Baekhyun’s POV

“Sharing memories about that one time we almost made it but ended up breaking each other’s hearts.”

I was already standing in front of Irene’s class and as I heard what she read, I knew it was not the right time to apologize. I felt bad, I really do. Deep down I knew that there were other ways for me to approach Chanyeol but I was blinded. I peeked through the door and Irene was just sitting down silently beside her best friend, Sehun.

As I was observing how Irene was doing, I could hear a female student’s voice calling my name. I turned my head to the back and saw a girl from F class who just got back from the toilet. As I turned my head back, I could see everyone inside the class including Irene noticed that I was standing in front of their class door.

“Do you need anything, Baekhyun?” The teacher asked.

Everyone inside the class started to whisper to each other and I could see Irene rolled her eyes and looked away. She was annoyed, she was hurt.

“N-No,Sir. I was just passing by.”

The teacher nodded and smiled. I bowed my head and made my way back to my class. As I was walking along the hallway, I felt ashamed.

“Why did I do that!” I exclaimed while I slapped myself to gather my sanity and senses back.

I knew I'd done something pretty awful when I had to work so hard to justify it. The more demanding the reparations my subconscious required the worse I knew it was. The guilt sat on both my chest and inside my brain. What I had done that I could not un-do.

“Baekhyun.”

I stopped my steps as I heard a familiar voice calling out for my name. I looked back and Irene was standing a few meters away from me.

“Irene?” I looked at her in disbelief.

She didn’t give an answer, instead, she walked away heading to the storage room. Without wasting another minute, I knew I had to catch her footsteps. I walked right behind her following her to the storage room.
