Description

D.O. knew from the beginning that Chanyeol was different. His demeanor was different from the other students in his school. As soon as Chanyeol transferred to his class, he stood out. Something didn't seem right. The girls and boys loved Chanyeol, they found him handsome and charming. His smile was bewitching and his laughter drew people in. Although he was cautious of Chanyeol, it wasn't until D.O. was involved in an accident that he was able to unveil the true identity of the new student.

Chanyeol possesses extraordinary powers that are beyond the capabilities of normal people. His powers were sealed at birth in a pocketwatch that can only be released by the seal's holder. He has been holding onto the seal for many years, awaiting the right person to sign the contract and become the holder of his powers. If he finds someone to hold his seal, they can release his powers at any time, but not without consequence. The consequence of releasing Chanyeol's powers is the shortening of the seal holder's life. The hands of the watch only move for the duration that Chanyeol's powers are released, and when both hands strike 12, the contracted seal holder will die.

Foreword

In that moment, the air was still. I could feel the blood trickling down my arm, cascading in hot droplets that seeped through my shirt sleeve. It stung. My ears rang and my chest fluttered with the quickening palpitations of my heart. I moaned in pain as I closed my eyes, trying to wrap my perception of reality into a series of thoughts that actually meant something. My eyelids opened and I watched the stream of crimson drip from my wrist and onto the glass, smearing over the surface and blocking my view of the hands. My fingers shook with the anticipation of uncovering his lie. I waited. I could feel his gaze on me, endless and unrelenting. He seemed nervous, his breath hitching and his posture guarded. I did my best to hold back the sneer that was tugging at the corners of my lips, awaiting the victory that I knew would come. I had let myself believe that I had already won; this was a mistake. I let myself slip and dropped my hands to my sides. My smirk faded immediately once the realization hit. I couldn't believe my eyes; what I saw was a monster. The man infront of me was not Chanyeol, it seemed, not a man it all. Chanyeol's body had become merely a shell for this thing that was ripping and clawing at his form. I watched his bones bend and break, contorting his figure. The noise that came from its mouth was sharp, a screech that made my ears burn. Terrified, my mind screamed, "RUN.", but my body would not move. I trembled in fear as I watched the boy I thought was just a liar with a sick fantasy change into a being I couldn't identify. Beast.
