Park Jimin: jinnie hyung is already sound asleep, we three should too

Jung Hoseok: aye, kids. yoongi hyung is also deep asleep.

Jung Hoseok: we blew his notifs while he's dead to the world.

Jung Hoseok: we all dead.

Jung Hoseok: Anw, good night jimin-ah and taehyungie :D

Kim Taehyung: good night, hyungie ~ :D

Park Jimin: good night, hoseok hyung. tae, come here now, pls

Jimin sighed, locking his phone before placing the electronic on his bedside table when he heard Taehyung’s feet lightly padding on the floor towards his bed. It’s as if the young boy’s afraid to create any noise for Jimin to hear.

Jimin didn’t say anything about it though and just patted the small space on his right when he saw Taehyung’s frame standing beside his bed, squirming further towards the wall to create much space for the other before he felt his best friend’s warmth under his blanket; long limbs automatically circling around his small frame like a cocoon.

The bed seems too small for two grown up men but Jimin doesn’t mind. He loves it when he can feel his best friend’s warmth near and around his body. It’s cramped but the feeling’s too comfortable to shove it away from him.

“Bad dreams again?” he softly asks; right arm carefully snaking under Taehyung’s head, placing nimble fingers to card at the now lavender strands of the boy. It’s weird but if it’s what Taehyung wants then Jimin doesn’t have the heart to tell him to change it back to black.

Taehyung makes a noise of agreement under his breath, sound muffled by the material of Jimin’s shirt after shoving his face further on the older’s chest. The extra warmth from Jimin seems to help calm him down. He slowly closed his eyes to avoid roaming around the dark cold room. Jimin once said that monsters aren’t real, but they still chase after him in his dreams – a bad one.

The older boy sighs, peeking under his lashes to study the other’s face. It’s still dark inside the room but he can clearly see that Taehyung has his eyes firmly closed, and he can feel the warm breath fanning his chest from the lips slightly parted.

He hates it when the younger’s sleep was interrupted by the occasional bad dreams from watching too much horror movies right before they hit the bed and sleep. He hates it when his own sleep was interrupted by something, like his phone buzzing at stupid-o’clock for some lame unimportant messages, or when Taehyung suddenly plops down his bed unceremoniously to scream – right beside his ears – how good the manga chapter he’s reading and then talks animatedly ‘til the sleep ditched him completely to leave him like a walking dead the next day.

But if it’s Taehyung, he thinks, he doesn’t mind. At all.

He loops his free arm on the other’s torso and gently pull the body closer to his – if that’s even possible; planting a barely there kiss on the other’s fringe and whispering air of assurances. He knows the younger better and hopes his words still does their job in calming the other. He can still feel the subtle shake of the frame he’s holding but remain silent about it.

“You should just sneak in my bed again than wakes everybody in the group chat. You can always do that, I don’t mind.”

“But I don’t want to disturb you.” Taehyung almost whines.

“I said I don’t mind, Taetae.” Jimin pushed, resting his chin on the crown of Taehyung’s head.

“But you’re too drained from your baseball practice.”

“If it’s you, I don’t mind.”
