"Hey," I greeted as I plot myself down in the seat across from Chaerin. "You're not working?" she asked, looking up towards the cash register then to me.

"On break," I pushed a plate of a sandwich and a cup of orange juice towards Chaerin, "Eat this, you've been here for almost 5 hours now and I haven't seen you eat or drink anything." We both came in together this morning and although I've been working this whole time, I noticed that she have not ordered anything at all.

Maybe it was because she was in a big hoodie but her face looked really tired and her figure looked really exhausted as well, nothing like the girl I saw at the club the other night.

Chaerin looked at the food and slid it back towards me, "Thanks, but I'm not really hungry."

"If you're worried, I didn't put anything in it, this is my workplace, not the club," I chuckle as I slid it back. This whole situation reminded me of our first encounter all over again, "I know you're hungry. If you eat it I'll take it as an apology of you rejecting my drink at the club."

"And why do I gotta apologize for that?"

"There's a code, whenever someone offers you a drink, even if you don't drink it, you accept it and hold onto it and then leave it when you leave. Instead of making me take my own drink, you could've accept it and throw it away or something when I leave. You know, I have pride too."

"I'll eat it in celebration that I actually was able to hurt your pride," Chaerin laughed and picked up half the sandwich as she bites into it, "I'm just kidding though, it's really good. Thank you for the food and drink," she suddenly slid the plate back towards me, "Eat with me, you're probably hungry too."

After eating and chatting for a few minutes, it was time for me to return to work.
