I have exams today. I am soo scared I’m not gonna do well. Sure I studied but that’s when I have breaks at work. I’m not ready . . .

“Everyone, the exam starts now. No talking and I wish all of you luck.” My instructor announced.

“Okay I can do this.” I thought.

*Few days later*

“An F?! Omg this can’t be happening!” I exclaimed.

“What is it Sunny?” Choi Mai Lee asked.

“I failed the exam.” I sighed.

“Oh, me too.” Mai Lee admitted.

“Really?”

“Mhmm, but look on the bright side. We get to retake it.”

“Oh okay, that’s good then.”

“Yeah, hey I’ve noticed you’ve been down lately. Is there something bothering you?”

Yes

“No. Just a little tired that’s all.” I lied.

“Oh, well if you need a friend to talk to. You can always come to me.”

“Thanks.” I smiled slightly. Mai Lee is such a sweet girl and so nice. It would be nice to have a friend here. Ohh WORK! I’m gonna be late again!

“Just in time.” My manager smiled.

“Really? Yes!”

“Kah go. Get to work.”

“Annyeonghaseyo. Je ireumeun Eunsun imnida and I’ll be serving you this evening. Are you ready to order?” I asked the costumers.

“It’s about time! We waited over 30 minutes!” The costumer shouted at me. Okay seriously not in the mood for this. I put on my best sympathetic face.

“I’m sorry, we’re a little short on employees this evening.”

“Can we just get the stir fry?”

“Coming right up.” Ugh, first exams now a rude costumer? Not my day tod- OW!

“Omo, I’m so sorry.” The lady apologized. Ackk! I’m soaking wet!

“It’s okay.” I lied.

“Sunny what happened?” My manager asked.

“Excuse me, here’s your food.”

“Finally.” The rude costumer said in a snippy tone. Talk to me like that again and I will, not even go there. Ugh can’t wait till work’s over.

“Annyeong! Come again.” My manager waved to the costumers.

“Eunsun- ah can I talk to you?”

“Bwoh? What is it?”

“I’m really sorry, but I’m going to have to let you go.”

“Pardon me?” Please don’t say it again.

“I’m letting you go.”

“Weh!” I raised my voice.

“I just think it would be best. You work late hours and it’s not good when you’re going to school.”

“But I need this job! What about my family in Seoul!?”

“You’ll get your paycheck for the rest of the month then get a part time job. That way it doesn’t conflict with school as much. I’m sorry Sunny.” He apologized. You should be sorry! As I got into my car tears started to stream down my cheeks. I was so upset and angry I just wanna scream and shout. I failed my exam, lost my job . . .what else could go wrong?

*tires screech*

CRASH!!
