Kai goes back home, but his frustration didn’t leave him. It just grew up more. He punches his boxing bag to his heart’s content and finally he strips himself of his cloths, hopping into his shower. He scrubs his frustration out and finally walks out clad in only hi PJ pants. Wrapping the sheets around him, he sinks into is comfortable bed, in deep thoughts. He pulls out the book, her favorite book, from his bedside table and skims through it again. He opens the first page and finds a sentence. There was a line that pierced his heart, deep.

“Once up on a time there was a rabbit made of ceramics. The rabbit loved a girl and it watched her dying. That rabbit swore to not make the same mistake of falling in love again. But he did. Sometimes, someone comes into your life, so unexpectedly, takes your heart by surprise, and changes your life forever. ”

The story was so beautiful, just like her, inside out. The innocence of the story says how pure she is. Sehun was right. She is different, different from his world. She was like a different shaped puzzle peace, fitting perfectly into his life. Unknown to him, a tear drops from his eyes. His ego was too high for so long but he can’t let it destroy him anymore. All the ego, all the heater and all the jealousy was just to hide his budding feeling for her, suppressing his feelings for her. But he couldn’t hold it any more. He is in love; he found his true love and his first heart break at the same time. he knows, she wasn’t right for him, or maybe he wasn’t right for her. Even if he wants to, he can’t be with her and he knows it for sure. And more over, he is the one who feel this for her. For all he knows, she might be already fallen for his best friend.

“If there is no love, how can there be a happy ending.” He mutters as he falls asleep with his tear stained face, obvious to her hidden feeling. Sana was devastated as well, crying to sleep, just like the other two.

The next day Sans comes to the school with swollen eyes. She refuses to speak to any one and so do Kai. He enters the school that day to news that Winni left for a week of interschool science fair, along with all the club members, including Sehun. That fact made him even more disheartened. He didn’t even have a chance to begin with. Sehun is a fine guy and he too, can’t do that to his best friend.

It was just another gloomy day for Sana. D.O has been ignoring her for the past two day but it felt like two decades for her. She didn’t want to meet him either. She wasn’t just ready to let go. But the more she drags the more she feels suffocated. So she decided to meet him, settle everything between them.

She searches the whole campus and finally finds him in their hangout place, alone. He was playing the grand piano placed in one of the corners, a gift he got from all of them on his birthday. She stares at him as he counties playing Loving you, he favorite song while controlling all his emotions. When he finally looks up, she takes a long breath walking towards him, settling down beside him. She silently stars playing Mozart’s and D.O joins, naturally synchronizing together. They play together for a while until Sana bangs onto the piano, hitting a high note and stopping.

“I..think I am ready to let you go.”

“You are uncertain now. But its fine. You will learn to let go soon. There is no pretending that I love you and I will love you until I die and as promised, if there is another life after this, I will love you there. But you know we can’t be together and yes it hearts like hell..but I want you to be happy, cause I’m happy if you are, I’m just afraid that I will lose you as a friend, and the most that I’m afraid of is that no one will ever love you as much as I do. The only thing that’s standing between us is reality.”

“I wish I had never met you.”

“I had once wished that I had never met you too, but even if I had to turn back time, I would meet you again. You would have fallen in love with me agian and I would love you again.” He gets up as he puts a hand on her head, riffling it slightly and moves to the door when a hand stops him. He turns back questioningly and she replies

“Before you go, help me with something.” Saying that she pulls him by his collar, kissing him straight on his lips. They stay like that for few seconds before pulling away as Sana mutters

“It was a good bye kiss, just to make it easy for me.”

There was a cracking sound of the door and that’s when they realize that they weren’t alone. It was Kai. He had an unreadable expression on his face as he marches forwards, punching D.O right through his jaw, knocking him to the floor. D.O looks down, wiping the blood dripping from the corner of lips, guilty to look at him. Sana was about to get down onto the floor to help D.O when Kai drags her away with a firm hold on her wrist. He drags her until they reach the gardens, banging her against a tree. He looked pissed, one hand on his hips and another pulling his hair.

“Did he forc…”

“NO..I was the one. It was me who kissed him first.”

He takes a sharp breath as he sit down on a bench, holding his head as Sana sits down apprehensively beside him.

“I like him.” That’s when Kai lifts his head, staring at her silently asking her to continue.

“I like him; no I don’t want to hide anymore. I love him Kai. He makes me feel different. He makes me show him my true self, makes me feel safe, lifting all the burden of my shoulder. He is he one i want to have, even if i have to throw away everthing i have. It not like I have no feelings for you. I like you to, but it isn’t as driving as spending the rest of my life with you. He makes me feel that.”

“You sure do love him” he says with a small smile and Sana didn’t know what was the emotion behind it.

“But we can’t, we let go each other, he says that’s what good for us. He didn’t want to deceive you. And our parents, you know what they want. I am sorry Kai; we will never see each other anymore. I feel so suffocated doing this to you. Forgive me Kai, I did a mistake.”

“How can loving someone be a mistake you pabo.? And that idiot, I just feel in love with his loyalty man.”

“Ha..??” Sana was dumbfounded. He takes her small hands into his big ones as he stares deeply into her eyes.

“Don’t feel guilty for falling in love. He is your true love so don’t let him go. Instead let me. Let me give you the freedom you need.”

“But Kai, your parents..?? I know how they are. I don’t want you to face them for me.”

“If your life is on line, I can do anything. Let me do this favor for you as a friend. ?? I can still be there in your life right..??And you know what.?? It’s doesn’t hurt as much as I thought it would. Maybe I too never felt that deep to spend the rest of my life with you. It’s best to let go of the one holding you back instead of letting go of your happiness. I will speak to them. I will take on myself AND don’t worry, I am sure they are going to listen to me.”

He smiles wide, sincerity evident in his eyes. Sana couldn’t hold herself anymore. She springs forward, hugging him as she weeps hard. She was glad to have such an awesome person in her life. He waits as she calms down and holds her in front of him by her shoulder. He bends down to look into her eyes as she was busy weeping her tears.

“So now, stop crying and go be with your true love. That’s what you justly deserve.”

He looks and finds D.O standing a bit far from them, looking all guilty.

He untangles himself from Sana and walks to D.O, who held his head down. He snaps his fingers, making him look up.

“Looks like I need to tell you the same thing I told her. Listen, loving someone is not a mistake, so don’t feel guilty. Take good care of her, you know her better than me. Gosh, when did I become so damn matured man, my halaboji will be so proud of me. And you let go of your love for your friendship..?? I am impressed man.” Kai pats his shoulder with a goofy expression, while D.O still couldn’t sink in what just happened. Sana comes close to them as Kai stretches his hand, asking for one last hug. She bits her lips, stopping her tears from falling as she hugs him tight.

“I will take my leave now, you guys probably need some time.” Saying that Kai walks away and Sana looks back at the still flabbergasted D.O

“What just happened?”

“Look, if you still say something like letting go and stuff I am going to kill you” she hisses as she pounce onto him, hugging the daylight out. When he gets it, he hugs her back, tight, smiling wide.
