“Push harder” The doctor urged.

“Ahhh!” Minhee screamed and squeezed Donghae’s hand tightly as she continued to push and push with all her might. She could’ve sworn that the only thing she did was just pushing, pushing, and pushing for the past hourS but there was still no sign of the baby’s head coming out.

“Oppa, I can’t do this…” she said breathlessly, getting tired. Her tight grip on Donghae’s hand loosened. It was exhausting, painful and draining. Her entire body was tired and full of sweat. Her hair was a mess, her breathing ragged and harsh.

Donghae firmly yet softly held her hand that was loosening its grip on his and wouldn’t stop saying encouraging words to her. “Yes you can, you’re amazing, you can do this, yeobo. You can,” Donghae said. He placed a tender kiss on her forehead and kept telling her to push.

Minhee was pushing as hard as she could. She continued clutching his husband’s hand tight while Donghae kept enduring the pain in his hand, knowing that the pain he felt was nothing compared to the pain his wife was having right then.

“That’s it, yeobo. You’re doing great” Donghae whispered in her ear comfortingly. “A few more pushes and our babies will be coming out soon.”

“Minhee sshi, you’re almost there,” the doctor said. “Now push.”

Minhee turned to look at Donghae briefly. He, in response, tenderly squeezed her hand, silently assuring her that everything would be alright. She looked ahead back and pushed again. “Ahhh!”

Not long after that, a loud crying was heard throughout the entire room, causing the couple’s hearts filled with bless and happiness.

“It’s a boy!” The doctor announced and handed their newborn son to the nurses to clean up.

“Hear that? Our baby is a boy, yeobo. Our baby is a boy,” Donghae said happily and softly pecked Minhee’s lips. Minhee weakly smiled in reply. She was happy and relieved that one of the babies had come out. Now one more to go.

“The second one is coming. Please keep pushing, Minhee sshi.” The doctor said.

“Come on, yeobo. One more. I know you can do it,” Donghae said, kissing her hand. “If it gets too painful, just grip my hand.”

With that, Minhee gathered all of her strength and pushed. Small groans continuously escaped her lips as she kept pushing while squeezing Donghae’s hand. Meanwhile, Donghae never stopped whispering encouraging words into her ear.

“I can see the head already,” the doctor said. “One more push and it should be the hardest one.”

Minhee took a deep breath and closed her eyes tight as she tried to push as hard as she could. Then another beautiful crying resonated across the room.

“Congratulations, Minhee sshi, Donghae sshi! It’s a girl!” The doctor beamed while the couple had their eyes sparkle in happiness upon hearing that. Their twins were boy and girl. Not boys or girls like what they had expected it to be – not that they were not happy with that. In fact, they felt like the happiest people on Earth at the moment.

“You did it, yeobo! You did it! Our babies are born!” Donghae said in a cheerful tone. Happiness and blissfulness written all over his face and Minhee couldn’t help but smile witnessing it.

“The babies are being cleaned by the nurses now. They’ll be here soon” The doctor informed. “By the way, have you two got their names yet?”

“Neh. The boy is Lee Haemin and the girl is Lee Heemin” Donghae said.

“They’re beautiful names” the doctor smiled. “Well, they’re in perfect health and have good sizes for newborn twins. I’ll let you guys have some time alone while waiting for the babies to come back. I’ll go fill out some papers.”

The couple thanked the doctor as the doctor left the room. After that, Donghae had his attention back on his exhausted wife. His eyes softened as his hand caringly wiped her sweat off her face. “You’re tired, yeobo. You should sleep,” he said softly.

Minhee shook her head. “I wanna see our babies first.”

After several minutes, which seemed forever to the couple, two nurses came into the room with the twins in their arms. They handed the twins, which had been bundled up in towels like spring rolls, to the couple.

“This is a baby boy.” A nurse, who was holding a baby boy, handed him to Donghae.

“And this is a baby girl,” another nurse handed the said baby to Minhee.

The couple thanked the nurses before they left the room to give the couple some alone time with their newborn twins.

“Oh my god, they’re so beautiful!” they cooed in unison with amazement and then looked at each other with their teary eyes. After nine months and six long hours of labour, their babies were finally brought into this world and now the twins were in their arms, their eyes were blinking up cutely looking at the parent who was holding them.

They had imagined the time where they would see and hold the twins plenty of times before, but words couldn’t explain the feelings they were having now at the fact that the twins were now in their arms, looking as cute as ever. They showered their love to the twins physically for the first time by kissing their tiny foreheads lovingly.

“Why do you give the name Haemin to the boy and Heemin to the girl?” Minhee asked as she tenderly caressed the little black hair of the baby girl, Heemin, she carried.

“Since Hae is a part of my name and Hee is a part of yours, so that’s why Haemin is for boy and Heemin is for girl,” Donghae said, smiling then moved to sit on the bed beside his wife so that she could see the baby he was carrying closely and he could do the same to the other baby.

“Aww~ they both look exactly like you, oppa” Minhee stated, looking at the twins and their father back and forth in awe.

“Really?” Donghae smiled and looked over at the twins back and forth to make sure if what Minhee had said was true.

“Yeah. Just look at their round puppy eyes, their nose, their thin lips; all like you. I’m so jealous” Minhee slightly pouted. She wanted their babies to resemble her too!

Donghae chuckled. “Don’t be jealous. I’m sure our next twins are going to resemble you” he flashed her his cheeky smile. But then he added, “Or maybe triplet”

His words made Minhee look at him with wide eyes. “Don’t ever dream about that,” she scrunched up her nose at him and Donghae laughed in amusement. He really loved to tease his wife.

After a few while staring down at the already-sleeping babies they were holding, they exchanged babies. Now Donghae was holding Heemin meanwhile Minhee was holding Haemin. They smiled watching the twins peacefully sleeping and seemed like the smiles of theirs were going to be permanent on their faces forever and ever.

“Thank you, yeobo, for giving me two of the greatest gifts in the world. Thank you so much” Donghae said, smiling gratefully to his beloved wife.

Minhee beamed softly. “It’s nothing―”

“No, it’s not nothing. It’s something. In fact, it’s more than something. I witnessed how you were being in pain for hours. I witnessed the pain you felt just now even though I would never feel it. I don’t think ‘thank you’ is enough to express how thankful I am towards you. And I don’t think I could repay what you’ve done to me, towards our children. What I could do to thank you is only to promise you that I’ll take care of you and our children, our family until death does us apart,” Donghae said, his eyes glistening with tears.

Minhee smiled as she blinked back the tears that were threatening to escape her eyes. “You being always by my side, by our children’s side, is more than enough for me. All I need is you. I also want to thank you for taking care of me when I was and wasn’t pregnant, for giving me encouraging words when I was giving birth to our babies just now. I don’t think I could make it without you just now. Thank you so much.”

Donghae smiled at her words then leaned in and captured her lip into a soft kiss. Minhee gladly kissed him back.

“I love you” he mumbled once he pulled away.

“Love you too” she replied. They stared at each other for a while with a smile plastered on their lips. That was until a sudden voice echoed in the room.

“Are you making babies by staring at each other?”

Startled, they both immediately turned at the source of the voice only to witness the boys (who else if it was not Super Junior) were looking at them with a cheeky smile on their faces. They were standing nearby the door. The owner of the voice was obviously Heechul, who was smirking widely at that time.

The couple couldn’t help but turn beet red at Heechul’s words and also at the thought that the boys had witnessed them kissing earlier. Just how the hell did they never notice their presence there before? By the way, Donghae had told by texting them including their families and F(x) about Minhee’s condition when she was labouring earlier.

“Don’t worry. We’ve seen everything.” It was Kangin’s turn to tease and the others refrained themselves from laughing as they now were approaching the couple on the bed.

“Yah, you guys should’ve knocked on the door first.” Donghae grumbled.

“Past is past. Now tell us, boys or girls?” Eunhyuk wiggled his eyebrows in excitement.

“Both.” Minhee and Donghae replied in unison, grinning.

“WHAT?!” they chorused in shock.

“Shhh. The babies are sleeping” Minhee hushed them and their hands automatically flew to their mouths in an instant.

“Opss. Sorry”

“Back to the topic, so you mean, the twins are boy and girl?” Leeteuk asked for confirmation.

“Yes~” the couple chirped.

“Crap! Then what are we going to do with our bet?” Kangin looked at the others hopelessly.

“Seems like there are no winners or losers,” Shindong noted and the rest sighed.

“Aish, why have I never thought about twin boy and girl before? If only I knew this would happen…Aish!” Heechul said in frustration.

“I was all excited to come here and this is happening?” Eunhyuk shook his head in disappointment.

They were all busy being frustrated and all until they didn’t realize that Donghae and Minhee now were looking at them incredulously.

“I can’t believe this. You guys come here because of the bet or the babies?” Donghae spoke.

“The bet,” they said matter-of-factly but then when they realized a frown started to form on Donghae’s face, they quickly said, “Nope! The babies!”

Right after that, the babies cried and that shocked all of them causing them to freeze for a few seconds.

“Aish! You guys are too loud,” Donghae hissed, causing them to feel all guilty. They mouthed ‘sorry’ in response accompanied with a guilty expression on their faces. Donghae glanced annoyedly at them as he softly hushed Heemin that he carried then gently rocked her side by side to placate them, so did Minhee to Haemin.

After a minute or so, their crying had stopped but a few whimpers still escaped from their small pouty lips.

“Oh my god, they’re so cute,” Ryeowook cooed and approached the bed, taking a close look at the baby Donghae held since Donghae was the nearest to him.

“Even their crying sounded cute” Sungmin added, also approaching the babies. His action was followed by the others. Now every side of the bed was filled with them. And then their compliments about the babies’ cuteness filled the room.

“What are their names?” Leeteuk asked as he now was carrying Heemin and was playing with her chubby cheek.

“Like what I told you yesterday; Haemin and Heemin are their names” Donghae replied.

“What a relief. I thought you’re going to give the name Lee Minho to one of your babies,” Heechul snickered as he played with Haemin’s little fingers. Haemin was carried by Ryeowook at that time.

“Omo, they look exactly like you, Donghae hyung!” Henry chirped.
