The End
FlashlightA week has passed by and things have seemed to return to how it used to be, except one thing, Hyosun was now attending the same school as Chaerin and Yongguk.
“Hurry! Hurry up before we miss the fight!” the two boys ran passed Yongguk. ‘Fight? That’s rare, I mean, doesn’t that only happen in high school?’ Yongguk thought to himself. “Yah, I heard the new girl is pretty good, hurry up!” ‘New girl? Hyosung?’
“Wait!” Yongguk after them and grabbed onto them, “new girl? Who’s fighting?”
“The new girl and Chaerin, they’re fighting behind the buildings. C’mon, you’re going to miss the fight!”
‘Chaerin, is Hyosung fighting Chaerin?’ Yongguk thought to himself in disbelief.
“Bang Yongguk!” he heard Himchan sreamed behind him as he sprinted off to the scene, heart pounding against his chest. It was their physical education class, meaning she was probably in shorts, and that meant there was a possibility she was going to expose her cuts.
Sohee and two other girls held the beaten up Chaerin back as Hyosun stood in front of her, “Look at you, so pathetic. It wasn’t enough that your mother stole Sohee’s dad that now you’re after my boyfriend? Tsk, like mother like daughter. You’re-“ and her eyes stopped at Chaerin’s risen shorts, “What’s this?” she lifted up the hem of Chaerins shorts, revealing all her scars, “you really are crazy. Everybody! You guys see this? I’m not the crazy one here, she-“
“Jun Hyosung!” Yongguk ran towards them, huffing and puffing, and pulled Chaerin away from them. “Tsk, oppa, you’re still siding with her? Did you know? She cuts herself, she’s just a crazy person. You really want to side with such a mentally unstable-“
“Let’s go,” Yongguk ignored Hyosung and picked up Chaerin, walking away.
“S-Set me down,” Chaerin broke the silence after a while as the two were on their way to the nurse’s office. “But-“
“I’ll be fine,” Chaerin said, emotionless. She wasn’t even crying, and she didn’t even wince in pain when Yongguk set her down, she was just quiet.
“We have to go to the nurse’s office,” Yongguk grabbed her hand, only to have her pulled back. “I’ll be fine,” she looked up at him and forced out a smile. She was trying really hard to convince him she was doing fine. “Look, don’t let what happened back there-“
“I’m fine, ‘m just going to go home.” And she started walking away. Yongguk wanted to go after her, but he got the feeling that she really wanted to be alone, hence all the effort she put in making it seem as if she was fine. Yongguk couldn’t help but just watch as she walked away.
Hey, let’s meet. (:
Days have pases by since the incident and not once have Chaerin contacted anyone. Not matter how many times Yongguk called her or text her, she never got back to him. Even when he went over to her house, she would never be home. She even stopped coming to school and quitted
