I took a deep sigh. "How do you know?"

"Don't underestimate me." She chuckled. "Your eyes, girl. They show everything. The way you look at Baekhyun. It's impossible if you look at him that way when you have your boyfriend sitting next to you."

I gulped nervously. "Did it show? I mean, was it obvious?"

"I'm afraid so. Even Jimin pointed it out to me, he asked if the one you really like is Baekhyun."

"Then..." I choked, not being able to proceed.

Joohyun continued it for me. Her expression looked grim. "Taehyung must have known about it too."

That's what I was scared of. How I hurt his feelings and didn't realize what I was doing. I really wanted to bang my head on the wall right now for my stupidity. He's the one I cared the most and I gave him the most pain. I knew very well how he felt about me and I disappointed him just like that. I didn't even tell him properly about my feeling and just went off flirting with another guy. I was the worst.

"I'm so stupid," I muttered.

"No, you're not." She smiled at me under the dim light. "Especially when you've never dated someone before."

I widened my eyes. "How do you know?"

She scoffed. "Oh, please. You're in the police force since you're in a very young age. I doubt you can date often under the pressure of your job."

When I was about to object her statement, I remembered that most of our members were bachelors, and maybe a very few bachelorettes including me. Not many women decided to join the force. "You're right." I gave up.

"But, I admit, you're an amazing girl. I'm proud I'm a friend of a policewoman." She shook her head in disbelief. "And who would expect the biggest problem of a young female police detective is love?"

I pouted. "Are you insulting me?"

She giggled. "Of course not. I'm praising you. You're a strong girl. The heavy weight of being a cop doesn't bother you."

"But, here I am. Getting confused because of my own love problem."

"I'll help you sort out your feelings." She cleared as if she was a professional love consultant. "How did you know Taehyung?"

I told her the story about my first meeting with Taehyung at the police headquarters when we'd been eight. How we'd been alone, afraid, and frail, against the harsh world. But together, we'd been strong and fought to survive. We'd ended up becoming cops and excelled in our field.

Our friendship lasted for ten years and it's still going on strong. Sparks of love came between us unavoidably. I told her how I'd started feeling nervous around him, how my heart suddenly raced when he smiled, how I missed him if he's not around to tease me, how he always cheered me up when I was down, how he always calmed me down when I got nightmares and accompanied me through the night, how my cheeks blushed when he did something sweet for me. I could rattle about him all night long and I wouldn't be able to cover up even a tenth of what he had done to me. He's my everything. I could do nothing without him.

Joohyun nodded understandingly, digesting my story. "Then, how about Baekhyun?"

I rattled about Baekhyun from the first time we'd met at the airport. He'd been a total jerk back then. Later I'd figured out that he'd been living in a family with no affection and he had always been alone. Behind that expressionless face, there's a hint of loneliness. He's lonely. It was the reason of his rebellious attitude. Right after that, I'd determined to make him feel he's not alone. He'd had us with him. As time had gone by, he'd changed.

He might not have been the type to show his affection frankly, but he was more of a tough guy who had a caring heart deep within. Well, he might have been an arrogant brat sometimes, but he was really a nice guy. At first, he'd never showed his emotions to people. He'd seemed emotionless with stone cold expression on his face. He'd never smiled sincerely from his heart, like he's wearing an expressionless mask the whole time. But, he'd changed.

I told her how he was being nice to me. Even if he tried not to show it I could tell his intention. I also told her about that night in the convenience store, how he'd smiled at me for the first time and how my heart had gone crazy afterwards. I would do anything to see the smile again.

Joohyun smiled after I finished my long story telling. "I got an idea about your situation now."

"And what is it?" I asked curiously.

"Well, it's just my opinion, I hope you're not believing everything I'll say. Just take it into consideration." She paused. "You're indeed in love with both of them."

I lifted an eyebrow. "Joohyun, you're not helping."
