Real and not Pretend : Book 1 — The GenesisProbably her nth time sighing, she doesn't really count not that she hates numbers but she just could no longer keep track especially when her thoughts are nowhere near she currently is.
"Okay that's it." A thump of a pen. "What's up with you?"
No answer, only a sigh and eyes staring at the empty field.
"Lisa."
"..."
"Yo! Lalisa Manoban!"
The shout caught her off guard. "Jesus Christ, unnie! That scared the out of me!"
"Now you suddenly became religious but the cuss at the end was the downfall. Have some respect to Chaeng here."
A head rose up upon hearing her name. "Huh?"
Jisoo dismissed the younger with a head shake. "Seriously, Lisa. We're here to get this project done not to listen to your sigh. What's up with you?"
Chaeng or known as Chaeyoung stares while Jisoo's annoyed frown and gaze are directed towards her.
Should she tell them? Probably not, not just yet. She would never dare telling anyone about it considering the sad fact that the possibility of her losing her friends is at risk. She'd rather keep it and suffer alone. She'll keep the act for as long as she could.
"Nothing really. Just had a lot of things in mind. Not to mention that I practically screwed up that Physics exam earlier. Were you aware that we'd have a test though?" she asks Chaeyoung and receives a nod from the in question.
"Mrs. Smith mentioned about it yesterday. Basing on your reaction, you weren't listening?"
She had to face palm, literally. How would she remember when she's not even paying attention at all? She'd been really too occupied with a lot of things lately.
"That's a no then. You sure you're okay?" Chaeyoung asked, eyes speak nothing but worries and concerns.
"Yeah I am." she smiles, grateful to have such friend and this is the reason why she refrains to tell them the truth. She doesn't want that worry and concern be replaced with disgust and rejection. The thought made her sad and it probably shows upon her features because Chaeyoung is looking more worried than earlier. She tries her best to smile and happily dismiss their question. "Sorry to worry both of you. I am totally fine."
