FAST FORWARD  

 

“Okay class! That is it for today! I wish you guys had a good vacation.” Irene said dismissing the class and sent them off.

“Irene! Irene!” Irene looked at the side to see Rose calling her   

“Let’s grab some coffee before going home.” 

“Pass” Irene said declining the offer 

“What, you never pass on coffee.” 

“I’m just not in the mood to drink today”

“Suit yourself. I guess I will see you in the house”

Irene nodded and gave a goodbye wave

“Be careful on your way home” 

Irene went back to her classroom to grab her things and ready to go home when she heard a loud noise in the other classroom. Irene took a look and saw a little girl was laying on the floor unconscious with blood all over her head and on top of her was a wooden chair. Irene was shocked and hurriedly went to the classroom to help the young child.

Irene panicked while removing the chair. She get a handkerchief on her bag and put her head on her hands  to help the bleeding to stop she then grabbed her phone and call 911.

Irene was walking back and forth near the emergency room when the door opened up 

“Are you the guardian of the child?”

“Ah yes.”

“Well the child is stable good thing you acted quickly and prevent more blood from coming out you did the first aid like a professional. Are you perhaps a doctor?”

Irene sigh in relief 

“No, I’m a teacher”

“Oh I see, you have the characteristic to be a good doctor. I better go now.” The doctor said while smiling at her. Irene bowed at him.

Her phone suddenly rang

“Hello... Oh yes ma’am she’s already in stable condition.... No, it’s okay, I will stay with her...de.” When she ended the call she looked at the side to see a her friends

“What happened?” Sungkyung said looking at Irene shirt covered with some blood.

“She got into an accident but the doctor said she’s already fine.”

“Are you okay?” Seulgi asked looking worried

“I was scared when I saw the child but I see everything is okay it makes me relief.” The 3 of them looked at Irene

“You did not got anxiety? you always freak out when you see blood”

“Come to think of it, I’m not that scared of blood anymore I don’t know why.” Irene said looking at them.

“That’s new your not afraid of blood anymore and come to think of it your good at things you weren’t before like cooking, what’s up with you?” Rose said with curiosity written in her face

“Yah, people change. Everyone can be good at something you know, it takes time.” Irene said and looking at ER opened again with the little girl on the bed assist by nurses.

After they make sure the young girl is taking a good rest and after Irene changed her clothes they decided to grabbed some coffee at the cafe of the hospital and talked.

“Guys did you heard the news?” Seulgi said and Sungkyung and Rose paid attention while Irene sat there just drinking her coffee not showing some interest.

“What news?” Sungkyung said

“The first son of the chairman of this hospital is going back after staying overseas for 2 years.”

“Really! That’s good news then. Imagine the things he should have gone through after loosing her fiancée.” Rose said pouting she grabbed her phone and looked at his pictures Sungkyung and Seulgi also went to her side to see

“He’s very handsome. There’s also a rumor that his younger brother is attending our school but no one knows who it is” Sungkyung said drinking her coffee while looking at the picture.

“Their family is so secretive. We only know about the basics of them.” Rose said and Seulgi and Sungkyung just agreed

“It also says after his fiancée died he never looked into other woman and he change a lot. He becomes cold hearted to everyone except for his friends.” Seulgi said

“His friends are handsome too and famous.” Sungkyung said and both of them agreed. Irene just looked at them with a disappointing face.

“If you guys aren’t my friends I would think that you guys are stalkers.” Irene said eating the bread they also ordered

“Ay look at this girl, my guts tell me you are also interested” Sungkyung said looking at her with a teasing gaze

“Come here and look” Rose said

“You guys know I’m not interested in those kinds of stuff. And beside I hate reading and watching news. Some of them give you false hope and idea so look what happened to our country.” Irene said telling her point of view

“Why does it comes to news your so negative.” Seulgi said 

“Growing up I learned that you should never trust news they make people’s life miserable.” Irene sipped her coffee and Sungkyun, Rose, and Seulgi just sighed and went back to their respective chairs.

“You know Irene your the only person we know that lacks so much when it comes to this kind of stuff.” Sungkyung said and Irene just smiled.

“Changing the subject, Where’s the parents of the child?” Seulgi said 

“They were in a business trip in Busan and they said they would be arriving here tomorrow so I think I have to stay here.” Irene said

“Business trip huh, they must be rich.” Rose said

“Yes they are, they own multiple company of restaurants both national and international they also own the Kim corporation.” Irene said 

“KIM CORPORATION!” Sungkyung, Rose, and Seulgi almost shouted at Irene.

“Why is anything wrong? Is that even shocking.” Irene said cluelessly 

“You do never watch any news, do you” sungkyung said and Irene shrugged it off

“You see the Kim Corporation’s daughter Kim Yoojung was the fiancée of the Son of this hospital which died in a car accident few years ago. She was very beautiful, talented, smart, everything that you can think of.” Rose said

“Agree, supposed they are 3 of them her older sister, Yoojung, and that girl that you brought.” Seulgi said looking at Irene

“Really, then where’s her older sister.” Irene said with curiosity

“No one knows. Her older sister was missing when she was just 5 or 4 years old and Yoojung was just 3. They tried to look for her but never found her. Some people said that she was kidnapped and killed some people also said that she died when their boat that they were riding was crashed and never seen her body, but no one knows what really happened” Sungkyung said

“That’s horrible. They must have suffered a lot” Irene said shivering at the thought.

“Well I guess that is how reality works.” Seulgi said looking at the time

“We better go now, we will cover your shift for tomorrow so after your done here take a rest.” Seulgi said standing up and the rest of them followed.

Irene just nodded.

She watched them took off and went back to the room of the child.

Irene looked at her snd patting her head

“It must have been hard for you experiencing this stuff. Losing already your two older sisters you must be sad and not remembering much about them. You have to stay strong, your parents lose 2 of their daughters and I’m sure they can’t bare it if they lose you too.” Irene thought

She sit’s down on the chair next to her and sleep.

 

“Eomma, Appa! *coughed* help Eomma! Appa” a little girl said while drowning into the water 

Irene was in a boat and looked at the child in panicked “Kid grabbed my hand!” She said reaching her hand but her arm is not long enough but Irene did not stop reaching until she saw the little girl drowned under the water. “Nooooo!”

 

“Nooooo!” Irene shouted and wakened up 

“Ah that stupid dream again. Why do I get those dreams from time to time!” She sighed and grabbed some water at the corner and look at the window. 

“It’s already morning.” She thought

“Eomma, Appa.” Irene heard a weak voice she turned around to see the little girl opening her eyes. She quickly went to her side “Your finally awake!”

“Who are you?” The girl said

“I’m teacher Irene that teaches in the school your attending to. What’s your name?”

“Kim  Eunkyung.”

“Eunkyung~ ah are you feeling better?”

Eunkyung just nodded

“That’s a relief then. Can you tell me what happened”

“I was playing in the classroom when I bump into something and something fell hard above me.” She said. Irene then fixed her bed

“You must be hungry good thing I bought some oranges.”  Irene said grabbing her bag and reveal 3 pieces of oranges and started to peel it off. She gave a piece to Eunkyung and noticed a tear fell into her eyes

“Eunkyung~ah are you okay.” Irene said as she wiped her tears

“Teacher Irene I missed my sister. She used to take care of me and gave me fruits whenever I’m sick. I didn’t see her for a long time. I heard from older people that my sister died and will never come back.”  Eunkyung said looking at Irene with her tears continue to fall down to her cheeks. Irene felt sorry and sad for a little girl who’s hurting so much at a young age.

“Eunkyung~ah your sister just traveled in a looooong journey and went to take a rest in a beautiful place called heaven. It’s more beautiful there than here. I’m sure your sister also misses you so much. Do you believe that she’s alive?” Irene said looking at her

“Yes”

“Then as long as you believe that she’s alive then she is alive. You may not see her but her unconditional love for you is right here.” Irene said pointing at her heart.

“So don’t cry you don’t want her to be sad right,”

Eunkyung just nod “then smile for me. How about I will be your sister from now on just temporary until your sister come back, sounds good.”

“Yes!” Eunkyung said smiling

“Here it some oranges” Irene said giggling. 

Irene did not notice that someone is listening to their conversation.

Incheon Airport

“There’s already guards outside for your arrival master and master Joohyuk, Taehyung, and Jingoo are waiting for you outside as well.” Bogum’s secretary said. He just nodded

“Cancel everything I have today. I just arrived and their is somewhere I want to go.” Bogum said looking at his secretary, he just nodded.  Bogum then put his sunglasses on. Once the sliding door opened flashes of camera meet Bogum’s gaze and also fans. He started walking when he abruptly stopped to see his friends and smiled at them. They went towards him and Joohyuk was the first one to hugged Bogum “Welcome Home” Bogum returned the hug. Then Jingoo and Taehyung followed 

They then walked together to the car waiting for them outside of the airport. 

Bogum stopped when he saw the car and started to shake he pulled out medicine in his pocket and hurriedly put it to his mouth he then stopped shaking and went in to the car his friends looked at him worried 

“He still got those anxiety” Taehyung said they just nodded and followed him inside of the car. They then went to a restaurant Bogum reserved for the 4 of them.

“How’s America?” Taehyung asked looking him

“Good.” Bogum said looking at his wine

“Are you planning to go back to work?” Jingoo said

“I’m still deciding. You guys know that after that incident I lose my interest in medicine” Bogum said looking at all of them they all just sighed

“Bogum it’s been 2 years. Don’t let yourself be stuck on the past.” Joohyuk said

“I know that but for the 16 years that we have been together it’s not easy to forget.” 

“Are you still blaming yourself for what happened?” Jingoo said at him

Bogum just smiled 

“I still do even I keep saying it’s just an accident but who to blame......Even though I’m still deciding to go back to work as a doctor, I already agreed to take over some of my family business.”

“That’s good to hear then... Do you still got anxiety?” Taehyung asked

“From time to time..... Being in America and staying away from Korea helps me to recover a little bit.” They all looked at Bogum in understanding.

“So what’s your plan?” Joohyuk asked

“I’m planning to visit her since it’s been a long time.”

“Do you want us to come with you?”

“You guys still have work. I would be fine besides I won’t stay there for long anyway.” Joohyuk, Taehyung, and Jingoo just nodded.

After lunch they went to their separate ways.

Bogum then arrived to where Yoojung is having flowers into his hands.

“Yoojung~ah how are you? I’m sorry I just visited after a long time. I brought your favorite flowers, here” he put the flowers near to her name

“I miss you so much hon” he said tearing up

“The view here is amazing. I never thought it would be this pretty. I’m sorry, I wish your here.” He then feel a strong wind blowing his way

“You are here.” His phone started ringing and saw Yoojung’s mother showed up he hurriedly answer the phone.

“Yeoboseyo Eomoni...Yes I’m already in Korea... It’s okay... What! Eunkyung?... Okay I will be there.” Bogum turned of his phone and hurriedly went to Seoul National Hospital.

Bogum found Eunkyung’s room. When he opened the door he saw a women handling Eunkyung a piece of orange. He was about to go to Eunkyung when they started talking about Yoojung. He stays still and listen to their conversation after listening he looked down and ready to leave when

“Oh oppa!” Bogum heard and saw both Eunkyung and the woman stared at him.
