the overview
ABOUT : Story premise is about married couples stumbling their way through marriage with mixed drinks that can kill and hope that they didn't run over anything on the way. The couples will all be living under one apartment (Eden Hall) run by Sehun's mother and that is where the couples becoming friends. The story is lighthearted with some drama to spice things up, but this is going to be predominantly in a sitcom-ish / crackfic style. Although the layout theme focuses on the wedding day, that will only be a chapter or so of the actual story so going into detail about their weddng day is optional. The couples do not have to be newlyweds, and this doesn't have to be their first marriage.
EDEN HALL : A motel turned multi-family residential building located in Incheon, Seoul. The building has 5 floors with 13 apartments total. The first floor has 1 bedroom stories for about $600/month. All the other floors has 3 bedroom stories, 2 on each floor. Hyemi is very particular with her tenants, mostly based off her brief interactions with potential renters. She loves renting out to happily married couples more than anything but doesn't mind renting to singles once in a blue moon.
TAKEN : C-actress Xing Fei is taken as face claim and EXO's Sehun is taken as love interest.
OTHERS : There's no password. I probably forgot some things, just lemme know if you have any questions. Also chosen apps will be about 4-5 apps but subjected to change depending on the apps.

the character
You may submit any gender, nationality, and race, but because this story is based in South Korea where homoual marriage is not legal, I'll only be accepting hetero couples. Sorry to those who wanted to apply for same couples!!
BASICS : Characters have to be korean age since that is SK's official legal age of marriage. Also bc i don't want to write about 16 y.o babies getting married sorry lol. Just make sure face claims make sense for your character and are legal in rl. Characters can be from anywhere but must be living in Seoul at the time of the story.
PERSONALITY : I don't really care how much you write as long as I can get a good grasp of your character. Just keep a balance between their negative and positive points. Don't give me two full paragraphs of their good side and barely one paragraph for their bad side. You can reuse characters or if you were a previous applicant for YMKTB, you can re-apply with the same character.
BACKGROUND : A paragraph or so would suffice, I'm just looking for the biggest events that shaped your character into who they are now.
RELATIONSHIPS : Only the most important ones. Maybe you have nosy in-laws who pratically live at your place, got married with someone who has a child, a pet who takes precedence over even your l/i, etc. Although collabs are allowed, it's honestly not neccessary since all the characters are/will become friends through Eden Hall.
the love interest
BASICS : Can be anyone but again, they must be living in S.K at the time of the story. Preferably within the kpop world for face claims. You also have the option to collab with others for this section, it'll be highly loved tbh lul. Also, idgaf about s. Make your character a cougar, it's your choice. Just make sure your love interest is legal, same with their faceclaim. For occupation, nothing within the showbiz so idols are not idols, etc. I want to write about normal, everyday couples so pls stray away from having their occupation be billionaires, or people with strong internet presence.
LOVE STORY : There's two sections - their relationship before the marriage, and the relationship after, with the latter being the focus of this story. So ideally, the "epilogue" section of the app should be the most detailed, second to your character's personality. There are no limits so maybe its an arranged marriage, they got too drunk in vegas, promised to get married to each other if they were single by 30, etc. It is all up to you. Let your imagination run wild.
MAISIE WU : Quick info about Maisie! Your characters would have all met Maisie since Eden Hall is under her listing aka she showed you the place, bribed Hyemi a lil to let your character move in, and talked your characters up to the sky. So bc of that, pls do add Maisie into your app, just so I can gauge the relationships between the couples. Even if its just simple impressions based off the brief period they met, that's fine!
