FlashlightI didn't think much of it before but after seeing him like that, it made me realized how much I’ve gotten used to having him around. And it may be hard to believe, but it actually feel empty without him around.
Later that evening I walked back from Bom’s place and headed home. “Chaerin!” I heard a familiar husky voice called from behind. Turning around, I came face to face with him, Bang Yongguk. “Hey, just got off work?” I asked as I continued to walk on, with him walking besides me.
“Yupps, so glad to catch you here,” I saw him smile at the corner of my eyes while sticking his hands into his pocket.
“Why”
“Because I miss bothering you.”
“Yah, I’m not-“
“Bang Yongguk,” a voice suddenly cut me off. Two men in black suits approached us as Yongguk’s smile faded and his face turns serious. “Heyy, what else do we have here? Yongguk’s little girl?” one of the guys eyed me from head to toe.
“Don’t you dare involve her into this,” Yongguk suddenly grabbed my wrist and pulled me behind him, “What do you jerks want?”
“Remember our $5000? Our boss wants it by the end of this week.”
$5000? Yongguk owes money? Was that why he’s been missing this whole time? Because he’s been working to earn money?
“What?! That’s ridiculous! I still have two weeks left!”
“Not my problem, you find us the cash or we’ll take something else,” he eyed me again before leaving.
