Hey everyone! Hope your holidays have all been going well. I haven't been able to write my usual customary holiday blog posts lately since I've had a cold for a weirdly long time (months!) and I just got surgery recently and I just didn't feel like getting on a computer for a good long while lol.

However, I've been noticing that the site has been going down by around 30-45 minutes a day over the last few weeks or so at pretty consistent times due to an influx of traffic. I upgraded the main server today which normally only takes around 5 minutes of downtime but it was a little more complicated this time around so apologies for the longer downtime. I'll be checking it out tomorrow to see if it's big enough to handle the traffic and keep the site from going down.

It's almost the New Year and I've got a bit of optimism for 2024. As a New Year's resolution for myself, I'm going to start working on the AFF code again because it's about time I rewrote some stuff to make the site work faster (after I heal first!). I'd love to know what all of you are looking forward to for the new year in the comments. I've just been stuck in bed for a while and most of what I got to do was just reading your messages to me but couldn't reply to yet I really liked reading most of them.
