It was a now-or-never situation since tomorrow was the day we would perform our second task. It's nerve-wracking. And unlike the first time, it still felt new to me so I had nothing to worry about the tiniest of mistakes because there was a reason.

But now, the second time? If any of us were to make any mistakes, getting backlash would be inevitable. Furthermore, if I failed any of the conditions— I had to risk one of my stats going back to zero.

Gee, talk about getting an F-. I'm thankful enough to not get my whooped if you know what I mean.

Anyway, which is why I decided to avoid the cameras later once it was time to sleep. I know it's a big day tomorrow, but I'm too nervous to fall asleep and I need to take a breather.

So, when we finished the last hour of practice, with towels around our necks, we cleaned up and immediately lay down on our beds.

I waited at least an hour for them to make sure they had fallen asleep before quietly climbing down the bunk and entering the living room. Then, grasping the doorknob, I silently turned it and opened it.

"Where are you going?"

Deja vu.

Trying to not look suspicious, I calmly turned around and saw Yizhuo who had a bar of chocolate in her hand. That's when a smirk appeared on my face. I was so sure that she was tucked on her bed and obviously, that wasn't the case.

"So, pillows were under the blanket, huh?"

Yizhuo chuckled, "And I'm guessing this is what you normally do?"

"Nope, this is the second time."

"Where are you going anyway?" She asked as she took the last bite of her chocolate.

"What? You wanna come?"

Giving her a wink, Yizhuo fell into an interested smile and after a moment of silence, she nodded her head. Immediately, she picked up her hoodie from the couch and wore it.

I waited for her to step out before trailing behind and closing the door.

When we were now walking through the dark hallways, quietly avoiding the cameras, we were met by Aeri and Jimin who appeared to be going down the stairs. We were going to step up and go up a floor, but seeing them together like this was rather suspicious.

Aeri glanced at the camera, "This is weird... Seeing you two together."

Yizhuo gazed at her and snickered, "You too, Aeri."

"We went up for snacks."

The two of them were talking in a hushed tone. Then, as I shift my eyes to look at Jimin, she was looking at me with questionable eyes. I could see her glancing at Yizhuo as well, though that's probably nothing odd.

"You two going out...?" Jimin cleared , "Sneaking again, I mean."

Aeri was confused for a second, then caught up with a small gasp. "You're going to sneak out?!" she exclaimed quietly. "You're going to get in trouble if someone sees!"

"Well, we won't get in trouble unless you tell the staff about it."

Aeri's eyes grew, "Wow, you even convinced the Ning Yizhuo."

"You're making me sound like a deity." Yizhuo laughed as she gave Aeri a playful push, "I don't mind a little mischief."

Jimin sighed, "Anyway, I can't let the two of you alone— it's dangerous. Baby, I'm coming." she squinted her eyes and I shrugged.

Somehow, hearing her that she wanted to come puts a smile on my face. "Actually, I'd like that."

"Good."

Just then, I noticed Aeri who started to flicker her eyes from Yizhuo to me and Jimin. She only smiled at the situation and motioned her hands upstairs where we were supposed to go.

"Of course, I'm coming too!"

And that brings us to the present. The four of us were now walking toward the fire exit that was situated at the very end of the second-floor hallway. Everyone was skeptical of my route until I told them that this was the less suspicious approach since the cafeteria was here.

We had no curfew and that was awesome. If staff were to ask us why we were up so late, we can give them a reason that the four of us got hungry and ate together. It was the same reason I and Jimin had last time.

Although, the staff didn't seem to look at us suspiciously. Still, it's better to be ready for what results to come.

As for the fire exit, instead of spending time outside, I wanted to hang around the rooftop and calm myself by gazing at the stars. I and my old woman used to do this often, so surely, that would help my nerves.

We're only taking the second floor for three reasons. First, because of the cafeteria. Second, we don't really have a choice since this floor's fire exit was the only one unlocked. And lastly, that route had no cameras.

How did I know that? Of course, it's the system!
