Jongin’s stomach was still hurting, but he simply sighed and combed back his hair. This was his first evening off in a very long time, and getting ready for a date had become his own personal form of self-care.
 

“Do I look okay?”

“Yes.” Chaeyeon’s eyes were full of worry. “But do you have to go? You could just sleep some extra, or even run to a doctor’s office.”

“No, I’m going.” Jongin’s voice was firm, and Chaeyeon opened to say something, and then closed it.

“Okay,” She said quietly. “Have fun.”

Jongin left for the cheap hole-in-the-wall place. He was actually surprised that she suggested it, and she responded with a text.

Jennie: I only look expensive
