“What? You invited Dr. Han to eat dinner with you?”
Junsu exclaimed with his both eyes widened in shock as well as yoochun who was sitting next to him at the sofa, inside jaejoong’s office. Jaejoong was standing in front of the glass window, having the perfect view of the Han River. He was holding a goblet of blood, drinking it like it was just a simply black coffee that you can buy in any coffee shop out there.
“Eat with you?” Yoochun unbelievably smirked. “Yah, when did you learn to eat human food? You really gone insane huh?”
“You can say that.” He turned and face them, placing the goblet his holding on the top of his desk. “After what happen last night, i can’t just let her go. I mean, i’m sure she’s now the runners new target. They will kill her.”
Yoochun wet his bottom lip and release a sigh…
“So what if they kill her? Haven’t you forgot that you’ve almost killed her too. Actually twice already, if we’re not that quick enough to take her away from you last night i’m sure, she had died in your own hands.” Yoochun paused before walking close to jaejoong and tap his shoulder. “Look jaejoong like what you said before, Dr. Han has the mark of the last deity and that’s only mean one thing you know that.”
Putting his both hands on his pocket, jaejoong start to have thoughts about what yoochun had said and he knew in some point that he was right. The only problem was, him. He don’t know why or how to explain the tingly feeling inside him that’s making it hard for him to stay away from her.
“Hyung, do you like Dr. Han?” Junsu suddenly uttered making jaejoong look at him. “Its like you’re not just interested about her but actually like her, weren’t you?”
Clearing his throat, he lowered his head in confusion as he walk towards his desk, speechless. He stared at his reflection from the goblet, trying to process everything…
“So that’s the reason. You like her?” Yoochun added.
“I don’t know.” Jaejoong answered not looking at them. “The only thing i know is, i want to protect her no matter what. Is that even a sin? I know, i get you. She’s the last deity and a threat for me, for us. And i’am as well to her, but that won’t make me stop from staying beside her. I’m sorry.”
By that jaejoong left from his office, leaving junsu and yoochun a bit dumbfounded before a soft chuckle was suddenly echoed inside…
“I think, we can’t do anything more but just let jaejoong-hyung. He already made his decision and we both know that, it won’t change anymore.” Junsu sit back at the sofa, resting his feet on the top of the center table.
“Yea.” Yoochun nodded as he agrees. “He don’t just surpassed the late king. He also fell in love to a deity just like his father.”
