Seoul National Hospital

 

Bogum woked up to see his friends standing on each side of his bed.

“He’s a wake!” Taehyung said 

“Where am I? What happened?” Bogum asked looking at them

“Your at the hospital. You were involved in a car accident.” Joohyuk said and then it hit Bogum

“Where’s Yoojung!” Bogum said panicking

3 of them looked at each other doesn’t know how to tell Bogum about Yoojung’s passing.

“You better rest first.” Joohyuk said 

“No! I want to see Yoojung! Where is she?” 

“Bogum don’t be shocked.... Yoojung passed away. I’m sorry” Taehyung said looking down tears dropping

“What....What are you guys saying! Yoojung is not dead.... We were together yesterday preparing for the wedding. That’s impossible. If this is a prank you should stop cause it’s not a good one!” Bogum said totally loosing it Joohyuk hold him still

“How I wish we were just joking. How I wish it’s just a prank that we played as kids, but it isn’t.” Jingoo said facing him

“I’m sorry.”

“I.... I want to see her!” Bogum said holding his tears the 3 of them looked at each other and nodded.

 

Bogum was on a wheelchair pushed by Taehyung. They opened the door to where Yoojung is and Bogum saw Yoojung laying in a bed covered with a blanket. Taehyung put Bogum to the side and left Bogum alone. 

Bogum grabbed the top of the blanket still hoping it wasn’t her. Tears are flowing down his cheeks. When he pulled down the cover to see Yoojung’s face. He can’t help but feel sorry towards her and anger to himself.

He reached his hands to his head

“Yoojung~ah! Yoojung~ah wake up! We still have a wedding to prepare! Yoojung wake up! Stand up from that bed, please! You said you wouldn’t leave me! W.....WHY!” Bogum cried like it was the end of his world. Without her his world is nothing but full of unhappiness and sorrows.

 

 

A lot of reporters gathered at the hospital and shocked at the news of Yoojung’s passing.

Many people attended Yoojung last moments. She wear the wedding gown at her funeral that she supposed to wear at her wedding.

“Joohyuk what do we do Bogum is not himself anymore.” Jingoo said looking at Bogum who refused to see Yoojung’s grave

“Let him be. If it’s hard for us losing Yoojung as a friend what more to Bogum. It would take time to heal.” Joohyuk said also looking at Bogum

“But I also hope he realize that this is the life Yoojung doesn’t want for him.” Taehyung added and went to him to where he was standing looking up to the clear blue sea. Bogum notice his presence and said while tearing up

“If I didn’t drive that day. If I wasn’t so careless. If I did not let her to come with me she would still be alive. If it wasn’t for me....” 

“Bogum it’s not your fault. It was an accident, you don’t want this to happen, no one did. We lose Yoojung and we don’t want to lose you next. This isn’t the life Yoojung wants for you.” Taehyung said looking at him. Bogum looked at him

“Without Yoojung my life is incomplete. Without her by my side I’m nothing. Do you understand!...... or maybe you don’t because you never loved truthfully your just a playboy!” He said knowing his words would hurt Taehyung but he doesn’t care.... anymore

“Bogum!” Joohyuk said comming to them with Jingoo after hearing what he said

“That’s too much.” Jingoo said looking at Taehyung’s fist and to Bogum

“What it’s true. You guys wouldn’t understand.. and never will.” Bogum said with a stern voice

“Bogum your not the only one who’s suffering here. Eomeoni and  Abeoji are also suffering because they lose Yoojung. We are also suffering because we lost a friend that is like our sister, personal doctor, etc. Please!” Taehyung said looking at him with husky voice  from his tears

“How can I be okay when we spend for 16 years together. Our wedding is supposed to be today but instead we held her funeral.” Bogum said walking away without turning around. 3 of them just look at each other doesn’t know what to do.

After the accident Bogum developed anxiety when he’s inside the car especially if he’s at the driving seat.

Irene woken up seeing his friends looking at her

“Where am I?” She said looking around

“Your awake!” Sungkyung said with a happy tone

“Your at the hospital. Good thing you finally woken up.” Rose said and sigh in relief 

“Something feels weird.” Irene said touching her heart

“What do you mean” Seulgi said looking at her clutching her chest

“I can’t explain it.” Irene said confused

“Don’t worry you just got a heart transplant surgery so it should feel a bit weird with your new heart but everything would be fine we just need to take it slow.” 

Sungkyung said with an reassuring smile

After staying at the hospital for a few days they finally went home. Sungkyung, Rose, Seulgi, had agreed that Irene would take a 2 month leave in teaching to hopefully recover. While the 3 of her friends would be working.

One day Irene decided to stroll to the beach to refresh her mind. Every since she got out of the hospital she always dream weird things about a guy but it’s to blurry to make out who he is. She feels bad and started crying for no reason at all sometimes. 

While walking she bump into someone that makes her fall to the ground.

“You should watch were you going.” The person said not helping her and started walking. Irene was mad that she got up and called the guy.

“Yah! You a simple sorry would be enough you know! What kind of a man are you! Yah! Wow~ I see this world is now full of guy like you!” Irene said widening her eyes while looking at his back turned around. He just looked at the side while eyeing on her.

“You talked to much do you. Stop making excuses if you want my signature I’m not giving it. People like you should get lost.”  He said walking away. Irene was dumbfounded and pointed at him

“Wh..What? Signature? Get lost?! Yah! Even this would be the end of the world I would never want your dumb signature. And why? Are you famous! I don’t even know you! What an arrogant person! Get lost my foot!” Irene said kicking the sand in frustration!

“Going here should clear my head... aish it turns out I got more stressed out! That guy aish!” She then walked going home.

After encountering the nosy girl Bogum looked at the beach “Yoojung I missed you. It’s been 20 days since I send you off. It still doesn’t feel real! I want to be with you..... I know this is the life you don’t want me to have but how can I start without you.” Bogum said kneeling to the ground of sand while tearing up. He closed his eyes and remember the memories they spend together.

Bogum went to his house that he bought for him and Yoojung. He looked at the empty space and went to his room laying down on his bed.

He then heard knocking from the door. He forced himself to stand up and opened the door to reveal Secretary Lee

“What do you want”

“Master Bogum you looked pale are you not eating anything?”

“I’m doing fine. Go straight to the point, why are you here.” He said not interested in anything. Secretary lee nooded 

“Your parents want to see you. Since you turned off your phone and unable to reach since the accident they are worried.”

“Tell them I’m fine and taking a rest. I’m not in the mood to see them. Tell them also that the company they want me to handle I will think about it” He then closed the door.

He turned his back at the door and lean on it.....
