On the other side, Winni decided to take the next step. Her unrequited love for Kai is going without a destiny. They say that you will be happier when you are with the one who love you instead of the one you love. So when Sehun finally gathers up his courage to ask her on a date, she agrees.

It was a peaceful weekend when they went out to the COEX mall. Winni was wearing a knee length turquoise color frock which she borrowed from Sana, paired with a par of white snickers. She had light makeup and her long hair was set loose, making her absolutely gorgeous. Sehun was in blue jeans with a plain white t shirt with a pale blue shirt over it, letting the buttons loose. They looked good, unexpectedly wearing something similar to couple outfit. They had a brunch in KFC and roomed around the mall, occasionally stopping by different stores. Winni was having relatively good time and she was delighted that she accepted his request.

Kai enters a book store, smiling while searching for the romance section. He pulls out different novels, but he wasn’t sure what to buy. What to say, he never set his foot in a book store before, let alone buy one..?? He lingered around for a while until a sales girl came towards him

“Excuse me sir. Are you looking for any book.??”

“Oh..Yeah..I wanted to buy a romantic novel but I am not sure which one is the best.”

“Oh, why don’t you try this one? This is ‘A rose in winter’ . It is a beautiful story of..”

“Ok I will buy it.”

“Oh.? Aren’t you going to read the epilog either..??”

“Actually it’s not for me. It’s for someone else who love reading romantic novels.”

“Hmm...someone special. Girlfriend I assume.”

She walks to the cashier and Kai follows behind, not even denying her assumption. Kai pulls out his wallet to pay for the book when he finds someone entering the store. It was Sehun and Winni and Kai right away hides behind one of the book racks. What are they doing here..?? Kai peaks at them from distance as they roam around, picking different books and giggling. Winni was skimming throw a book while her fringes fell onto her face, blocking her view. She was struggling with her hair when Sehun pulls them back, fixing them with a clip. It was a beautiful bow flower. When Winni looks at him questioningly, he replies.

“Your hair was bothering you and maybe it’s a gift from me.”

She smiles at his cheerful self which didn’t go unnoticed by the one spying at them. They get out of the store buying a couple of books. They buy tickets for a movie, Beauty and the Beast and Kai follows, entering the same theater. He sits behind them, not paying any attentions for the movie while the other two got engrossed into it, munching onto some popcorn. After the movie they went into arcade, played games and finally moved to a more peaceful place, the Olympic park. They sit there on a bench, Winni eating her cotton candy while Sehun, awkwardly trying to wrap his hands around her shoulders. Winni chuckles lightly, sensing his struggle. She pulls his hand down and let them wrap naturally around her.

“Why hesitate, it’s not like we are in some kind of blind date..we are close right.?” She laughs away, punching his bicep lightly. He smiles awkward, but soon laughs along with her. They chat for a long time and sehun finally drive her back to dorm.

“It was fun”

“Yes it was fun. Thanks for accepting my request. I hope that we have many more dates in future.” Sehun says with a smile but Winni, she couldn’t find herself doing it. Sehun was such a good guy. She had lots of fun but it was more like hangout than a date. She felt guilty. She forces a smile onto her lips, and Sehun gets right away. He bids her goodnight, hugging her and running away to his car. She smiles wide as she turns around to enter her dorm when she finds a shadow behind a tree. She starts panicking but breaths out when the shadow walks out, reveling Kai. He was clad in a black turtle neck shirt, black jean and a long black coat, making him look like a grim reaper.

“You are smiling too wide Miss Min. Looks like you had lot of fun today. Hmm..??” he voices out but she stays silent with a furrow on her face. She wasn’t in a mood to see him. Just not now. She continues her way when Kai stops her, holding her wrist with a firm hold.

“What’s do you want.?? I am not in a mood to speak with you.”

Kai scoffs, chuckling sarcastically “You were fine just now, speaking and giggling with Sehun but your mood turned sore when you see me..Ha..??”

“What.??”

“You are really something. Are you going to go on a date with any random guy just like that.??”

“Look, Sehun is not just any random guy. He is friend and I can go with him. But why am I even explaining this to you..??” she swirls around but gets stopped again.

“Didn’t I tell you not to hang out with Sehun.??”

“What is your problem..?? And who are you to decide who I hang out with.?? I have the right to decide. But Why do you care..?? Why do you care if I go out with a random guy?? It’s my wish. Why do you care??”

“because..” Kai breaths out but the word get stuck in his throat. He has no word to answer for that.

“Why.?? You don’t have an answer.??”

“Be..because I am your friend.”

“Friend..?? haa.. I don’t need a friend like you. Sehun is far better that you.”

That pinched his heart, pissing him off. Did she just say that she doesn’t need him.

“ Khere, Ok fine, you don’t need me right.?? Then I will get lost. I was a stranger, now I will become a stranger. What was I even thinking buying you this.??” He throws the book he bought at the store, marching away to his car and disappearing in the dark.

Winni crouches down and pick up the book into her hands, dusting it off with a silent sorry while letting her tears run down her pale cheeks.

Kai drives his Lykens hyper sport in full speed, letting out his frustration. He was mad, so damn mad. He dials a number in his car phone, waiting for the other end to pick up.

“Come to the basket ball ground, Now.”

Sehun walks in his track suit and sports shoes into the basketball grounds when a ball was thrown at him. Looking up he sees Kai, standing there furiously staring at him. Sehun gets him immediately. Kai have a habit of playing aggressively whenever he is so damn aggravated. They soon start and Kai plays with lot of belligerence. But Sehun didn’t let go, he plays with same aggressiveness, beating Kai and winning against him. They finally settle down, with a can of beer, sitting on his car bonnet, looking up at the starry sky.

“It’s been so long.”

“Well, you were so busy with someone.”

“Dude, why are you being all sappy.?? I know you don’t like her but still, how can you do this to your best friend.?? You were ignoring me for so long. I am done with this man. You can’t leave me just because I like her.”

“What.??”

“What what.??”

“What did you just say..??”

“That you have been ignoring me for too long.??”

“No after that.”

“That I like her.??”

“You..like her.??”

“Oops, did I just say that.?? Then there is nothing else to hide anymore. Yes. I like Winni. I don’t know since when but I just want to make her my girl friend.”

“You.. serious..??”

“Of course I am. She is not like my ex girlfriends. She is so different. We actually went on a date today. It was the best time I ever spent. We are so close now and I think I should properly ask her out.”

“What.??”

“Hmm.. I am going to ask her out very very soon. I bet on it.”

A buzzing sound from Sehun’s pocket made their conversation halt. He answers the call, before hurriedly ending it.

“Ok dude I was supposed to pick my mom up from the emergency department. She is so damn angry right now. I will see you soon then.”

Saying that Sehun vanishes into his car, driving away leaving behind Kai with his uneasy feeling.
