It was late and dark. There was nothing. The only light I had emitted from my lighter, and the neon sign attached to the building next to mine, which was visible from the window. I remember sitting on the roof of that building with Jungkook. We pointed out stars to each other, but they just turned out to be lights from a passing aeroplane. That was a good night. I wish we did that every night. But we didn’t.

I leaned back, the lighter still firmly in my hand, and sighed.
