Serendipity
Attachment"Although we can’t go back exactly to the way we were back then, Like the spring that comes after winter melts away, you just have to come to me."
(Byun Ji Seob - Back to Me)
Chapter 14: Serendipity
"It's okay."
My heart nearly stops when I hear that voice. There's only one exact person with that voice.
And I'm looking at that person now.
His eyes is the mixture of shock and amazed, like he didn't expect to meet me here.
Then he gives me his usual warm smile, "Hi, Ahreum."
That smile succesfully sends me a painful yearning and my guilt for him.
"Hi. Didn't expect to meet you here." I replied.
"Me neither."
"Wait, did you two know each other?" Luna asked with amazed face.
"Luna, I think our customer right there need your help." I said.
She sighed, "Yes chef."
"Sorry." I smiled apologetically when Luna left.
"That's okay, Ahreum." He smiled reassuringly.
"So, what brings you here? Work?"
He shakes his head, "No, I was just travelling."
"Ah, I see."
An uncomfortable silent sit between us. I dont know whether it's because both of us didn't have anything to say or maybe there's too much that we want to say but we choose to keep it.
"I'd like to stay and chat but my staffs need me." I pointed at the kitchen.
"Ah right, you're the head chef now. The food is very delicious by the way." His eyes are smiling sincerely when he said this.
I blushed when I hear that compliment. It just feels different coming from him.
"Thanks, I'll leave then. Enjoy the food."
I just walked a few steps from him when I hear him calling my name.
"Ahreum-ah."
A rush of memories surges to my mind when I hear him calling my name. Just one call from him and I feel like I was back to three years ago. When everything's fine at the beginning.
"Yeah?"
"Let's hang out sometimes. After all, it's been a while since we last met." His eyes got a little bit steely when he said the last part, like the words hurt him when he said it.
I'm trying to find an excuse, "Ah well.."
"Come on. I'll be back to Korea this Sunday."His gaze falls at me with expectation and then all of my excuses is disappear.
Damn, he still has this effect on me.
"Okay, then. Let's catch up on Saturday." I defeated.
He beamed at me, "Good. Leave me your address and number so I can pick you up."
I tell him my address and number, then I see him saving it on his phone.
"I'm looking forward for this Saturday." He looks at me with the way that only Park Bogum can do.
As if my heart is not racing enough.

Bogum takes a long deep breath when he walks out of Blue Moon.
He didn't expect to meet her here because he didn't have any information about her after they broke up.
When he decides to go on vacation in London, a part of him is hoping that he will meet her.
It turns out that his wish is coming true.
I found you. He smiled to himself while clutching his phone.
Seems like fate wants me to meet you again.

Saturday, 10 a.m.
"Good morning. Coffee?" I offered to her.
"Why do you always pick an early time to meet?" She yawned and I laugh.
"Because today is the only day that we have so we need to start early. Now, let's go." I opened the door for her.
She sits and sips her coffee.
