Important Final Note (PLEASE READ - New fics)
Gambling With DeathAnd with this, the edited version of GWD is done. The first time I wrote this, I spent exactly 6 months working on this story, which blows my mind because I wrote a 80k(ish) fic within 6 months, and I've written 110k words for Distant Torment in like a year, so clearly, my writing speed has decreased LOL (I blame school). Writing a murder mystery isn't easy when you have to make sure that you're not leaving any evidence out and the motives make sense haha. I remember that it was really dificult writing the last few chapters because it was a strange feeling wrapping this up and just...ending it. Now, after editing it, I feel like my writing has improved quite a bit, and I wish I had planned more with this story because it really was a good murder mystery at it's core, but it was also super inspired by Castle and Psych, which is pretty obvious.
The original version was 74,069 words (with the two bonus chapters:78,932), and after editing, it is over 81,000 words (I...did not calculate the new total lol)
Okay so, the titles of each chapters. That was also a struggle because there's only so many things that flowers can represent. I'm pretty sure at one point like 5 or 6 chapter titles were flowers representing danger because the entire time Hanxing and the gang were in danger tbh xD At least I only killed off only one character that was relevant to the plot :D
A Single Daffodil - New beginnings; misfortune
King Protea - Transformation, signifies daring and resourcefulness
A Bed of Tulips - Fame
Delphinium - Ardent attachment
An Orange Rose - Passion, energy
Rosebay - Danger
