That was the last time I saw her, neither did she contact me either. After that I couldn't return to school for a whole week, for I had to work to earn money to pay off the debt. Maybe she really just didn't want to talk about it.
I was working hard moving boxes of groceries out of the truck to the back of the store when I heard a familiar voice, it was Chaerin. She looked paler than the last time I saw her. She looked exhausted, stressed, and she looked like she had shed some weight. I wonder if she's having problems again. I wonder if she cut herself again. I tried to study the way she walked to see if I could tell but she walked normally. Whether she cut herself or she didn't, she was good at hiding it. It's in her nature of pretend that everything is fine, and she have mastered it.
"Hey," I sneaked up behind her, causing her to jump a little.
"You work here too?" she looked at me as she scans my uniform. "Yupps, here too," I reply with a smile, "haven't seen you for a while now, how you been?"
"Peaceful, I don't have anyone following me anymore," she smiled widely as her eyes also smiles.
"Aww, that hurts. You'll see me again soon though," I gave her my best smile. We were interrupted when my boss came and told me to unload the rest of the box from the back. She bought her things and quickly left.
