"How much would that be?" The fresh faced girl asked. 

"About 2,760 won, dear." The girl rummaged through her bag to take the amount of money she needed to pay the street vendor. 

"Ah, ." she mumbled to herself as she continued looking for her wallet. She turned around to look at the accumulating line behind her. "Just one moment, so sorry."

"Jesus Christ, speed up." The man behind her muttered under his breath but she seemed to not have heard it. She looked up in shame to the old lady who was manning the stall. "I'm so sorry, I don't have enou-"

Agitated, the man behind her took a 50,000 won bill out and paid for her and for himself. "That should be enough to cover it, keep the change." He stated and he made his way off, walking away coolly. The girl couldn't help but gape at the man. She didn't see his face but the aura he was giving off was enough for her to silently admire. And the fact that he had a very deep voice that most would consider y wasn't helping either.

"Miss? Your cakes?" The girl was interrupted from her reverie. "Ah, sorry. Thank you." She smiled to the lady and left the stall to sit on a bench. She took her bag and dumped all the contents out to look for her wallet. 

"There you are!" She took the synthetic leather wallet into her hand and raised it to the sky as if she had just discovered gold. Passerbys eyed her strange action but she paid no heed to it. "Why do you always disappear when I need you the most?" She talked to the wallet while img it. 

"Mum, what's wrong with that lady over there? Is she okay?" A faint voice sounded from a few metres away. "Back away, sweetie. She's just a little out of it." The mother of the child said as they walked further away from the girl. Being oblivious towards all of it, the girl packed her stuff back into her bag and took the paper bag of cakes which she had "bought". As she was eating a piece, she couldn't help but wonder who the man who paid for her was. He was so mysterious and he dressed so darkly. He seemed cold but he was warm enough to pay for her and not ask for change back.

"I should pay him back. It's the least I can do, right?" She said as she swallowed the last mouthful of cake. She took a small notepad out of the pocket of her jacket and jotted something down.

"FIND THE GUY WHO PAID FOR YOUR CAKES AND REPAY HIM. 4:03 P.M. - 8TH JUNE 2015" She kept the notepad back into her pocket and took a bigger notebook out from her bag. She opened the book and started writing on an empty page.

"Sevein has been beautiful. I was reading a newspaper article on this place and another place called Caeria. I find it pretty odd to say the least. We're in Asia but why do these kingdoms have such Western sounding names? I should probably go to a few museums and libraries and find out. Today was quite uneventful. I'm already so bored and it has only been 4:10 p.m. I almost had a heart attack today because I almost lost my wallet for a second and I didn't have any money to pay the worker at the cake stall but this weird guy behind me gave 50,000 won for everything. How cool is that? This guy is really my type. Huhuhuhu, too bad I might never meet him again TT. But if fate calls it and I end up meeting him again, I'm going to repay him with everything I have! This is a promise and this entry is my witness.

As Saebyeol was resting near the pool after a swim reading one of the books from her father's extended library, a paper bag came into her sight of vision.

"I got you your cakes and I don't know why you insist that I get them for you when there is an army of men more than willing to lose a limb for you working for us." The elder said as he sat at the foot of the sunbed she was sitting on. She took the paper bag and took a piece out. She bit into it and savoured the taste.

"They always get my order wrong. I'm tired of telling them the same things over and over." She broke a piece off from the cake she was eating and held it in front of the man's mouth. He ate it silently, slowly swallowing. "You look so creepy like this, why can't you just dress normally?" The man took the black hooded jacket he previously had on and ruffled his hair. 

"Wouldn't want to compromise my identity." He said sarcastically as he asked her for another piece of the vanilla cake she was eating. She broke another piece and fed it to him.

"Bull. You just don't want to run into him again, right Seunghyun?" He snatched the paper bag out of her hand, taking more cake out of the bag. 

"Shut up."

"Hey, I understand. He was a jerk anyway. Sorry I brought it up." He looked at his sister and handed her back the bag. "So, anything happened while you were getting cake?"

"This chick in front of me had no money or something. She annoyed the hell out of me so I ended up paying for her."

"Was she pretty?" Saebyeol asked with full.

"Didn't really see her because I needed to pee and she was wasting my time."

"Ew, TMI." She said as she kicked his side with her foot.

"Get your disgusting foot away from me. I don't know why I bother doing these things for you when you treat me like this."

"Because you love me." Saebyeol batted her eyelashes at her brother.

"Um, gross." He said as he stood up and left Saebyeol alone.

A/N:

This chapter was so short and I was really uninspired to write this because I didn't know what to write HAHA. But congrats to Yerim a.k.a CrazyLady22! Only "The Unintelligble Scholar" hasn't been applied by anyone yet (which makes me kinda sad tbh HAHA) but I'm still really happy and touched by the attention that this fic has been receiving. We're almost done with finding out all the characters in this story and this fic will probably officially start mid-January! I will be missing from the 29th to the 2nd because I'm going off to Laos so I don't think I would be able to update without the presence of a laptop/desktop.
