“Seolhyun..” Hyejeong began.

Prepare for worst. Prepare for worst. The maximum she will do is just make some homophobic statement and then reject you. Get ready…

“Can you give me some time?”
“What?”

Time? TIME? What do you mean? You literally reject the hottest guys of the school and now you ask me to give you some time?!

“I need some time to think.”

TO THINK! Am I dreaming?  

Seolhyun was over-shocked. She remembered how Yuna told her about the different ways guys tried just to get to hear at least that one phrase. Just to get Hyejeong ask for some time to think over their request for a chance. At that moment, it didn’t matter whether Hyejeong thought of her as a friend or not, whether she would reject her or not: just a mere request for some time was enough for Seolhyun. It meant Hyejeong would think about her. Contemplate her words. Remember her confession.

“Yeah.. sure..”
“And.. can I ask you for one more thing?”
“Y-yes?”
“Promise me that you will never do anything harmful to yourself again.”
“Oh..”
“And that you will inform me first if something happens.”

Do you really care that much or just try to be formal? Why is it so hard to understand you, after all…

“Promise?”

“She what?!” Yuna voiced over the phone. Right before sleeping, Seolhyun had called her to inform about the game, their victory, and everything in general, including the talk with Hyejeong, of course.
“I know it’s unbelievable but she did! I still have difficulties getting my mind to have a rest, I think about it all the time.” Seolhyun replied, lying in her bed, waiting for Chanmi to be back in the room.
“No, I knew it would soon happen. The way she took care of you even though she looks like she hates everyone was already a proof.”
“I don’t know, I was still afraid…”
“It’s weird how you can say you were afraid when you attacked her with an overwhelming passion.”
“That’s not how I—“
“I know you too well, Seolhyun, you can’t deny you did it exactly that way.”
“Damn, I don’t even get a chance to lie to you. Now I have to be friends with you forever.”
“I know right…”
“What are you doing, by the way?”
“Nothing, just doing homework with Mina.”
“Lemme guess, chemistry this time?”
“Geography… idiot.”
“Oh so you’re like.. exploring her body?”
“Seolhyun!”
“Fine, I take it as a sign to shut up.”
“Psychopathic weird ert…” Yuna grumbled.
“I know you love me either way. Not as much as you love Mina unnie, but you do.”
“Ughhhh.” she groaned, but hearing Seolhyun’s soft giggle, she laughed with her.

After this, Seolhyun’s relationship with Hyejeong changed, of course… for the better.
To start off, Hyejeong volunteered to sit with her on their way back to Seoul. She frequently accompanied Seolhyun to the house of her own accord, although refused to actually enter for a cup of tea, constantly took care of her and almost never stopped asking about the slightest pain Seolhyun was experiencing in any area. Although she did it reservedly and even modestly, Seolhyun could still see h
