As I open the door, I saw my mom. Staring at something.

She had been always like this eversince my dad left us for another girl.

Sad.

Desperate.

Miserable.


"Omma" I called.

"Oh, Yoona." She looked at me.

"You okay?"

"Neh. Hungry? I prepared kimbap and ramen."

I settled myself on the chair and started to it.

"Did you have fun with Taeyeon and Seohyun yesterday?"

"Neh. We watched movie and played some interesting games."

"That's good." She remarked then looked at the clock.

"Oh, I already need to leave for work. You gonna be okay?"

I nodded and she went off.

I washed the dishes and went straight to my room. I lied down on my bed, closed my eyes then fell asleep.



"Ahhhh!" I can hear my mom screaming.Curious, I half opened my door and peeped only to see my parents fighting.

"How could you? How could you? How could you!?!" My mom shouted, beating my father's shoulder.

He(my father) caught and clutched(as I can see) her arms. "Stop!" He screamed at her face.

"I don't love you anymore. I'm leaving" Those are the last words my father said. He left my mom sitting on the floor. Crying.

He left us just like that. Like we are not his family. Like my mother is not his wife. Like I am not his daughter. Just like that.

"Omma?" I called.

"Yoona." I went near her. She hugged me tightly.

"Omma? Is appa going back?" I asked innocently.

She moved her head sidewards. "No, my dear. He already left us."



"Yoona. Yoona"

I opened my eyes.

"Phew, what a dream?" I asked myself.

"Yoona.Yoona" I heard someone call. I checked who was it. I saw Taeyeon unnie. Alone.

I went downstairs to open the door.

"Unnie, Hi."

"Hi Yoong."

"What are you doing here?"

"Why? You don't want me here? Am I disturbing you or something?" She asked.

"No you're not disturbing. I want you here. But where is Seororo?"

"Out. She went out with our childhood friend. He just arrived that's why she needs to accompany and tour him around Seoul."

"Without you?"

"I want her to spend sometime alone with him since she's the one who misses him a lot."

I just nodded.

"Want to grab some icecream?" I asked.

"Sure." She replied.

We went to the icecream parlour then ate our orders. Unnie said she needs to do some groceries so I accompanied her.

"Lard. Lard. Lard" Unnie is searching for lard. She loves to bake that's why she needs it.

"Oh, there it is." We went to the section of lards to get some. Beside the rack of lards are the rack of different flours.I left the cart with unnie then take a look at the flours, wondering if I can ask unnie to teach me how to bake different pastries. I walk onwards


Then.

Boom.

"Miss? Miss? Are you okay?" A man asked me. He helped me to stand.

"Mianhae. I am not looking on my way." He said.

"I'm fine don't worry."

"You sure?"

"Neh."

"Yoona, what do you think is better? This one or this?" Taeyeon unnie asked. Unaware of what happened.

She saw the guy and said "Oops, sorry for interupting."

"This one, unnie" I answered her question earlier.

"Your sister?" The man asked.

"Chingu." I replied.

"Mianhae, for harming your friend." He said to unnie.

"For what?" Unnie asked using her scary(for me) voice.

"Oh,nothing unnie. He just hit me accidentaly." I whispered to her ear using my softest voice(so that the man wouldn't hear) with emphasizing the word accidentaly.

"Hit you?" Unnie's voiced became louder.

"Uhm, Mianhae." The man said.

Unnie shot him a glare. "No one is-"

I cut unnie off. "Annyeong, mister."

I pulled her(unnie) as fast as I can before she does something with the man.

We paid in the cashier then went home.
