Finally, the second chapter (and finally, a Jinji interaction). This one is longer than the previous one. Please bear with me since I like slow development in a story.

It was 8AM. Jinyoung woke up by the sound of his alarm but truth be told, he didn't sleep much last night.

He couldn't stop thinking about the meeting, and his first script reading, and what should he talk about to avoid any awkwardness. When he realized that he need a distraction to help his distracted mind, he took a book on his nightstand and began reading. He couldn't concentrate but at least reading had finally made him sleepy, plus his fatigue from practicing began to kick in. He fell asleep at 4AM.

After having quite a hard time getting up, Jinyoung shut his alarm off and went to take a shower. Maybe a refreshing and quick cold shower will do, he thought, despite the cold weather. Once he finished, he took whatever clothes and sweater that he saw and put them on. Since today's schedule would be an important broadcast, GOT7 stylist would dress him up, he didn't need to bother about his own clothes. He just need to come early to the JYP building to get his makeup, hair, and outfit done. He went out once his manager arrived to pick him up.

"We need to buy a birthday cake first," manager-hyung told Jinyoung.

"I don't remember someone is having a birthday today, hyung," Jinyoung replied. He turned his head to look at his manager but hyung continued driving.

"Yeah, not you guys. Yesterday was Doyoung-ssi birthday."

"D-Doyoung-ssi?" Jinyoung whispered to himself, trying to remember the familiar name.

"Yah, your new colleague for Inkigayo, you don't remember?"

"A-ah, I see."

They went silent for a few minutes until Jinyoung started a coversation.

"Hyung, how do you know that yesterday was Doyoung-sii's birthday?"

His manager shook his head. "I don't know, either. Jisoo-ssi's manager told me about it. She told me this early morning, Jisoo-sii found out that yesterday was Doyoung-ssi's birthday so she asked her manager to inform me and the other Inkigayo team, and also asked if we can help them buy the cake."

"I see."

"You know who is Jisoo-ssi?" Manager-hyung asked, but there was a hint of teasing in his tone. Jinyoung took a glance on his hyung, relieved that his manager was still focused on looking at the front. Otherwise, he would see Jinyoung's surprise and obvious expression.

"Well, she is also my future co-worker."

"You forgot about Doyoung-ssi but you remember Jisoo-ssi? Hmm," Manager-hyung grinned. Jinyoung his lips trying to find any excuse but before he could utter it, they arrived at a bakery. I can't believe that hyung has already started to tease me at this early morning, he mentally groaned, feeling drained all of sudden.

"Jinyoung-ah, you choose the cake." And then manager-hyung walked away to choose his own bread.

Jinyoung shook his head, but he smiled. His manager was definitely not a morning person, which was quite ironic since being a manager meant that you had to wake up earlier than anybody else, and slept later. Such a hard life.

Jinyoung looked inside the cooling rack and there were only tiramisu cake and cheese cake. He considered choosing tiramisu cake because almost everyone he knew loved tiramisu cake. However, he held back for a moment and decided to do a quick research. He searched Doyoung's favorite food in the search engine finding out that he actually liked anything with cheese. Woah, lucky aren't we.

"Excuse me. I would like to buy this cheesecake."

"For a birthday?" the shop assistant asked.

"Uh, ne," Jinyoung nodded.

"Then I'll include the free candles. Do you prefer the numbered candles or the spiral ones?"

"Uh...," I don't know his exact age. Maybe just the normal candles would do. "The spiral ones."

"Okay!"

"Hyung, can you help me pay?" And after manager-hyung paid for the cake and for his own bread, they went back to the van and drove to JYP building. The entire trip, Jinyoung couldn't help but feeling the nervousness budding inside once again and it became worse as they were getting close to JYP building.

"Good luck, unnie!" Lisa hugged Jisoo and literally screamed beside her ear.

"Ah! You're too loud, you big baby. I'll miss you!" Jisoo hugged the maknae back, screaming at her as well. They were so loud early in the morning, seriously. Jennie came out from her room after brushing her teeth and immediately hugged Jisoo.

"Jisoo. you'll do great! Fighting!"

"Jendeukie, thank you! Where is Rose?"

"She's still in her room sleeping I think," Lisa was about to wake Rose when Jisoo stopped her.

"Lisa, it's fine. Let her sleep! I have to go, anyway. See you guys tonight!" Jisoo waved at the girls, catching up to her manager, Lee Sang-won, whom she usually called manager-unnie.

"Tell me everything, okay!" Jennie yelled just before Jisoo closed the door. Both Jisoo and manager-unnie hurriedly walked to the lobby.

"We are late, actually. And sorry that you have to do your own makeup and hair all by yourself."

"It's fine, unnie. I don't want to be too formal, anyway," Jisoo smiled. That was a lie, though, she was not fine at all. She spent one hour after taking a shower to choose her outfit and at the end she picked all black outfit for that day. A black oversized t-shirt, a black skinny jeans, and black boots. She also kept her hair down since she didn't have time to curl her hair, and only put on a simple, no-makeup makeup look. I hope I'm not too plain for a first impression, Jisoo kept her worry to herself.

And one more thing she was worried about: Doyoung's birthday surprise that she came up with. Just when she was about to sleep last night, she went through the profile of the other two MCs, finding out that it was Doyoung's birthday. She suddenly had the urge to ask if Jinyoung-ssi wanted to help her celebrating Doyoung's birthday. She thought, this might be one of their chances to get to know each other and to become friends quickly. She looked for Jinyoung's SNS, wanting to contact him directly. However, she halted her intention and decided to text her manager instead. Unnie, today is Doyoung-ssi's birthday. I think it's better for me and Jinyoung-ssi to celebrate his birthday as a start of our friendship. What do you think we should do? and just a few minutes later, her manager called.

"You want to make a birthday celebration for him?"

"Ne, do you think it's too...I don't know...aggressive, or something?" Jisoo doubting her idea.

"Not at all. It's a great idea. But you're sure today's his birthday?"

"Yes, I checked his profile."

"Then, maybe...since GOT7 dorm must be closer to JYP building, I'll tell Jinyoung's manager to buy the cake. And I'll inform Inkigayo's team tomorrow morning. I think they will be happy about it."

"Ne, unnie. Kamsahamnida," Jisoo politely hung up.

And now here she was hoping that the celebration wouldn't be too awkward. They just started to know each other for one day and suddenly there was a birthday celebration. I guess, Doyoung-ssi would think of it as a friendly gesture.

Manager-unnie drove to JYP in silent, trying to concentrate on driving since they were already late. Jisoo decided to play with the games on her phone to distract her from the sickening silence. After a while, they arrived in JYP building.

Here he was in JYP building, and as an SME artist, Doyoung had to admit that it was really...uncomfortable. Maybe because for as long as he knew, SM had somehwat built this exclusivety and rivalry notion towards JYP or YG. His manager led him through the corridor and stopped in front of a small conference room. Not so far from him was a handsome young man, dressed up in a casual yet mature style.

Ah, this must be Jinyoung-sunbaenim, Doyoung thought. He observed his sunbae for a while. Jinyoung is taller than him, but not so much. However, unlike Doyoung, he had a bigger built and gave off a masculine vibe. Not to mention that he was extremely handsome up close. Last night, he was busy looking up his fellow MC on the search engine, finding out that his colleagues were both handsome and beautiful. Doyoung realized that he was really lucky to be chosen as the MC among other SM artsts, when he knew there were so many more handsome and beautiful idols in SM.

A few minutes later, a staff came out and asked Jinyoung to go in. Doyoung was asked to come in later. Once inside, Jinyoung right away shook his hand and greeted him. Both of them displayed a friendly but awkward smile, then laughed at how thick the awkward atmosphere was.

"Jinyoung-sunbaenim, I'm really happy that I get to work with a famous senior like you," Doyoung started the conversation in a polite manner, earning an acknowledgement smile from Jinyoung.

"Ah, I'm flattered. Thank you, Doyoung-ssi. You can just call me hyung,"

"Ne, I feel honored. This is really my first time coming inside the JYP building." Doyoung nervously laughed.

"You must be feeling uncomfortable. I think I will feel as nervous if I have to visit SM," Jinyoung laughed, showing off his wrinkled eye-smile.

"Did you wait for a long time,...hyung," Doyoung hesitated for a while, and once again nervously smiled, making Jinyoung laughed at his obvious uneasiness.

"Ani, it's fine. I have to be here earlier that my guest."

They chatted for a while until someone knocked and Jisoo came in. In an instant, Doyoung and Jinyoung stood up, giving the middle chair to Jisoo. Doyoung moved Jisoo's chair slowly, being a perfect gentleman. Jinyoung cursed himself for being a second too late.

"Annyeonghaseyo," she greeted everyone in the room politely. "I'm sorry I am late. It's really nice to meet all of you." and the three of them sat in front of Inkigayo staff.

There was a three-second silence and all of them (literally all of them, including the staffs) laughed because it was so awkward. Then, without further awkwardness, the PD of Inkigayo began to explain the job tasks and the script that they had to learn: the greetings, the technical things, and so many other matters. Right before their first script reading, Doyoung came up with an amazing suggestion.

"Why don't we shorten our name into...um...JinJiDo. Jin for Jinyoung, Ji for Jisoo, and Do for Doyoung." At that moment, almost everyone in the room went hyped.

"It's a great idea!"

"I like it, Doyoung-ssi," Jinyoung complimented his hoobae with a thumbs up. Jisoo nodded, smiling ear to ear.

"Alright, from now on you three will be called JinJiDo."

To say that Jinyoung was amused was an understatement. The meeting was better than he had expected. In just a short moment, the three of them had become rather comfortable of each other. Jisoo was much more talkative than he had imagined and she was not afraid to do funny, random expression and laughed at her own silliness. Doyoung, on the other hand, was a genius when it came to reaction. He knew the timing to in and throw his jokes, or aegyo. He, himself, was rather quieter than the other two but he knew by now that his role was to keep them in place. He was indeed the oldest among the three, and he could also be playful if he wanted to but he couldn't be too distracted. Credibility is my role. That was what he thought.

That girl, though. He couldn't help but be distracted.

Jinyoung had been in the show business for a few years and he had met beautiful female idols in music shows or award shows, or even trainees and fellow girl groups under JYP. He could name a few; Apink Bomi was his ultimate favorite, and Twice Nayeon, his bestfriend, was definitely cute. He knew some male idols like the ier type like EXID Hani. Oh, not to forget, Red Velvet Irene, too. She was deemed the most beautiful and natural female idol, wasn't she?

But Kim Jisoo. She was just...different.

Something about her, is definitely different, Jinyoung thought. She was beautiful, extremely beautiful. A real goddess, indeed, maybe on par with Irene. She was cute, although he still thought Nayeon was cuter. She was cheerful, though she was not as bubbly as Bomi. But she was...genuine. Like everything she did was not for a show, or for the broadcast.

Jinyoung admitted that he had expected more from her. Watching her previous performances as BlackPink, he thought she would come in fancy, branded clothes and fabulous hairstyle, with chic or girly makeup. Before she came in, he kept thinking if he was underdressed. He was then relieved that Doyoung showed up with similar outfit. When she came in, though, he realized she was dressed in humble outfit. Her hair was straight and she didn't put much makeup.

But, damn, she was still so beautiful.

"Jinyoung-ssi, are you listening?" The dance instructor called Jinyoung for the third time. Jinyoung quickly turned his head to face the teacher, his face in panic and embarassment. And you said you will be the one leading them without getting distracted.

"A-ah, ye, joesonghamnida. I apologized. Can you please repeat what you just said?" Jinyoung said as he bowed slightly to the instructor. He was utterly embarased.

Doyoung and Jisoo, however, chuckled. The instructor laughed along.

"It's fine, Jinyoung-ssi. I was just explaining what we are going to learn for today. All of you know that you will perform a special MC stage on your first day, right?" Doyoung and Jisoo nodded enthusiastically, smiling.

"The three of you will perform individually at first, before dancing together in the final song. Have you heard a song from the movie La La Land? It's called 'Somewhere in the Crowd'. Since it's from a musical movie, the dance will be similar to that kind of style. We are going to learn the basic and then I hope all three of you can continue practicing on your own. Is that okay?" The instructor asked.

"Yes! We're ready!" Doyoung yelled loudly. The instructor smiled and he turned to look at Jinyoung.

"Jinyoung-ssi, don't be distracted again, okay?" There was a hint of teasing in his voice and he winked at the pretty boy. Jinyoung smiled shyly. The dance instructor, then, walked away to prepare the song.

Just then, Jisoo approached Jinyoung, tilting her head in an adorable way.

"Jinyoung-ssi, what were you thinking just now?"

Jinyoung was taken aback for a split second but he regained his composure. He smiled politely. "I was just a little bit dizzy, I haven't eaten anything."

"Jinjjayo? How can you practice without eating breakfast!" Jisoo said, a little bit too loudly. Is she worried about me? Jinyoung mentally asked himself. Doyoung who overheard the conversation joined in.

"Hyung, do you want to eat bread? I can ask my manager for it!"

"Ah, yes! Manager-unnie might also have some extra sandwich. Do you want it? I think you shouldn't practice without eating breakfast first." Jisoo asked, worried.

"It's fine. I don't usually eat breakfast. Back in the trainee days, I usually went staright practicing after I woke up." Jinyoung assured them with a joke. The other two looked at him for a moment and then nodded.

"Alright, let's practice!" Jinyoung cheered.

They practiced for a good 20 minutes before the instructor gave them a break. Jinyoung was still practicing, trying to remember every movement. The dance was really simple, considering the little amount of time that they had to practice. He was confident in his skill, too. He was good with choreography, after all, he just need to memorize the dance better. He was just dancing lightly when someone tapped his shoulder gently.

"Jinyoung-ssi, you heard about the surprise birthday celebration for Doyoung-ssi, right?"

Jinyoung was, again, taken aback. He began to realize that Jisoo was not the type to feel uneasy when she was near someone from the opposite . He played along.

"Yes, you want to do it now?"

"I think, so! Doyoung-ssi is in the toilet, right now so we have to be quick!" Jinyoung nodded and he called his manager right away. Jisoo notified the PD, the staffs, and her manager to come to the practice room and celebrate with them. Jinyoung's manager brought in the cake and Jinyoung began preparing.

"Cheesecake?" Jisoo asked.

"I heard it is his favorite." Jinyoung replied, smiling. Jisoo, knowing what he meant by that, smiled in understanding. She was impressed by his consideration to do research for what Doyoung liked before he bought the cake.

"Okay, guys. We are ready!" Jisoo exclaimed excitedly.

They waited for a few minutes until Doyoung came and-

"Saengil chukha hamnida! Saengil chukha hamnida! Sarang ha neun Doyoung-ssi, saengil chukha hamnida!" Everyone sang along. Doyoung couldn't hide his shock, but in just a matter of seconds he had already laughing. Jisoo and Jinyoung approached him with the cake, candles were lit waiting to be blown.

"Ah, how do you know my birthday!?"

"Of course, we know. Doyoung-ssi! From now on, let's become good friends!" Jisoo answered. Jinyoung tapped the maknae's back, giving him encouragement. Must be a total shock, Jinyoung bet Doyoung would have never expected the surprise.

Doyoung closed his eyes and made a wish. The rest of the people in the room erupted in cheers and claps as Doyoung blew the candles.

"Happy birthday, Doyoung-ssi!"

"Whose idea is this? Thank you, thank you so so much!" Doyoung couldn't hide his curiosity.

"It's actually Jisoo-ssi's idea," Jinyoung told him, pointing at Jisoo.

"Wah, noona, thank you so much! And thank you so much for everyone who has celebrated with me!" Doyoung bowed 90 degrees to everyone in the room.

Jisoo then tapped Doyoung's shoulder, "But Jinyoung-ssi bought the cake. He even knew that you like cheesecake!" Jisoo winked at Jinyoung, making him embarassed.

"Aish, Jisoo-ssi! It's supposed to be a secret! Doyoung will know that we stalked him yesterday!"

"Jinjjayo, hyung, noona, I'm so speechless right now. I'm on the verge of tears." Doyoung pouted.

"Maknae-ah, don't cry! Such a big baby" she . He cried a little, still.

After Doyoung cut the cake into several pieces, everyone shared the cake. While everyone was busy, Doyoung took his phone, typing something.

"Jinyoung-hyung, Jisoo-noona, can I have your KakaoTalk? I want to make a group for us. A chatroom for Inkigayo MC!" Doyoung called his sunbaes. Jinyoung and JIsoo took their phones and they shared their contacts to each other.

"This way, it's better for us to discuss anything!"

"Thank you, Doyoung-ah," Jinyoung thanked the maknae, getting more and more casual with him.

"No, thank you to both of you, really. I came here feeling so nervous but you guys gave me a great surprise. I am shook to the core."

"From now on, the three of us should be great friends!" Jisoo smiled at the boys, who smiled back at her.

Just then, the dance teacher came in. "Now that we have finished the unexpected birthday celebration, let's go back to practice since we don't have much time."

Doyoung left first because he had another schedule after the practice. Before he went out, he took a video of Jinyoung who had mastered the dance really well, although Doyoung had memorized everything already. He wanted to take a video of Jinyoung and showed it to s later. And plus, he wanted to tease his new hyung.

"Can the teacher dance for you instead of me?"

"Gwenchanayo, hyung. Don't be shy. You are really a great dancer. You master the dance before me and noona," Doyoung held his phone ready to shoot. Jinyoung gave up and danced for Doyoung. On the left side, Jisoo was watching them, amused. After Doyoung finished recording, he bid his co-workers farewell and quickly followed his manager to go out.

It was just Jisoo and Jinyoung now.

"Jisoo-sii, do you still want to practice? Because you can go home if you want," the dance instructor asked her.

"I think I really need to practice more since I'm a bit slow when it comes to dancing." Jisoo shyly told him, slightly apologetic.

"How about you Jinyoung?"

"I have to meet Jaebum-hyung downstairs after this. But I think he will be alright to wait for a little more time."

"Okay, let's start again."

After practicing for another 15 minutes, Jisoo and Jinyoung were sure that they got everything right. It was a short and simple dance after all. Then, the choreographer told them about the concept that Inkigayo had for the special MC stage.

"So, there would be three doors. For Doyoung-ssi, for Jisoo-sii, and Jinyoung. Each one of you will dance individually first: Doyoung, Jisoo, Jinyoung, respectively. After every individual dance, you will go back to your 'door' except Jinyoung. Then Doyoung-ssi and Jinyoung would knock on you," pointing at Jisoo, "Jisoo-sii's door and you came out. They will hold your hands while walking forward for a few steps like I taught you. The last part should be clear, right?"

Jinyoung and Jisoo nodded. The dance instructor then excused himself as he wanted to go inform the managers that the practice had finished.

"I'm sorry that I get in the way of your schedule," Jisoo apologized to Jinyoung.

"I don't mind. I can't let you practice alone." Jisoo and Jinyoung smiled at each other for a short while until manager-unnie called Jisoo to go home.

"See you this Sunday, Jinyoung-ssi," she waved at him and walked away.

Jinyoung couldn't wait til Sunday come. Today had been an amazing day.
