"I know we met before, and It wasn't really in a proper situation, but..." Minjeong bowed at a ninety-degree angle while facing her girlfriend's parents, "It's nice to meet you. I'm Kim Minjeong."

Looking at Minjeong, Jimin chuckled. "You don't need to be so formal."

Jimin's mother laughed lightly, "She's right. Or else, I might confuse this as something like you're asking for her hand in marriage."

It was evident that she got flustered, and Minjeong couldn't help but laugh. This was noticed by Yu Sumin, Jimin's father. He looked the same since Minjeong last saw him back in Jeju when they were filming for episode two.

Speaking of Jimin's father, Minjeong recalled briefly meeting Jimin's mother when she encountered the saesangs back at her old apartment. Jimin's parents drove her to the police station to take care of the situation quietly.

Jimin's mother approached the shorter. She smiled at her, and Minjeong felt a motherly sensation take over.

"I'm Yu Jihae. And if you want, you can call me mom."

She winked, and Minjeong raised her brows. It seemed like the latter was giving her signals... or was she only joking? Minjeong couldn't be sure, but she only went along with it and looked at her girlfriend, who looked as red as a strawberry.

Jimin didn't want the situation to grow. Hence, pushed her parents toward the kitchen and told the shorter to make herself feel at home.

"Mom, I love you... but you gotta stop embarrassing me!"

Minjeong giggled at the voice that echoed through the corridors. Jimin sounded humiliated. And once the living room was empty, silence engulfed the surroundings.

Because she was standing inside Jimin's childhood home, multiple photos of the latter displayed on the nearby desks and hanging on the wall were unavoidable. The house was big, so there was a ton of them. Minjeong looked at these photos, smiling at them fondly.

There was one particular photo that caught her attention. It was a photo of Jimin winning first place in a dance competition that aired on tv. She looked at it in awe, thinking how much the latter had accomplished.

Meanwhile, all Minjeong could remember was how she was roaming around the streets until an orphanage took her in. She pouted at the thought and quickly disregarded the idea by shaking her head.

"Enjoying?"

Minjeong suddenly heard Jimin's voice next to her and turned. She was also looking at the photo yet, with a bitter expression.

"I was seven years old there, and it was the best day of my life."

Minjeong looked at the photo and nodded, "Wow, you must've accomplished so much."

"I did." Jimin stretched her arms, "But that age was the worst. I learned what reality really is."

"Hmm?"

"Back at the cafe. I told you about my grandfather, right? He's the one who taught me how to dance, and it became my passion ever since. But, that was also the very day I discovered he's been exploiting me."

"When you won first place?"

Jimin nods sadly, "My mother's side has been on the poor side. I always looked up to my grandfather as a master. You know, like master Shifu in kung fu panda? He honed my potential in dancing, and we used to dance together all the time. I thought that was it."

There was a short pause.

"He was a kind old man. I had so much fun with him that I kind of missed it. However, I was blinded by all of the good things in life that I didn't notice the bad ones. Because, in truth, he was only doing it for the money."

Minjeong pouted her lips and hugged the latter, "Was that one of the cases you started becoming anxious when dancing around people? Lost confidence?"

Jimin only smiled and tightly wrapped her arms around her girlfriend, "Ahhh~ What could've happened to me if I didn't have you?" she sighed.

"Eliminated?"

With a pouting face, Jimin pulled away from the hug and cupped the latter's cheeks. "Brutal. You're brutal."

Minjeong looked at her momentarily before caressing the hands on her cheeks and putting them down, laughing. Unexpectedly, she placed Jimin's hand on her shoulder and the other clasped to hers.

As Jimin's eyes grew, she could've sworn her heart tingled there for a second. "What are you doing?"

Smiling, Minjeong placed her free hand on Jimin's hip. "Just follow my lead."
