ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ✖ DO OR DIE — Fringe Entertainment's new survival showNAME: Jeon Seowoo
BIRTHDATE: 06/11/96
NATIONALITY: South Korean
FACECLAIM: Woozi (Seventeen)
RANK: #3
Jeon Seowoo lives and breathes music. Growing up surrounded by music was it any wonder he'd follow in his dad's footsteps and become a composer and songwriting? Working at PLEDIS, Seowoo has had a hand in much of Seventeen's repertoire.
Watching the boys of Seventeen living the idol life and enjoying every minute of it instilled Seowoo with a desire to try out the stage himself. Do or Die is both Seowoo's first chance and his last at becoming an idol but he doesn't plan on letting it go to waste.
Watch out though, he might look harmless and cute but nothing could be further from the truth. Seowoo's tongue is sharp as a knife and very little escapes his critical eye. Seowoo isn't interested in making friends so you can take your friendship elsewhere. He's here to become an idol, nothing more, nothing less. Handle with care.

NAME: Park Jaemin
BIRTHDATE: 16/10/94
NATIONALITY: South Korean
FACECLAIM: Sungjoo (UNIQ)
RANK: #1
Park Jaemin has been swallowed up and spat out by the industry more times than he could count. Jaemin has trained at YG, Starship, CUBE, LOEN, and RBW, amassing an impressive 9 years of training in total and still he has never had the chance to debut.
Jaemin bet everything he had on becoming an idol, even dropping out of high school so he could focus on his training, but he never got anywhere. You see Jaemin has a very frustrating problem: his voice is so unique it just doesn't mix well with others, but his camera fright makes him a disaster flying solo. And so Jaemin is stuck.
This is Jaemin's last chance at stardom, if he doesn't succeed now he never will. He has no idea what he'll do if he doesn't succeed here, and not succeeded is not something he's willing to think about. For Jaemin it' really is do or die.

NAME: Hong Changui
BIRTHDATE: 25/07/94
NATIONALITY: Lichtensteiner
FACECLAIM: Ken (VIXX)
RANK: #4
Hong Changui grew up in Europe, and that's not a gross generelization. Born in an impossibly small country to a journalist father and a mother in the army, Changui got around.
A drifter at heart, Changui has never been good at sticking to things. He's got approximate knowledge of many things and is moderately skilled in many more things. Singing, dancing, rapping, playing guitar, piano, flute, violin, you name it and he's probably tried it.
His problem is that there's nothing he's truly passionate about, nothing that he has wanted to master. He just drifts from one skill to the next. One place to the next. One occupation to the next. He's never found that one place he belongs, that one thing that he wants to do for the rest of his life.
And now he's here, in Korea, checking out a flyer for Do or Die, wondering if he should give it a go. Try his luck. See how far he gets this time.

NAME: Bae Yeonin
BIRTHDATE: 12/05/88
NATIONALITY: South Korean
FACECLAIM: Dokyun (History)
RANK:
Bae Yeonin and music have always gone together. Yeonin's parents run a music shop, music was always around him, and he always found it easier to understand than people.
There's not a time that Yeonin can remember when he didn't know that he wanted to be a singer when he grew up. It always seemed inevitable. As a lover of both indie and rock music, Yeonin knew what kind of singer he wanted to be too.
Unfortunately every company he joined immediately funneled him into their idol project. NH Media in 2007, Woollim in 2010, even Big Hit in 2011. Yeonin just had one of those voices, a light uncomplicated voice suitable for pop music, but so much for indie stuff. Frustrated with everything Yeonin did his military service and then went to university for composing and started working as a vocal trainer.
Yeonin learned about Do or Die from one of his students. He wrote it off at first, he'd never wanted to be an idol after all, he'd fought so hard against it. Part of him regrets turning those opportunities down though, and so Yeonin decided to go for it this time. Even if he didn't make it, it should give him some exposure and maybe he'd be able to try that solo career after all? At this point he's got nothing to lose.

NAME: Jegal Inshik
BIRTHDATE: 11/10/97
NATIONALITY: South Korean
FACECLAIM: H.O (Madtown)
RANK:
Jegal Inshik is one of the brightest, most energetic vitamins you'll find. Filled to the brim with youthful energy, people often either find him endearing or really annoying.
Inshik learned to love music while busking with his uncle. They'd go out to Hongdae and the day making music. Unfortunately his parents never approved of Inshik's interest in music. When, some years later, Inshik got scouted by JYPE he decided to defy his parents and audition anyway and got into the company.
His time at JYPE didn't work out though. He was briefly considered for the lineup for GOT7 but didn't make the cut as he was deemed to young. He went back to his studies and to busking in Hongdae, but he never gave up on his dream. When Inshik heard about Do or Die he knew that he wanted to give it another shot. And here we are.

NAME: Choi Yoonshik
BIRTHDATE: 14/09/91
NATIONALITY: South Korean
FACECLAIM: Hyunseung
RANK: #2
Choi Yoonshik is a well-known name in Korea, but not for the right reasons. Once a rising star, Yoonshik never got past his debut as scandal after scandal put his career on a permanent hold.
The facts were this: Yoonshik had been dating up and coming actress Park Yoonmi at the time. The relationship did not survive the public eye and afterwards Yoonshik was plagued with domestic abuse rumours and vitriol from Yoonmi's over-protective fans. And that was the end of that.
The two have since started dating again and tried so hard to keep things a secret, but of course that is nigh impossible with Dispatch in existence. Now Yoonshik just wants to clear his name and maybe put on a good performance while he's at it. Yoonshik is in the business of making Korea love him again, and hopefully this program is all he needs.

RANK:
Song Haneul is a familiar name in the industry. Once the visual of popular boy group Pandora, he's done the whole idol shebang before.
When Pandora disbanded in 2013 Haneul thought he was done with being an idol and moved on into acting. But Haneul found that he missed the stage, the fans, the whole crazy ride that comes with being a popular idol. So why the hell not give it another shot?
But this time Haneul is more than just a visual. Over the years he has worked hard on his singing and his dancing and he is now confident that he can prove himself worthy of being a respectable vocalist. Now if only people would stop focusing on his pretty face and just listen to him.

NAME: Jang Geomi
BIRTHDATE: 24/03/97
NATIONALITY: South Korean
FACECLAIM: Chanhyuk (AkMu)
RANK:
Jang Geomi is no stranger to survival shows, a few years ago he was one of the contestants on Mix and Match
Despite being more skilled than any of the other competitors in Mix and Match, Geomi had the disadvantage of the face he was born with. He got a lot of flack on the show for being ugly, for not having the idol look, and ultimately that's what got him eliminated.
But Geomi doesn't let that get him down, nor did he give ear to the bullying he received after that. He loves singing, he loves the stage, he loves the way he looks, and he's not someone to lay around defeated.
When word about Do or Die reached him Geomi knew that he was just going to try again. This is his dream and he's not going to let something as shallow as his looks get in the way of it. This time Jang Geomi is here to stay.
