About the Copycat Site

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I wrote a post since I've been working on something for AFF these past couple of weeks so it's unfortunate that I have to write about something like this instead of good news. I've been informed that another site is also calling itself "Asianfanfics" and some authors have reported seeing their work reposted there. I have already filed the appropriate complaints and legal paperwork regarding their trademark infringement in order to protect your work from being infringed upon and to protect our members' accounts in case one of our members tries to log in to their site using their credentials and that other site is recording their details. Their webhost is in Malaysia so it will take a bit of time to sort things out with them but we'll see where it goes from here. I haven't mentioned their url here since I don't want search engines to give them any more publicity but If this isn't resolved within a few weeks, I'll write another post detailing our next steps and what you can do if you, as an author, is directly affected by having your work re-posted there. If your work is directly affected by this, don't worry, we'll get this sorted out.

So i was just curious if this site was still going on or if anything happened with this, but it seems that when you type in the url, it actually re-directs you to another site called kiss-novel.com.
so i'm not sure if it's still the same people or not, but i'm really hoping that everything go settled!

Same issue happened to me in the new year when my posted my newest story a few days ago.
One of my readers discovered my story was up on that site and linked me to this blog.
I've done the steps you mentioned above, and gave my story URL on this website to them.
However, Google emailed me and said 'It is unclear to us whether or not you are the authorized copyright agent for the content in question'
So how could I prove myself? TT

I didn't even know about this issue until one of my readers reported that two of my stories were on that website. I followed all the steps and everything. Hopefully, this will help resolve the situation faster!

I was told that my story was up on that site and a reader linked me to this blog!
Thanks, Jason. I've followed your instructions and sent everything in. Hopefully the site will be put down - it's not nice to have your own hard work plagiarised!!

everyone, please make sure to do this if it's related to you.
copycats , but having things taken from you when you're the original content creator is a major headache.

How do we find out if our stuff has been stolen, will it pop up on that plagiarized link that you have set up? or is there another way? What is the site that has taken our stuff?

I completed everything but the middle one because for some reason, the site is unable to recognize the infringing domain. Thank you so much for taking care of this!

Thanks for finding out all this information for us. I just finished reporting both of my stories that ended up on that site. I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything.
