yuju walked out of class, feeling relieved. she almost failed! good thing some kid messed up, giving her a couple more seconds to re-write a few answers. 

she smiled. she was so going to tell this to mingyu, her best friend. 

and that was when she turned to the corner, and the smile from her face dropped. 

there was mingyu, leaning against some girl's locker with a sneaky smirk on his face. flirting. 

the girl was obviously showing signs of flirting back. hair twirling, tons of giggling, and a light blush on her cheeks. 

she didnt know what was mingyu's problem – but he had been at it recently. at every chance he gets, he'd flirt. 

he'd be that giant goofball of lame pickup lines and attractive smiles. 

ugh, forget it. yuju rolled her eyes, walking past mingyu who hadn't seen her yet. she packed up, and got ready to go home.

"hey, yuju!" mingyu called out, but the girl was too far away to hear. or that was what he thought, anyways. 

"anyways, mingyu, wanna hang out sometime?" the girl, solji asks with a beautiful grin. 

the boy nods,  with a goofy grin. 

why do i even bother sometimes. 

the next few days, everything had gone different. when mingyu reached yuju's house, her mom would've said she had already gone. 

she would head to lunch with a few familiar faces that mingyu had flirted with before. 

she wouldn't reply to any of his texts, calls, or whatever. he'd call her name, but it was as if he was calling someone else. 

everytime he'd ask what's wrong, yuju would just shrug him off. once or twice just mumbling a small "its nothing." 

however, it had gone well for mingyu's flirting. he had gone on a few dates, and he managed to not embarrass the heck out of himself, and the girls seem really genuine. 

but there was one that he really liked – solji. she was beautiful. she was talented, could cook great, personality was really friendly and easy going. 

it had only been a two weeks since mingyu had known her, and he could tell she was a great person. 

and that was why, he thiught of confessing at one point. but no.

two weeks was way way way too soon to finalize anything

and where was yuju when you needed her?! mingyu huffed, playing with the leafs he picked up from the ground. 

it had been a week since yuju had started her game of ignoring mingyu.  seven days, one hundred and sixty eight hours, ten thousand and eighty minutes.

it had honestly been hell. 

without her 'annoying' presence beside him, he felt empty. lonely. it was as if a part of him was gone. 

he had no mood to really flirt anymore. oh no, he had no mood to really do anything. 

even brushing his teeth in the morning, his mind would be full of "will she finally talk to me today?" 

but of course, no avail. 

however, he wanted to see. what even was wrong? how long would she even keep this up? she must miss me. no no, she must. 

the morning mingyu walked to school, the clouds were dark. it looked like it was going to rain today,  so he decided to bring his umbrella. 

and it did. 

it was raining cats and dogs after school had ended, and mingyu decided to hang out with solji at the cafe. 

under the heavy rain, the two was shielded under mingyu's giant red umbrella, chatting happily.

"ugh, you goofball." solji rolled her eyes, a heart chuckle emitting from her lips, as mingyu shrugged. "but im still handsome." he tilted his head playfully with an irritating grin. 

"pfft-" she scoffed.

"see? you can't even decline." he stuck his tongue out playfully, earning a snicker from the girl. 

solji huffed a small sigh, crossing her arms. "it is kinda true, i guess." 

mingyu just grinned happily, inhaling the fresh cold breeze, as the rain continued to pour down heavily. 

the light turns green, and the two slowly strolls across the road. 

the sounds of water splashing sudden occurs, and yuju comes speeding past them, all drenched by the rain without an umbrella, or coat.

"w-woah!" mingyu turns around, watching as the girl shivers, trying to find a shelter. 

"hey, solji? would you mind taking the umbrella and saving me a seat? i- i need to go talk to someone for a second." he quickly excused, to which solji nods and heads inside. 

taking off his jacket, mingyu runs under the rain, using it as a cover. he runs after yuju, who was using her hand.

"hey." he huffed.

with furrowed eyebrows, yuju frowns and turns back to watch solji's dry, retreating figure. 

"what are you doing? arent you supposed to have a date wi-" she gets cut off by mingyu. 

"its not a date- ugh! my jacket's  all drenched. lets go under the shelter." 

and with that, yuju and mingyu runs, stopping under the bus stop, panting. 

"why'd you have to do that?" yuju asks with a frown. 

"and how can i leave my best friend under the rain, shievering, with nowhere to go, hm?" he answers, with his hands on his hips. 

she lets out a sigh, running a hand through her hair. "just, go back to your girlfriend." 

"she's not my girlfriend." mingyu declines. 

"fine. your soon-to-be girlfriend." 

the tall male lets out a low chuckle, watching as how yuju sulked.

"why are you so salty? what makes you think she's going to be my girlfriend, huh?" 

"oh, how could i not, if you've been ignoring me and had been flirting with her ever since?" yuju stated, a frown on her face.

mingyu scoffed. "me, ignoring you?! wow. says the one that had been ignoring my calls, messages, invites and more!" 

the smaller rolled her eyes, putting a hand over her forehead. "just forget it." 

"woah, are you getting sick?" mingyu asks, walking closer to her as he put a hand over her forehead. 

lifting her gaze to the boy's sparkling eyes, that were full of care, she dropped her hand from her forehead. 

"why do you even care, mingyu? i treated you so badly." she asked, her tone softening. 

"you are sick. let's get you home, okay?" 

mingyu ignored her question, hailing a cab that was conveniently driving past a few minutes later. 

after they had arrived at yuju's house, he got her to change into comfy pajamas.

mingyu tapped a wet towel onto her forehead. while she snuggled into herself, seeking warmth.

"solji's going to be mad." yuju said.

"its okay, i guess." he sighed, making yuju squint an eye at him.

"what?" he asked, staring into her eyes. "where's the compettetive mingyu i know?" and love.

he laughed, "what?" he asked again.

"why aren't you chasing your crush?" she asked, with a teasing smirk. 

"pft- solji isnt my crush."

"then who is?" 

"you are." 

A/N: im sorry this took longer then usual. I re-wrote the ending because i was -0% satisfied with it. I hope you like it, eventhough the ending still is so crappy. like its so bad im sorry-
