Real and not Pretend : Book 1 — The GenesisShe throws herself straight towards the warmth and coldness of her bed before she finally let out a scream directly to the pillow. There's nothing much painful than what she just heard earlier.
Pathetic, that's what she is. Unrequited, that's what her love is going to and will always be towards the woman she could never reach, towards the woman she'll always look from afar. Suffocating, that's what it is right now.
She rolls over and finally let out a frustrated sigh whilst looking at the ceiling. Darkness surrounds her and the light reflection coming from the sidewalk post is the only one that somehow brought brightness inside her room.
The buzz of her air conditioner becomes the silence breaker and she thanked whoever made it like that, it beats the sadness her heart, mind and soul are screaming. It beats the loneliness and pity she's experiencing.
Lisa stared at the clock, 10:19PM, it says. She decided to turn her laptop on and clicks the app as soon as it booted properly thinking her bestfriend is probably home.
1... 2...
"Hey, Lisa!" A cheerful Thai greeting greets her, no one's on screen though.
"Hi, where are you though?" she asks, tying her hair in a messy bun.
"Wait, I just got home and I'm kinda.. sorta.. ." a head peeks at the left side corner of her screen which made her laugh.
"I am so sorry."
"Nah it's fine." he says and finally emerges, fully clothed. "Sup?"
She smiles. "I'm good, you?"
"I am too but I doubt that you're good. Spill." he says, grabbing a pack of cookies.
There goes the sigh. "Same old. Same old. Worse, she's going to be in a relationship soon."
He only nods, allowing her to continue. "And it . I mean, I know all this time I don't stand a chance and it will always be unrequited. I am so stupid for letting it grow more than just a crush. I am so stupid for even feeling this."
He stops eating. "Now, now, now. It may be unrequited but never call yourself stupid. You can't just tell yourself to stop feeling it, can you? You see her everyday."
"Yes but I should've tried harder. Damn it. How can that crush grew when we never even had a decent talk?"
