Chapter 1
Hard Truth
Donghae:
I didn't like it. Not at all. I wanted to say something. But I couldn't. Eunhyuk's eyes locked with mine for a brief second, but I looked away quickly. I couldn't bare to make eye contact with him. I could hear Siwon whispering something into his ear. My own ears burned. I felt like screaming. Siwon grabbed my shoulder and pulled me down next to him. On his other side was Eunhyuk. He had an arm swung around Eunhyuk's shoulder, and was blowing on his face like a giddy school girl, making his hair fly and tousle. My chest felt like it was collapsing. I stood and brushed off my pants. Siwon asked me to stay, his eyes pleading, but I ignored him and left the room. The mental stress this was causing me made me sick to my stomach, and I wanted to find a bathroom and throw up.
Eunhyuk:
Donghae looked angry. I hit Siwon on the shoulder and glared intensely. He pulled away and shrugged his shoulders. My brows furrowed with frustration. I didn't understand why every time I end up around Siwon, Donghae gets angry. Siwon acts the same way to him all the time, not just me. In fact, Siwon was like this with pretty much everyone. He was never going to get Siwon to himself, no matter how hard he tries, Siwon is too much of a skinship king. My hair pulled back as I ran my fingers through it, exhaling deeply. As soon as every last ounce of air was finished emptying from my lungs I slapped my knees and stood abruptly. I followed Donghae's angry footsteps into the bathroom, ready to confront him, but what I had heard shocked me. Was he ill? Wretched coughing and hacking sounds echoed through the room, making my ears ring. I jogged across the restroom to the stalls and started pushing on every stall, until I came to a door that didn't open. I pressed my ear to it, and I could hear him inside, breathing heavily. The door wouldn't budge when I tried to open it a second time, so I backed up and slammed my shoulder against it. The lock easily busted and I saw him on his knees, hunched over the toilet and clutching the seat with both hands. His hair was wet with sweat and matted to his face. Slowly, he turned his head to look over his shoulder, but just before our eyes made contact, his own rolled back into his head, and he fell over, smashing his skull against the toilet.
Donghae:
When I opened my eyes, Eunhyuk's face was inches from my own. My head throbbed, and my vision was slightly blurry. I let a deep groan rip through my throat. Eunhyuk put his hand on my shoulder to keep me from getting up. His eyes were intense, and he looked worried. Or was it just irritation? I couldn't tell. Siwon appeared behind him with a bowl full of water and a wet rag in one hand. Eunhyuk took the bowl from him and dipped the rag into the water. He placed it on my forhead after ringing the excess water out. His lips opened, and he spoke slowly, and assertively. "You're an idiot. You were sick, but you didn't tell anyone? What were you thinking? You hit your head on the toilet and passed out. Luck must be on your side today. There's no concussion." He pulled away and wiped his lip, anger, or frustration, either one, masked his face. Siwon sat down on the bed next to me. His weight made the mattress shift and the blankets ontop of me tugged a bit. He was smiling softly, with that dorky, handsome smile he always flaunted. He flicked my forehead and teased me. "He's right. That could have been dangerous." I sat up quickly. My head spun and I became extremely dizzy. The feeling of nausea returned, and I felt myself losing my balance, and leaning to the side. Eunhyuk caught my shoulders and layed me back down. "Idiot." Something flashed in his eyes. I couldn't tell what it was, I could almost never read his emotions. He slapped his hand on my shoulder lightly and stood up, before leaving the room. Siwon followed him. It made me angry all over again. I despised that they always hung around each other like they were handcuffed.
