Chapter 5
Things Change(Baekhyun's POV)
I caught a ride home in Kai's BMW. Once I got home, I quickly slipped off my shoes by the door and ran to my room so I my mom wouldn't talk to me about school. I looked into the mirror before I stopped in my room. Did I look like a mess all day? I was tired, I threw my tired self onto my bed. I cuddled into the light knit blanket laying on my bed with me. I couldn't let this moment pass by, so I took a nap. Spring Break was coming up, and that means exams. I would much rather sleep than study.
"Baekhyun! I didn't even know you were home, come and eat dinner sweetie!" My mom shook me awake. I wiped my drooling mouth and stretched my arms to the side. I sat up and kicked the blanket off my body and walked to the dining room.
"So, how was school, you two?" I shrugged and looked over at my younger sister. She rolled her eyes and piped up.
"It was great, umma! I aced my math test and turned in my essay for english!" Seungyeon bragged. I glared at her from across the table and reached with my chopsticks for the rice my mom had made.
"Well done! Baekhyun, how was your school day?" I took in a deep breath and looked everywhere in the room to not make eye contact with my mom. She would be able to tell that I don't want to talk.
"Well, I didn't have such a bad day, it was I guess a bit better than most days though." I shrugged once again. My answer didn't make much sense.
"Cool..." my mom pretended she contained interest. I ate quickly so I could sleep more. Since I definitely had a hangover from last night. I tried not to show it.
