Iris’s POV

After Mia and I said bye to Onew and Minho, we hurried into the apartment. Standing in front of the hallway was Daddy.

“Hmmm, the boy stood to his word…. *looking at his watch* … 10:45pm…. Mia, what happened?” Daddy said as he began to pat me down for anything out of the ordinary.

“Hello to you too Daddy,” I sarcastically said.

“Hey Iris. So Mia, what happened?” Daddy eagerly asked.

“Nothing really. He was a gentleman and took Iris to that restaurant and it was nice,” Mia said with approval.

“See Daddy, I told you; he is a nice man,” I said.

“Correction, he is a boy. B-O-Y,” Daddy said.

“Okay, fine. Just trust me with him,” I said.

“Okay, okay, I’ll trust you,” Daddy said, winking to Mia.

“Daddy, we’re going to sleep now. Right, Mia?” I said.

“Yeah, *fakes yawn*. Tired,” Mia said as I pushed her towards my room.

I shoved her on the bed and closed the door.

“Anxious much?” Mia sarcastically said.

“Yes, I am. What happened back there?” I quickly asked.

Mia had a small smile on her face.

“Nothing… just Minho and I kissing,” Mia squealed.

“Yeah, I DEFINITELY, got that part. Before you couldn’t look at him because you were so embarrassed, and now you guys are each other’s face,” I laughed.

“Well, after I finished that delicious red velvet cake – oh thank you for that – I decided to leave you guys alone. So when I was walking back, I passed a basketball court and I saw Minho, playing by himself. Then, he called me over aaaannndd after that we restarted the game that we were playing before, and when I looked over my shoulder he was staring at me andthenhewalkedoverandkissedme,” Mia narrated.

“I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT. Onew and I were planning to set you guys on a date anyways. Finally Minho realized that he liked you,” I said.

“I still can’t believe that he does,” Mia said as she began to squeal into my pillow.

“Awww my little Mia has a boyfriend now,”

Mia stopped squealing and sat up.

“He didn’t ask me to be his girlfriend…. yet.”

“What? That doesn’t make any sense. You guys were practically making out –“

“We weren’t making out, okay?” Mia retorted.

“Anyways, you guys were snogging in the hallway and he didn’t ask you out?”

“He said that he’ll ask me tomorrow… I think he’s planning something.”

“He better.”                                                                                                                                            

The Next Day

Mia’s POV

Iris and I walked into the classroom and sat down at our seats. I turned to Minho and smiled at him. He gave me this cold look and turned his chair away. Before I could say something to him, Ms. Choi came in and began the lesson.

What the hell just happened?!

All throughout the classes, Minho kept ignoring me. He would either scoot his chair away or rip up my notes that I passed to him. I tried to turn him to look at me, but he never did. During break, I got up to talk to him. I tapped on his shoulder and he immediately got up and walked out of the classroom. I followed him down and out of the school until he stopped at the middle of the basketball court. Being fed up, I grabbed his shoulder and turned him around.

“Minho, what the he-“

Next thing I knew, his lips were on mine. I immediately forgot what I was angry about and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer. He stepped back, breaking the kiss and held my hand.

“What was that?” I asked.

“I’m so sorry. I couldn’t look at you all day….. because I knew if I did, I’d feel this urge to kiss you crazy,” Minho chuckled.

“And that’s why you ignored me?” I laughed.

“Yes and I didn’t want to talk to you until I… asked you to be my girlfriend. I had this corny basketball poem relating to you, but it didn’t work out so well and I knew you would laugh at me and …. *sigh* Mia, will you be my girlfriend?” Minho hesitantly asked.

“Yes!” I said as I jumped and hugged him.

Meanwhile…

Iris’s POV

I saw Mia rush out after Minho.

Maybe this is his plan to ask her out now.. hehehe

“I have a surprise for you after school,” Onew began.

“Oh, really? What is it?” I asked.

“It’s a surprise. I can’t tell you,” Onew laughed.

“Please,” I pouted.

“Iris, that’s not going to work this time. “ Onew got up.

“I’ll be right back. I’m going to go to the bathroom real quick,” Onew said.

“Okay, I’ll be right here,” I replied.

After Onew left, I decided to occupy myself with some problems from the math homework.

1.    (d/dx) sin(2x⁵)cos(3x) - csc(x)  = ?

What the heck is this? This does not make any sense… ughh

“Iris, I need to speak with you now,” I look up and see Jonghyun hovering over my desk.

“Okay..” I replied then Jonghyun grabbed my wrist and dragged me out of the classroom in to an empty hallway.

“What is wrong with you Jonghyun?” I asked while rubbing my wrist.

“Why do you like Onew?”

“Excuse me?”

“You know the only reason he’s with you is because of a bet.”

A bet?

“A bet?”

“After he found out that I like you, he wanted to take you away from me, so he agreed to a bet of whoever kissed you first would date you,”

“What? Onew would never do that. You’re lying,” I said as I turned to walk away.

“If you don’t believe me, ask him. I’ve known Onew the longest to know what he’s really like. Don’t let his innocent face fool you. Oh by the way, I have a feeling that he’s going to blame the whole thing on me and say it’s my fault. Don’t believe him,” Jonghyun said then walked away.

I will ask him. Onew will never lie to me.
