Chapter 13
The Double D DilemmaAt the Christmas dinner get-together with the Lahlings, a year ago.
“I look forward to these dinners every. Single. Year! It’s the only time I get to drink expensive champagne and mingle with the IN crowd.” Tara nudges Sydney.
The restaurant was located in the affluent neighbourhood of Hard Carry Grove where residents in the area were well-groomed families who sent their children to private schools with Olympic sized swimming pools. She had a turquoise bobble necklace sitting on her well-rounded chest showing off the molded sweetheart cut. Sydney, already seated and browsing the menu, looked ravishingly gorgeous in a white chiffon slip dress with mini beaded pearls. Her dress made her sparkle under the single dimmed spotlight, facing the table where they sat. Her hair was unusually up in chignon, which accentuated her soft milky neckline.
