(Tao's POV)

It wasn't very hard finding Baekhyun's house because it was only a few minutes from mine and I had spent basically all of my childhood playing with him, Chanyeol, and Kai in that home.

My mom stopped her car in front of their driveway and turned to me,

"Zitao, are you sure you want to do this?" I saw the worry in her tired eyes,

"Yes umma, I have no choice and plus his parents are there and I don't think they'd let him go too far," I reassured her,

"Okay, call me if you need to be picked up,"

"Okay umma," I called to her as I stepped out of the passengers side and made my way to the wooden front door. I timidly knocked, expecting an extremely awkward scene to come into play, but I was immediately greeted by the open arms of Baekhyun's mother,

"Tao!" she shouted cheerfully why was she so happy to see her son's enemy? Even if we had been friends years ago, didn't Baekhyun tell her what had happened?

"Hello, Mrs. Byun." I said, bowing politely. I shook his father's hand making sure to muster a fake smile to hide my confusion and nervousness about the situation.

"It's been so long! Come in, make yourself at home! Baekhyun should be in his room." I hesitantly took a seat on their black, leather couch as his mother went to go find Baekhyun. After knocking on his bedroom door and quickly muttering something to her son she quickly motioned for me to come over. As I stood in the door way he smiled at me and ran his hand through his hair, god he is weird. "You two, get some work done!" she said as she closed the door.

Baekhyun sat down on his desk chair, but I definitely wasn't comfortable sitting on anything in his room so I decided to stand,

"Hey" he interrupted the silence that I was so much enjoying

"Okay, let's get to work I said, purposely diverting his attempted conversation,

"Um, okay?" He seemed disappointed that we finally had to do something. He pulled out the Tupperware container with the bugs that had been previously sprayed with the pesticides as I swallowed the urge to gag, we spent a few minute in silence as we gathered and recorded our observations,

"So why have you been so sad lately?" He interrupted my alone time yet again, wait, since when have I been acting sad? And since when had Baekhyun cared enough to notice?

 "What?" I was kind of embarrassed that he would even ask about something so personal, "wait. Why are you asking this? Why have you been so nice?" I asked, disgusted, only kind of trying to change the subject,

"I was just wondering! Don't accuse me of anything like being nice! I am just trying to work with you!" This idiot,

"You're being ridiculous! I have seen how you have been acting around me lately." I said, realizing how angry I sounded.

"I don't know what's wrong with me," He mumbled, barely audible. I assumed
