“So Nyuh Shi Dae!”

Jungsu, proud as ever, leaned over to pat Taeyeon’s head.

Taeyeon could barely hold in the tears as she climbed the steps up to the stage with her girls, her members, her dongsaengs--her sisters.

“We stole it from you,” she said guiltily to Jungsu backstage, after the ceremony.

“No, you didn’t,” the older leader assured her, squeezing her shoulder. “You girls worked incredibly hard this year, of course you deserved it.”

“Still, I just can’t...believe it.”

Jungsu chuckled. “It’s kind of surreal, isn’t it?”

“Completely,” Taeyeon breathed, staring at Jungsu’s chin, and avoiding his eyes.

“Hey, Taeyeon?”

“Yeah?”

“What if I told you--never mind.”

“What?” Taeyeon’s eyes moved up to his. “Tell me!”

“No, it’s not important. It’s nothing.” Jungsu shook his head.

“Fine,” she pouted, walking away greatly disappointed.

But she didn’t know why she felt that way.
