Chapter 12

Earn closed the taxi door and watched his world slowly pass him as they drove away from the airport. He didn't know how to feel since he had know idea if Pete would come back.

"We're here." The taxi driver said as he pulled up to Earns house.

"Thank you." He climbed out of the taxi and instead of going to his own house, he got onto the roof and stood in front of Pete's window. 

He pushed it gently open and the creaking noises it made were so loud he considered leaving. He climbed into the room, feeling it's lonely and empty atmosphere and looked around.

He was like that for a solid twenty minutes before he heard his name. It was quiet, almost like a whisper but he could hear it.

"Earn...!"

He looked around but he was the only one in the room.

"Earn...!"

He figured he was finally going crazy, or maybe he was tired. He laid on the bed and instantly fell asleep. 

But when he woke up, he really woke up.
