The reveling of their relationship made the whole school shook, specially his friends. Baek was the one who was madder at his best friend, like hell, he didn’t tell his secret relationship and he judged his relationship with Hera..??? Chan did get bashed at first, but they were happy by the end that their friend had finally found his other half. Winni smiles bittersweet as she stares at Kai laughing away, making fun of Chanyeol and his wife. She sighs, wondering that maybe she should just move on from her unrequited love. She snaps out when Sehun hugs her side wise and drag her for a club meeting. Winni knew it, she knew it that Sehun is interested in her. When they first meet, he was such a bully, but everything changed when he came bragging into her coffee shop asking her to be his tutor. He became so friendly and Winni couldn’t deny that she liked this side of him more. He became more studious and they started to spend more time together. But there was a thing, even though she has been with him the whole time, her tiny crush for Kai never left her. Maybe it’s time to really let go.

D.O wasn’t in his normal self either. He like Sana, that’s a fact that he realized recently. She is the only one who was always there for him, in his lowest times and the one there for him, to share his deepest secrets. But he knew it that she could never be his. So instead of being close to her and break his heart, he decided to run away. Run away from the entire heart ache. He starts ignoring her, she didn’t mind at first but when he starts skipping classes, she got anxious. She waited but when he went missing for more than a week, she decided to knock on his door one fine weekend. He opens the door to find her standing there and he scowls. He wasn’t ready to meet her yet. She just pushes him and walks in, standing there folding her hands and throwing him a serious look.

“What’s wrong with you.?? You have been ignoring me for so long. You don’t picking up my calls. You are not even coming to classes any more. What happened ..??”

“Are you done.??It my wish if I have to be with you or not. It’s my wish if I should ignore your calls or not. And it’s my wish if I want to come to classes or not. You are no one to tell me what to do and what not to do. So..if it’s what you came for, you can get out now.”

“What..??” he didn’t give her anymore time as her dragged her out of his house, closing the door on her face. Did he just kick her out.??

Sana goes back home but her mind was somewhere else. What’s wrong with D.O. ? The one she saw just now is not the one she knows. She lies back on her fluffy bed, but sleep doesn’t come. It was so irritated by that situation that she has to get answer and that to right now.

D.O walks into his kitchen and pulls out a water bottle, gulping it down. He hears the sound of his door getting unlocked and finds Sana, standing in front of him in her pink panther PJ’s. He chokes.

“How did you get here..??”

“By car.”

“That’s not what I was referring to. How did you get inside my house.??I clearly remember locking it.”

“If you have a password as dumb as 1234 anyone can brag in.”

He sighs. This girl is not going to listen to him that easy. He holds her hands, taking her to his couch and makes her sit. He sits beside, facing her with enough space between them so his heart is in his control.

“What is it that made you come at this late at night..??”

“I need answers.”

“What answers?”

“Answers for the questions I asked you. What’s wrong with you..?? Did something happen..?? Did your dad do something again..?? Did I do something wrong..?? Just tell me. I can’t even sleep. You know I am there for you.”

“That, don’t say that. I can’t depend on you. I don’t want you to be there for me. I can’t talk to you anymore, it’s not that I am mad at you. it’s just when I talk to you, I realize how much I love you.”

“What..??”

“Because I love you goddamnit.” He pounces ahead, locking Sana between him and the couch, looking intensely into her eyes. He didn’t know where that expression came from. He loves her..?? Whatever. He will just let his heart think now. He instantly moves away from her, going into his room and banging his door shut.

Sana sits there, still dumbfounded with his outburst. She walks out in daze, and get into a taxi, forgetting that she came by her car. She walks into her house, not caring the maids who were staring weirdly at her. She finally gets back into her comfortable bed, wrapping the sheets and smiles. Do Kyungsoo love her and she likes it.

She wakes up to a new morning, with a wide smile on her face. She gets down to the dining room, cheerfully greeting everyone. She hugs everyone, giving them a kiss on cheek and finally bends down to kiss Hera’s belly, where her two nieces and a nephew are. Baek at a point asked her if she had gone mad, but instead of hitting him on head, she laughed it away and he was sure, his sister had really got mad. Sana was jumping around the house when she gets a call from D.O. she holds her breath as she answers his call.

“Can you come and meet me at Namsan tower, 6 PM to night.”

“Hmm.” The hell, did she go dumb or what..??

“Meet you later then” he ends the call and that’s when she finally breaths. Gosh that was hard. But she gets back to her good mood right away. She plays loud music in her room, dancing her heart’s content as she get ready to meet D.O. Hera knocks onto her door and immediately gets down to help her sister in law. They sit down together and Hera holds Sana’s hands with a found smile on her face.

“You are in a really good mood today aren’t you..?? What’s that that is making you go crazy..??”

“Actually..”

“Don’t tell me that Kai finally proposed to you.” and that’s when everything comes crushing down to her. She is dating Kai. She listens as her sister in law continues blabbing about how their mom had told her about hers and Kai’s relationship. How glad that she found a right one for her and how Kai’s family want her to be their future daughter in law and all. She listens in daze, her head spinning making her feel like throwing up.

“Sana, tell me. Did Kai propose to you..??”

“Unn..Unni, I have to go somewhere. Can I..can I talk to you later..??”

“Oh sure.”

Sana gets of the lift reaching the view point of the Namsan tower. She doesn’t know how she even got there all fine. The place was fairly crowded but she can easily see D.O, standing at the end of the view point, staring into the stray sky. She stands beside him, silently giving him a sign of her presence.

“What did you call me for.??”

“Forget everything I said yesterday.”

“Why should I.??”

“Ha..??” D.O was dumbfounded. That wasn’t the answer he expected.

“Why should I forget everything..?? Will that change the way you feel for me..?? No right. And why should I..?? When you made me feel the same for you and now??..you want me forget about it..?? WHY..???”

There was a dramatic pregnant pause. The night breeze blowing throw, making her shiver but she refused to let go of her stares, piercing deep into his soul. The time stopped letting D.O to sink in the words that just spilled out of her lips. Sana loves him. Byun Sana loves him. And yes she just said that. Sana fell for him and she doesn’t know when but she knows why. Because she can be her, when she is with him. Yes, her parents love her and she show them her true self, but the society around her wanted someone more refined. She always wished for it, that her future half should be someone she could show her true self, just Sana, not the ty rich girl she acts to be. But she soon lost the hope, but then came D.O, pulling her out of her mask, making her dream come true. But then, it just can’t happen, they cant happen. She can’t pretend that other people don’t exist because deep down she know it wasn’t supposed to end like this, at list that what society think.

“Because you know, that we can never be together.” And he knows it too.

“I am a no body Sana. Yes I am rich, but you know who I really am. And Kai, he is my best friend. He might look rude, but you too know it, he is really a good guy. Moreover, his parents already treat you like their daughter in law. Your fate is decided. We are no one to change it.”

“You are not even going to try.??” She breaths out, barely audible.

“What’s the use when you know the result.??” He chuckles bitterly. He was someone who never gives up, but what to do.?? Love makes you do that thing that you have never done.

“I know it’s hard, but that’s what good for us, good for everyone.” He smiles, but you can see the struggle behind his eyes while spilling those words. He looks up at the peaceful sky, trying to hold back his tears.

“Say, want to lock a lock, so that we can maybe end up together in our next life..?? hmm?? It will make it easier.”

She didn’t know why but she nodded right away, silently laughing at her heart for being so feeble.

They buy a lock and write D.O and Sana, in the middle of the heart and lock it, high up the pole.

“Tell me when you are ready.” Saying that he walks away as Sana stares, until his figure disappears from her sight. She shifts her gaze back to the lock, finally letting her tears loose.
