Nightmare Night

Collection of broken dreams

the room was dark. not a single source of light was present. he couldn't even tell if his eyes were open or if they were closed. he stood up and walked forward in hopes to find some sort of wall to hold on to.  as he continued to walk he heard a strange but familiar voice fill the room. ‘where are you going Yin?’ yin was startled by the voice. ‘who are you?’  he shouted. the voice giggled and said, ‘oh yin, how do you not know me?’ confused and scared yin began to run. he ran as fast as he could until he bumped into something. a wall. yin groaned as he stood up and turned around. when he turned he saw a small lamp on the far left of the room. yin ran as fast as he could to the lamp. ‘yin what are you doing silly goose?’ he picked up the lamp and saw a small engraving on the lamp. you can't escape me Yin. he gasped as the lamp turned into ice. ‘what the hell?’ ‘Yin you silly banana what are you up to?’ the voice sounded closer this time. ‘show yourself , please, don’t be afraid’ he started. ‘oh i’m not afraid but, you should be’ then yin felt a cold breeze brush against him. he turned around and saw a small wave of blue surrounding him. ‘come to me yin’ the wave led him across the room. ‘rule the night with me’ the wave led him to a small door. he turned the knob and light flooded his vision. ‘together we can create eternal night’ he started down a long crystal corridor. ‘yin come to my kingdom’ he reached a large circular room with glass furniture. ‘yin’ he walked across the room and examined each thing he saw. he suddenly stopped in front of the large glass grand piano. he started at it in awe. ‘what is this place?’ he murmured to himself. ‘welcome yin.’ he snapped his head to see a woman. ‘who are you?’ he said, his tone cold. the woman hummed and looked up. ‘i am the princess of the night’ yin studied the features of the woman before him. ‘tylynn is that you?’ tylynn smiled and nodded, eyes starting to fill up with tears. ‘yes it is yin’ yin looked at her and tears ran down his cheeks. lynn took a step forward , placed a hand on his left cheek and smiled. ‘ i missed you.’ yin grinned. ‘ i missed you too tylynn’ they laughed together as they wrapped their arms around each other. when they separated yin looked around the castle. ‘so this is where the stained glass sent you?’ he said as he set his eyes on the circular window. ‘ yeah, its what is inside the window.’ he laughed. ‘who knew a castle would be inside a simple glass window.’ he continued to stare at the familiar window. ‘yeah huh’ yin smiled at her but his smile soon faded as he noticed something in the window. ‘the colors are wrong.’ tylynn looked at him puzzled. ‘ what do you mean?’ ‘the colors used for the stained glass are wrong. they were all blues and greens before.’ tylynn looked at the floor. ‘yeah but that's what it was like before i was sent here. my element of magic turned the colors into a rainbow. my alicorn magic doesn’t work here’ yin looked at her in disbelief. ‘what do you mean doesn’t work? isn’t your alicorn magic the most powerful?’ ‘i thought so too but either it stopped working or both the elements of harmony and unity aren’t being activated.’ he gasps ‘what?!’ ‘well mr. hyun suk told me that when the element of magic leaves the universe that the other elements are in then….’ she takes a deep breath. ‘the power of the elements lose their actual purpose.’ yin gaped at the statement. ‘what do you mean by that?’ tylynn looked at him with a worried expression. ‘ hakyeon's element of loyalty turns into betrayal, sharleen’s turns from kindness into rudeness, taiz’s laughter is now depression, yao’s honesty is not deception and your generosity will be greed yin. thats what this means.’ tears were now falling down tylynn’s face. ‘but what about your element tylynn? or the power within exo?’ ‘ im not sure what will happen to the power of unity but my element becomes-’ she starts to cry. ‘ what does it become lynn?’ she continues to cry harder. ‘ tylynn say something. lynn plea-’ ‘it becomes discord yin.’ she said raising her voice. ‘my element will become discord.’ yin was left speechless. how could her power of togetherness become discord? all that happened was she was captured in the stained glass window. he thought. he took another look at tylynn’s state. then he remembered the day the window trapped tylynn inside.

'lynn put the window down it will be fine.’ ‘ NO the window is mine to protect! i cannot let it go!’ ‘Yang Tylynn put that window down and take my hand’ ‘i can’t yin.’ ‘what do you mean you can’t?!’ ‘ my hands can’t let go! Yin help me!’ he watched as a blue shadow came out of the window. he watched as the shadow wrapped around her figure and pulled her into the window. 'Yin!!' she screamed his name over and over again. 'Tylynn!' he screamed her name as he reached out to grab her hand. she stretched out to hold his hand in hopes to be set free. their hands met halfway as yin tried to pull her away. but in the end it was no use. the shadowy figure pulled her into the circular window. the last thing that could be heard was lynn’s scream and the sound of the window hit the ground.  yin never cried so hard in his life.

tylynn stopped crying as a crackling sound reached her ears. yin looked around the room until his eyes fell on the window. 'yin what was that?' Yin felt his stomach turn as he saw the color drain out of the window. 'Tylynn the windows broken'
