Jongin decided that he really didn’t like the concept of double dates. It was kind of awkward. And for some reason, Minseok’s cat-like eyes kept irritating him. Krystal and Chaeyeon were hitting it off just fine, laughing, and Jongin saw Minseok’s fingers creeping down Chaeyeon’s arm before he folded her hand in hers.
And for some reason, Minseok looked up, eyes meeting Jongin’s, and Minseok smiled. Jongin had no idea what Minseok and Chaeyeon were doing if she had made it clear that she just wanted to be friends with Minseok. The whole situation, frankly, was confusing.
“Kai?”
“Hm?”
Krystal was blinking back at him, and he murmurs an apology, and she smiled wryly, eyes flickering to Minseok whose shoulders twitch up as if he was going to shrug but he didn’t really mean it.
Chaeyeon noticed that too, eyes filling up with questions but her nose twitches the same way it always did when she was going to let something go.
Jongin downed the rest of his drink, joining the conversation. And everything was fine, until Minseok says the words, “Future wife.”
Was Minseok just playing around with her? Jongin could never tell, and even though Minseok was normally a very nice guy, Jongin had the feeling that he was up to something. But Minseok curled an arm around Chaeyeon’s waist, and she settled in, comfortable with her head on his shoulder.
