Irene was eating her noodles when someone tap her shoulder 

“Yes?” Irene said looking at a woman standing in front of her

“Are you Ms. Irene?” The woman said with a smile

“Yes? May I ask who you are?”

“Can you come with me?” 

“I’m sorry but I don’t just come with someone who I barely know.” Irene answered hoping she would leave

“Then let me introduce myself... I’m secretary Sora, I’m the private secretary of Madam Park. I’m sorry to interrupt but she asked for you.”

Irene was confused and put her chopsticks down

“Madam Park? If she want’s to talk to me she should have just come and see me personally. If she have a private secretary that mean’s she’s rich. Do rich people like to summon people below them or something?” Irene thought, she then looked at the secretary in the eye and declined

“But miss,”

“Sorry to disturb you but I’m not coming. It’s early in the morning and you don’t have any idea what I got myself into. Can you leave me alone, please”

“Miss, if you won’t come with me, you would face a bigger problem. Trust me” Irene doubted at first bit decided to go. They both went to a car and Irene’s face was in awe when she saw a luxury car in front of her. The secretary opened the car and motion her to get in and she did. The secretary then looked at the side to see Bogum talking to someone in the phone and she just smirked and went inside sitting next to Irene.

 

After a while they arrived in their destination. Irene looked around to see a big house in front of her

“Wow! Who’s house is this?” Irene asked looking at the secretary

“We’re at the Park’s residence.” The secretary asked 

Irene nod but then her head started to feel a bit of pain. She touched her head and closed her eyes.

Irene saw a vision of her linking herself with a man in this house. She couldn’t tell who it is because it was too blurry.

“Are you okay” Irene opened her eyes with the secretary’s voice. Irene looked at her and nod.

“Since we are here. Let’s get out” 

Irene got out and face a large door in front of her

“Come in, Madam is waiting for you.”

Irene entered the house and saw a middle aged woman sitting in the couch she looked at Irene with a warm smile, Irene smiled back

“Come and seat” the middle aged woman said tapping the sit next to her and Irene did what she said.

She grabbed a tabloid and show it to her. Irene looked at it and widen her eyes.

Irene scrolled down to see pictures of her and Bogum

“What the! that Bastard! Privacy my foot! He told me no one would be at his backdoor and, this just happened a while ago, internet these days really are astonishing.” Irene said confused and still looking at the pictures with him in his house and entering the backdoor in and out

“But how did you get this?” Irene said questioningly drinking the water in front of her from frustration 

“I’m his mother.” Irene almost chocked and looked at the the old woman

“Mother!” 

The old woman just smiled and nodded

Irene reflected on what she said for a while and said

“The thing that I said earlier was just a joke madam. I was just...well... I was, shocked.. He is a good man and his very unique in some way... I think.” Irene said smiling mumbling the last words

“You don’t need to explain. I called you here to make things clear. Are you dating my son?” Irene wave her hands

“No, no, no, no, no we are not dating, absolutely not.”

“Then can you explain this to me?” Madam Park said in a gentle tone

Irene bit her lips and started explaining

“I was a teacher in the school when I saw him there. I was just talking to him when those reporters showed up. I don’t really have any intention. I don’t even know he was famous until a few days ago. I was pushed around so he helped me and insisted to go to his house because the reporters would be following us anyway especially me. We went to the back door but I didn’t know their would be reporters there. So in other words his just helping. I don’t really have any connections with him or do anything stupid with him.” Madam Park just nod in understanding

“If that’s the case my apologies. I wish he didn’t trouble you that much.” Madam Park said with a smile

“That’s okay. It’s not like it was planned or something.” Irene said with a sigh

“Don’t worry I’m taking good care of the articles, and the reason why I called you here is to do me a favour, if it’s okay” Irene bit his lips for a moment and nodded

“What is it?”

“As you already know Bogum is my son and he is plan to get married anytime soon. I wan’t you to be his personal secretary and a bodyguard, and report to me everything that his up to... It’s only for a moment until he get married.” Madam Park looked at Irene’s eyes with determination 

“Personal Secretary? bodyguard? I’m sorry but I’m a kinder teacher and that is way different from the work of a personal secretary nor a bodyguard... Besides I don’t want to be his secretary his too much to handle.” Irene said

“I ask you, please...” 

“Why me?”

“Because your smart, talented, pretty, determined, a fighter, and would do anything for people around you”

“Pardon”

“I believe in your capability. I always look for girls who’s more like you but most of them failed me.” Madam Park said with a disappointing face

“You don’t even know me?”

“It does not take some time to know you... I believe in you.”

“I have no idea to what your saying but still I’m really sorry. I can’t accept the job,” Irene stand up turned around to look at the door, she was ready to take a step when Madam Park stopped her

“I see that your also a hard to get person. I don’t want to be selfish either. He’s not himself anymore ever since that accident 2 years ago. All of the private secretary that I hired, resigned because of his cold character. I know deep inside theirs my son who’s trap at the past and doesn’t like to let go. I’ll pay you a higher price amount” Madam Park said with a sad tone head down

“When you said accident that happened 2 years ago, are you reffering to the car accident?”

“Yes... Ever since that horrible day, everyone became devastated especially to Bogum... I’m only asking you for temporarily until he gets married.”

Irene sighed and saw the desperation in madam Park’s eyes

“Only temporarily though.” Irene said biting her lips

It makes here at ease when she saw the middle aged woman smile from ear to ear.

Irene and madam Park startled when a loud bang was heard.

“EOMONI! ABEOJI!” The owner of the voice said

“Bogum, why are you shouting?” Madam Park said when she saw the owner of the voice. Irene stand still and looked at Bogum’s furious-confused look

“You knew about this didn’t you!” Bogum said standing in front of his mother not noticing Irene

“Knew what?” His mom asked confused

“Oh come on eomoni! You knew that Halaboji, Abeoji, and Uncle is going to set me up for an arrange marriage.” Bogum said

His mother just sight and Bogum finally noticed Irene

“What are you doing here?” Bogum said confused 

“She will be your private secretary from now on”

“You guys are crossing the line here! Since when did you guys keep on interfering  my life! This is my life and I will decide what I want to do... either you guys like it or not.” Bogum said

That was the first time Irene saw Bogum that was very furious

Bogum turned around and walked out. Her mother just collapse to the couch crying and sighing.. Irene bit her lips and comfort Madam Park and then went after Bogum.
