“There’s been a few incidents and we suspect the author is one of your students.”

“Have you noticed any of them acting strange?” Hyorin asked, taking out a notepad. “I know there’s a lot of students.”

“Aside from ___, I haven’t seen anything weird.” He answered. “Why do you suspect my students?” He questioned.

“We can’t disclose any of that information.” Your mom cut his curiosity short. “Is there a possibility that you can provide us with a list of all your students?”

“Yes, of course.” He was a bit taken aback but he also knew how investigations work. “I’ll print all my student lists right now.”

“Are you okay?” Hyorin asked, sitting beside you on the couch. You were watching TV.

“Yeah…” You smiled at her and she patted your head.

You watched TV together for a while, your mom was at the station.

“I don’t think I can continue criminology.” You suddenly spoke, getting Hyorin’s full attention.

“Because of this morning?” She asked and you nodded.

“I was okay at first but when I heard what happened, it all came back to me.” You explained, she just listened. “And when I saw the picture with all that blood…” Tears started running down your cheeks. “I had to run away from it.”

Hyorin sat closer to you and wrapped her arms around you protectively. You hugged her back.

“It’s completely normal to feel this way, ___.” She rubbed your back.

“I thought I’d be okay going to class, but I don’t think I can hear about those things.” You told her and sniffed.

“Is there anything else you’d like to do?” She asked, trying to get your thoughts away from the trauma.

You kept quiet for a while, she thought you had fallen asleep and continued rubbing your back.

“Computers maybe?” You wondered out loud.

“You do enjoy them.” She told you and you nodded. “Maybe you can change majors.”

“Yeah.” You sat up, smiling. “Can you help me look it up?”

“Of course, let’s go.” She helped you get up and handed you the crutches. You gave her a quick hug. “Thanks, mom.” You parted the hug and made your way to your room.
