"Jongin, are you crying right now?"

"Of course. How are you not crying? We made that baby together." 

"Call me if you need anything, I left Mr. Noh, Kai and my number on a paper by the phone. Hailey, really, call if you need something." Her manager said and Hailey nodded, sighing softly and smiling to reassure her. "I'll be fine, you can leave." Hailey said, turning the knob on the door, yet leaving it closed as the manager continued talking. 

"Also, remember to take your vitamins and eat something before bed."

"Yes." Hailey laughed, running her free hand through her head.

"You've worked hard, I'm sure the music video will come out beautiful." The manager tried to cheer her up further, knowing just how exhausted she had to be. 

"Thank you. You've worked hard too. Now, leave, you also need rest!" Hailey scolded the manager with a laugh, bowing and waiting until she entered the elevator to Hailey pushed the door of her home open and glanced around as she walked in, obviously looking for Kai without noticing it herself. She switched the lights on at the panel by the door, also changing the temperature since the apartment seemed to be freezing.

"Jongin?" She called, removing her shoes and placing them on the closet before stepping inside the apartment itself.

"Jongin?" She called again, rubbing her arms as she tried to warm herself up. Noticing she was alone after a few calls of his name, she dropped her bag on the floor and frowned, moving over to the phone and picking it up before noticing the telephone line was cut. She looked confused and reached down for the cut cable, straightening her back and it was then when she heard the sound of shattering glass from upstairs.

"Jongin?" She called, releasing the cable and moving over to the stairs, taking a deep breath as she walked up the stairs slowly and with caution. She gripped on the handrail and soon reached the second floor, following the sound of rummaging that came from either Kai's room or hers. She made sure to be as quiet as possible as she reached the space between Kai's door and hers, before reaching with both arms and touching both doors which were slightly open. Her hands touched both doors and with a deep breath, she pushed them both open at the same time.

She didn't know why, but the moment she did it, instant regret was felt and all she could do was close her eyes and wait. 

She should have left her eyes open.
