The Park (Part Two)

What a Whimsical Notion

YOONGI'S POV

What the hell was that? She's such a ing freak... After Jen had lashed out on me after I pulled her away from that dog, wanting to avoid another argument, I went to get myself a drink at the coffee truck near the center of the park. Though it’s fun to mess with her, she's so easily tempted, I didn't have the energy or irritation built up to carry out the deed.

She really is the strangest girl I've ever met and I'm not at all surprised with the fact that she's good friends with Hoseok; he's defiantly the weirdest person I've ever been in close contact with. It's only logical for them to date, and clearly Hoseok must like her, I've never seen him act the way he does in front of her, which strangely adds to my annoyance. He and Jimin are always touching her, and getting into her space, that always irritates me, doesn't she care? She can't just let anyone touch her, she certainly doesn't like it when I do; she basically jolts away whenever we just happen to graze skin. What's wrong with me that makes me so repelling?

I sighed and could smell the coffee before I saw the truck, but soon it entered my field of view and I was pleased to see no one was waiting in line. I quickly ordered my usual cup, black with one sugar, I thanked the owner and was on my way back to the edge of the forest.

As I looked around, I saw that no one else was within in my sight, that wasn't really shocking for no one would be at the park at five o'clock on a Monday. I liked being alone, it made me feel secure and safe, I could always count on myself, but I couldn't always lean on others.

People, possessions, parents, partners; they all end up leaving, broken, or dead.

I know it sounds pessimistic, and I have steered away from the motto, but I can't seem to find the false truth in it. Nothing lasts forever. Nothing.

That’s why I built a wall around myself. That's why I try to come off arrogant, so no one approaches me, so I don't feel that heart ripping pain of loss again, I wouldn't be able to handle it, I barely made it out of that hell hole. Jin helped me get out; I'd known him my entire life.

We were close; we were because we had to be.

I didn't plan, didn't think I needed, any more friends, Jin understood me; that was all I felt I needed.

One day he brought a friend over when I was fifteen; it was Namjoon. Namjoon reminded me so much of myself, he was broken, broken at the age of fourteen. Where he found him, I don't know. But after he had moved in with his Aunt ten minutes away, I couldn't help but become his friend. When I would look at him, I would see myself and I pitied him. But that doesn't stop me from becoming annoyed with him today.

I hated pitying others, because I hated it when people pitied me when they found out what happened to me.

The others, Hoseok, Taehyung, Jimin, Jungkook, somehow all just flitted themselves into my life. Jin had gotten Jimin out of trouble at school, he had been caught in the girl's locker room; that ert. He found Hoseok through Jimin, Jimin had brought Jin to a dancing competition to which he battled Hoseok. I don't know why Jin felt he had to save or find so many people; he would say that I needed the company.

Taehyung, oh Taehyung..... He was a hopeless cause. I had come across him in the school yard, being pestered by a teacher because he brought three stray dogs on school property, and one had bit a student. He was telling the professor that they really were kind, he named them Killer, Lucifer, and Spartacus (Lucifer had been the one to bite the freshman). The funny thing was, they were all about two and a half feet in length and height, fluffy, white puppies. He ended up having to give them away, he was devastated.

I had stumbled upon Jungkook in a very unique way. It was this past year, he was being beat up in an alley, he was too young to be in a street fight and was being totally kicked around. I don't why I interfered. I think it was because I couldn't stand to watch yet another youthful soul crack in front of my eyes.

My thoughts were interrupted by loud bursts of, what was it? Whales? Sounded like whales to me, but when I followed the noises, I found the sources either sprawled out on the ground, on the bench, or hunched over. My pace slowed and soon came to a stop in front of Jen. "What the did I walk in on?" I openly inquired, though I knew that none were capable of answering my question.

I sighed, This is ing annoying! What the hell are they doing?! I glanced down, and met eyes with piercing blue green ones. Her laugh filled my ears; it reminded me of Jimin when he would get punched in the gut and while he inhaled deeply, he created this high pitch screech. God it was strange. Why is she so ing weird in all areas?

She continued to smile, to laugh, her eyes slightly tearing up and making them look as if they were covered with a shimmery gloss. Her golden brown hair spread out on the grass around her head, her chest was rising and falling rapidly, her entire body trembling. Her smile was exposing just the right amount of her gums and creating two small wrinkles on either side of her eyes. Her usually thick lips appeared thinner and her teeth, though not perfectly white, seemed to some- what glow or shine. I stared into her eyes, and found my body had become replete with serenity and content, and I could feel my heart beat on a slightly faster pace. I didn't want to look away and couldn't dismiss the fact that I was feeling some form of excitement. I couldn't help it, she looked....she appeared...appeared so beautiful...

What?

I snapped out of the trance I didn't know I was in and grimaced, suddenly realizing that she was no longer making incoherent sounds, and took a step away from her. I quickly took a sip from my coffee trying to comprehend what just happened. What am I doing? What was I thinking? My eyes darted around me, and they found Jimin on the ground, I made a swift escape towards him. Did anyone see me? I glanced over my shoulder, and made eye contact with Taehyung, he was smirking at me.

My eyes slightly widened; he had seen me.

I didn't know why the bastard always did that, it was like he knew something I didn't. But that seemed very unlikely. It also confused me that he always tried to get me and Jen to interact; he started that basketball battle and sent her to give me a pastry, so I would 'forgive him'. Nothing ever happened between us, and I wasn't angry with him, but lately, he has been getting on my nerves.

My eyes shifted from him to Hoseok, who was now lying next to Jen, her eyes were closed and he seemed to be talking to himself. He suddenly stopped speaking, I saw him look at her and grin softly. He turned and laid on his side, he reached over with his left his arm and played with her hair.

My blood froze.

Something felt very wrong; he wasn't supposed to touch her. He then let his fingers lightly graze her cheek; she stirred and also her side with her arm under her head. I realized that she was sleeping, and I could feel myself bubble up with a great amount of fury. What gave him permission to even look at her when she wasn't aware of it?

This was seriously starting to piss me off. Why did she fall asleep? Stupid girl, doesn't she know Hoseok likes her? She's denser than a door nail. I looked away. It was hard to watch that scene. I found that I was breathing heavy. I needed to calm down.

"What's up with you?" I glanced down, I forgot Jimin was there. His eyebrows were scrunched together, "You look like you're going to go on a killing spree." I glared at him, this wasn't helping me relax, what so ever.

"What's wrong, Yoongi?" I became even more irritated just at the sound of Taehyung's voice. He was walking over to me with a rather smug look. I took in a shaky breath, I wanted to kill him. His eyes grew in a mocking manner, "Oh My! Are you, by any chance, jealo-" I couldn't hold it in anymore. I dealt with his snarky comments insinuating that I felt something toward that freak.

I was done.

I dropped my coffee and punched him in the jaw. I heard some sort of clicking noise erupt from our contact.

"YOONGI!" My eyes darted over my shoulder, Jen looked furious. Why was she awake? "What the hell are doing?!" My heart sank, and I glanced at Taehyung, he was on the ground and his hands rested on the side of his face, he looked in pain. I didn't want to hurt him, he made me, he knew what he was doing and he provoked me. She ran to his side, but continued to stare at me. She looked disappointed, it killed me, but I didn't know why. "Are you okay?" She asked him, removing his hand from his face and examining him, her thumb softly skimmed his skin where a bruise was beginning to develop. I looked away; does she have to be so touchy with everyone?

 I was done.

I hated this feeling. I turned and started to walk away.

"Where do you think you're going?!" I stopped dead in my tracks, I didn't want to turn around, didn't want to start an argument with her. But before I could react, I felt someone latch onto my shoulder, causing me to face them. It was Jen. I stared at her, her blue green eyes throwing daggers into mine. Could she learn how to hold her temper? Did she plan on wasting all her anger on me? I sighed and just watched her as she began throwing her arms about, yelling, but I wasn't listening. Her figure was blurred and her voice muffled. I reached my hands up and grabbed her arms, she stopped talking, and I felt her shiver.

I became angry. Just like that, she shivered at my touch. I looked into her eyes, which were glued to where our skin touched, "Stop starting useless arguments with me!" I shook her slightly; calling her attention, her eyes were wide, lips slightly parted, and face red. She seemed surprised. "I know that I shouldn't have punched him! I know it was wrong! I know how to act, but so does he!" I glanced over at him; he was standing now, just watching us. I saw Hoseok start to walk over towards us, he didn't look too happy either. Welcome to the club.

I dropped her hands, as that's what I assumed he was angry about. It was so obvious that he had feelings for, but she was too dense, too stupid, to see that! He stopped walking towards us, and he looked shocked, his eyes wide. I nodded at him, threatening him to start a fight with now, while mouthing the words, 'Happy now?' He didn't move or attempt to speak.

"That's not the point! You still hit him!" Jen whined out vigorously, she had pleading eyes. She was a couple feet away from me now; she was wearing a pained expression.

"Yoongi!" I groaned, and rolled my eyes, Jimin wanted to join the argument too.

But before he could continue, Taehyung interrupted all of us, "Stop!" All heads turned to look at him; his tall figure strolled over to me. He was wearing a small grin on his lips. His brown hair messy and I saw the black and blue bruise on his face. I bit my lip and glanced away, I felt guilty. I had never hit him before. He reached us and rested a hand on Jen's shoulder, she tore her eyes away from me (I hadn't realized she was watching me) and up to him. "It's fine, he had every right to punch me." He looked at me, he seemed guilty too, "I was being a jerk, and I'm sorry."

Because of times like this, I had respect for the fact that Taehyung truly was a good man.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes, he didn't need to apologize, not in front of everyone like that at-least.

Jen looked confused, she often did. It surprised me how intelligent she actually was. She scratched the back of her head, her hair falling into her face, "O-okay," She started looking from me to Taehyung, chewing her lip, her eyebrows furrowed, as if she was deep in thought. "Well, if you're fine with it...I guess." No body spoke, Hoseok looked as if he'd seen a ghost, he was leaning up against a garbage can, Jimin seemed utterly befuddled, he was looking around his eyes squinted as if he was trying to figure something out. Taehyung was smiling and seemed completely fine, and Jen was rocking back and forth on her heels, she was looking down and doing that thing when she pulled at her hair and mumbled to herself. Freak.

I caught a few things that slipped aimlessly out of , things like, 'hot', 'arm', 'stupid', 'eyes', and 'wrong'. I shook my head as I heard her gasp and look up in worry. "HOMEWORK!"

"What?" Taehyung asked, she looked frantic and her arm shot out in front of her towards the trail, "I-I have homework I need to do, and go...I need to go home." She sheepishly smiled at him and glanced back at Hoseok and Jimin, then to me, but her smile faltered and she turned red. She pulled her arm back to her body, but ended up having a spaz-attack, and flung her arms out, hitting Taehyung in the spot I had.

I heard Jimin snicker, and I couldn't help but smirk as her eyes widened and she stepped away from Taehyung. "I-I'm sorry I-I didn't mean to..." She bit her lip, her ears turning scarlet.

Taehyung shook his head and smiled, "It's fine!" he chuckled, "Let's just go home."

She looked extremely relieved, and let out a deep breath, closing her eyes, and rubbing her face, "I need to pull myself together and get over the fact that he's attract-" She gasped and let out a small yelp, she removed her hands from her face and instantly caught my eye. She looked aghast.

'Get over the fact that he's...attractive?' I smirked, as I watched her expression go from aghast to horrified. I felt some form of triumph and audacity. Does she think I'm attractive?

She opened to speak, but nothing came out, at first. She eventually managed to sputter, "What's with that smirk? You-you !" She screeched angrily as she lunged at me, I was not expecting that.  Her small form somehow tackled me to the ground; she was a lot stronger than she looked.

I was lying on my back, Jen was on top of me, one arm at my throat. What is she doing? She's not seriously trying to strangle me is she? She was breathing heavily, her eyes wide and annoyed; her hair in a tangled mess and on one side of her face. Her lips were parted and a soft rose color, her cheekbones were tinted red, and her eyebrows were furrowed angrily. Her heavy in takes of breath was causing her chest to press up against mine.

My heart beat faster.

I couldn't ignore the feeling that was spreading through me at our close contact. Her breath was hot and flushing over my face and on my neck, I shivered and resisted the urge to pull her closer to me. I felt myself becoming hot, this wasn't good. My eyes settled on her lips, they were moving as she breathed, her legs were basically around my hips and I could feel her skin on her thighs touching the skin on my torso (it had ridden up slightly when she tackled me); her entire body was trembling as she continued to put pressure on my neck.

This was bad.

She wasn't supposed to do this to me, she made feel venerable and weak, and that is not supposed to happen. I was so aware of all the places where her skin touched mine, where her breath grazed me, and I wouldn't be able to take it anymore. I wanted to feel her pink lips moving on mine, wanted her hands to touch my skin, wanted to breathe in her flowery scent, and wanted her to want it too. I wanted to stay like this, feel this way, forever. I stared into her eyes, trying my best to not let them wander, and I tried to dismiss the thoughts that were coursing through my mind right now. It was too pleasing to have her body pressed up against mine.

She needed to get off me, now.

But before I built up the courage to do anything, I began to realize that I wasn't breathing. Oh my God...she's actually choking me... My hands shot up to her arm, and I tried to pull it away, but for some reason, I wasn't able to do it. Suddenly, she was off me and I gasped, breathing in all the oxygen I could into my lungs. "Jen! You can't kill him!"

"I wasn't going to!" She hissed out, seeming to be beyond furious.

I'm pretty sure you were...I thought as I stared up at the sky, attempting to calm myself down and find my normal breathing pattern, that was not just corrupted from the lack of air.

"Just pass him out!" She defended her actions.

Oh...how nice of you. Thank you for just planning on passing me out, it's very much appreciated. I mentally told her sarcastically.

I could imagine Hoseok shaking his head in a scolding manner, "No," he started firmly, "We don't do that." He reprimanded her as he was telling a child not to jump their bed. There was something very wrong with this conversation.

They continued to argue about whether or not it was okay to make people lose consciousness, and I felt someone tap my shoulder. I glanced to my left to see Jimin looking as if he was either going to die of worry or laughter. I sat up and gave him a sideways glance, "What's your problem?" I growled, not really in the mood for his childish games.

He shook his head smirking, his eyes barely visible, "It's not my problem, it's yours. Look down, buddy."

I rolled my eyes and glanced down, but I wasn't expecting what it was I saw, at all. My eyes widened with horror and my heart stopped, this was BAD. "!" I hissed out, looking up at him in panic. Never thought I would look at Jimin like that, there's a first time for everything...I guess.

He nodded as I scanned our surroundings, Taehyung, Hoseok, and Jen were in a deep conversation about the second amendment and how they should be able to tranquillize others, if provoked. " is right." Jimin concluded. I looked back at him, at a loss of words and of ideas of what to do. He gestured to the path back to the apartments, "I suggest you get going before anyone else notices." He chuckled devilishly.

I started to stand up, and Jimin put his arm around my shoulders, I roughly pushed him away and grabbed onto either side of his shirt, the bastard was still wearing a smirk. "If you ever tell anyone anything about this," I started seriously freaking out, "I will personally cut off your balls!"

He held up his hands, appearing frightened, but couldn't seem to hide his grin, "This might come into handy, knowing this..." He pondered, averting his gaze from mine and acting as if he had the upper hand, my grip tightened.

"I will ing kill you, Jimin if you ever bring this up!" I growled, quickly checking on the others, they were still occupied. "Swear it! Now!"

"Okay, okay, put me down!" He whined, I released him and he instantly chuckled, "I, Jimin Park," he had held up his right hand, "Swear to never ever mention Yoongi got a because a girl tried to strangled him!" He voiced very quickly and then covered his face to protect himself, for I threatened to punch him.

"ing bastard, not so ing loud!" I shoved his shaking figure out of my way and started into the forest on the trail, I could hear his laughs and I squeezed my hands into fists, "Relax," I breathed out, closing my eyes as I continued down the path. "Just, breath— !" I fell backwards and reached for my forehead, I opened my eyes and looked up; I had walked into a tree... A ING TREE! " nature!" I slammed my fist to the ground.

JENNIFER'S POV

"But it doesn't make any sense!" Hoseok whined as he dragged his hands down his face. For the past couple of minutes Taehyung and I have been messing with him and have been trying to convince him that people should be able to tranquillize others if provoked, it's hilarious because he thinks we're serious. "Why do you think we have lawyers!?"

I bit back a smile and shook my head, "Why do we need lawyers?" I inquired, glancing at Taehyung, he smiled briefly before nodding his head at me.

"I'm all for a little dueling!" He breathed out loudly, and was about to continue on, but he suddenly stopped as he seemed to become utterly confused, I watched as his eyes filled with recognition, they were wider than I've ever seen them.

"Dueling!?" Hoseok shrieked throwing his hands about, his eyes wildly crazy, his face twitched and it made me scrunch my face up in disgust, he looked like a demented squirrel who couldn't find his nuts.

I ignored the nut ball in front of me and turned my attention to Taehyung, "What are you looking at?" I tried to push him aside, but he threw himself in front of me. I raised my eyebrows surprised, "What are doing? What's going on?" I asked trying to look behind him, but he moved every time I got glimpse of what was beyond his lanky figure.

Hoseok was starting to come back to the real world, but Taehyung pushed him into me so he couldn't see either.

"What the hell man?!" He called out as I pushed him away from me, I didn't want to be squished twice in one day. "What are you trying to hide?" He asked seriously, but Taehyung just grinned as he used his height to block our view. For a few minutes that’s how it played out, we would try to walk away from him, but he would somehow jump in front of us or squish us together, which got really annoying. "I'm done!" Hoseok yelled and jumped on Taehyung, just as I had done to Yoongi.

Speaking of Yoongi, I saw him walking away from Jimin and into the woods, Jimin was laughing hysterically. "Wonder what happened..." I mumbled disappointed as I scratched my thigh, my shorts were a little too short, not as short as Claire's but they were a little too high above my knee for my taste. It was really strange, I let my hand slide across my skin as I watched Yoongi disappear into the woods, I could still feel a small tingling were his skin touched mine. I felt kind of bad for choking him, he really didn't do anything.

I need to learn how to hold my temper. I sighed and started to recall what it felt like when I tackled him, to feel his heart beat under me, I shivered. No. Stop. Stop thinking like that! I groaned; there's no way I like him! I can't like him...

I looked at Jimin, he was still laughing and I became curious, I stepped over the two wrestling idiots and made my way over to him. He saw that I was approaching and instantly stopped chuckling and became very stiff. "What's up with you?" I asked him, his small eyes were darting to everything but mine. "Seriously dude, what happened? Where did Yoongi go?"

His eyes widened and he pointed in the opposite direction of where he went, I gave him the 'do you think I'm stupid' look, "Is it really that hard? Just tell me what happened!" I pouted, crossing my arms.

"Yes, yes it is." He said, a grin starting to leak onto his features.

"What? What is it?" I asked my eyebrows furrowed.

"It's hard!" He howled and burst into laughter, holding his stomach. I heard another wailing noise behind me and flinched, Taehyung had also started laughing. It scared me, I exchanged glances with Hoseok; he looked just as afraid and shocked. Jimin pointed at Taehyung, it looked as if one of his eyes were looking at him, the other seemed to be lazy, "You—you saw!?" I backed away from him; he was really starting to scare me...

Taehyung nodded as he started to shakily walk towards Jimin, he did the same. They both looked as if they were high, but they should have been dead because they had obviously taken ten times the usual dose. "How did that even happen?!" He asked in a high pitch screech, I heard what sounded like a child crying and I looked around and saw a mother with her baby, the baby was bawling.

"Oh God..." I mumbled horrified, Hoseok was now at my side, wearing the same expression.

"We need to get them out of here!" He said frantically, "They've made a child cry!" His eyes were big and worried.

I nodded, but took one glance at the two bodies, and shook my head, slowly stepping away from them towards the woods. "No, let's—" They're laughs were ridiculously loud and high pitched, they sounded like dying walruses. "Let's just go!" I pushed him toward the trail,"Go! Go, go, go, go!" I shoved him forward and we started running.

"Where are you going!?" One of the maniacs questioned, I looked back,; they were starting to follow us!

I screeched, and looked ahead, "We're coming with yooouuu!" The other howled, and that's when I knew, I had to sprint all the way back.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------–---------------------------

Hello! Double update! I wanted to make up for the really long wait…How did I do on Yoongi's POV? It was a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I did my best!

Well anyway.....
