“ Noooooooooooo” Jiyeon woke up in the middle of the night and found herself in darkness of her room, she abruptly sat up reaching out for lamp switch on bedhead for source of the light to sweep away her fear , Jiyeon shook her head trying to shake off the picture of the nightmare that seemed so real and made her shiver. Although Jiyeon was relieved when she got a phone call from her sister after almost a month of disappearing, still she couldn’t help but worried when she tried to call back the number but couldn’t reach her, worse part of this it seemed Hyomin suspected a relationship between her and Qri, she wished she could explain to her sister and let her know that she would never betray her sister, ever again. Speaking of Qri, the older girl always came by and checked on her everyday even though Jiyeon tried to push her away, but Qri didn’t give up on her and became more and more persistent.

“ Unnie, please come back home and give me chance to make things up for you” Jiyeon mumbled to no one but herself, single tear threatened to fall, her weakness attacked her hard and she let her tear flow freely, hoping it would help lessen the heavy heart and quilt that has been eating her.

 Eunjung had a difficult time opening her eyes with the pain on her head, but after a few attempt, she succeeded doing so, adjusting her eyes to unfamiliar surroundings, out of instinct, Eunjung alarmingly got up and cautiously looked around, it was a wooden cottage, she didn’t recall having been here before, she felt heavy in her arm, looking down on it, she found her arm was hung in robe tied to her neck for support, it didn’t take her long to figure out that she had a broken arm, fighting with the pain on her head , Eunjung started to recall story and started to put thing into pieces, the last picture that she could remember was she tried to lose a chasing car then a truck came from the opposite way on a curve road, shocked, she was dodging the car, avoided the hit, they didn’t get hit but instead the car was falling from the cliff into the river.

“How did I end up here?” Eunjung thought, but before she could figure it out, she heard a voice which broke her thought.

“I thought you would sleep forever” a familiar voice came, with an appearance of none other than a girl she hated the most, Hyomin. Surprised as well as relieved to find both of them still alive.

“Where are we?” Eunjung asked coldly, collected herself.

 “Wish I could tell you” Hyomin answered calmingly, walking inside with a bowl of boiled rice.

“You mean you don’t know where we are” Eunjung said, irritated, and not satisfied with the answer.

“Yeah” Hyomin answered shortly before placing down a bowl

 “How did we end up here then? We fell off the cliff and to the river, how can we survive?” Eunjung was impatient. Hyomin looked at Eunjung with weary eyes, as soon as this Satan woke up, she started to rip off her peace.

“ I can’t remember all detailed of what happened after we came clashing down to river, we were struggling to get out of the sinking car and we did it but after that it was all blank for me” Hyomin recalled wearily, a bit irritated at the girl who just woke up “ We were found at the river bank by a couple living miles away from there, they saved us and brought us here in their house in the middle of nowhere which I don’t know where it is” Hyomin finished, Eunjung listened and tried to patch things up in her mind. Then she noticed Hyomin’s hand which was wrapped in white clothes.

Flashback

Car was sinking down into the river, with the impact the car hit the water, the car system worked its way to send out airbag to lessen the impact, fortunately Eunjung and Hyomin were both conscious, they tried their best to get out of the car, Eunjung was trying to unbuckle her seatbelt while Hyomin was quicker, she unbuckled and unlocked the car door on her side and kicked herself out of the sinking car, and started swimming, she looked back but didn’t see Eunjung getting out of the car, for a moment, Hyomin thought it was better that way, so she was going to continue swimming into water surface but then her humanity got a better of her, she turned around and made her way back to the sinking car, she saw Eunjung struggling on unbuckling her seat belt, Hyomin tried to open the car door on Eunjung’s side but it was locked, Eunjung was mouthing that she was trapped inside, without a second thought, Hyomin tried to break the glass window with her punch and tried to unlock the door for Eunjung, with random touch on the door button, the car door finally opened and Eunjung quickly jumped out of the car, both of them were swimming to the water surface for air, they made it and tried to swim until their last strength.

“I passed out for two days and you were sleeping for five days now, apparently I’m tougher than you” Hyomin smirked. 

“Tougher?”  Eunjung looked displeased with Hyomin’s comment.

“I guess so” Hyomin said before getting up on her feet.

“Where are you going?” Eunjung asked alert as soon as she saw Hyomin made a move.

“I’m going to let Mr. and Mrs. Kang know that you finally woke up”

“Are they our saviors ?” Eunjung asked

“Yeah, they are” Hyomin stopped to anwer.

“Eat your boiled rice” Hyomin told her and Eunjung looked down on her broken arm

“Don’t you expect me to feed you huh?” Hyomin teased

“No, I’m fine” Eunjung tried to stay cool.

“ Good, cause I’m not going to feed you anyway” Hyomin walked away before Eunjung had the time to fight back.

Shortly, Hyomin came back with the couple, they flashed Eunjung with their sincere smile, and Eunjung thanked them for saving her life. Eunjung found out that the couple were the only people living in this remote area, Mr.and Mrs.Kang made a living by cultivating and farming, they lived their simple life outside the busy world in their small Korean traditional wooden house with an extra room where sheltered Eunjung and Hyomin while they were unconscious. With their survival skills, they took care of them until Hyomin was first back into her consciousness and helped them to look after Eunjung.  

“How can we go back town uncle Kang?” Eunjung asked the middle man

“Twice a week?” Eunjung was very patient type.

“Yeah, there will be one in a new few days” He confirmed

“How far is it from here to the river?” Eunjung was curious

 “Around 120 km” the middle age lady answered.

 “120 km?” Eunjung widened her eyes

“You have the same reaction as your friend when she found out” Mr.Kang looked at Hyomin then laughed.

“I’m so thankful that uncle and aunty managed to bring us here and cured us” Hyomin gave them a grateful smile.

“Wait, how could you bring us here?” Eunjung was confused.

“They put us into their small tractor” Hyomin told Eunjung. Eunjung narrowed her eyes, it sounded like a different world to her.

“May I borrow your phone?” Eunjung requested, which made uncle and aunty Kang smiled.

“We don’t have one here” a middle aged lady answered warmly.

“You should be grateful that you are alive” Hyomin sarcastically commented which earned a glare from Eunjung.

 “Please accept my apology for my friend, she is spoiled way too much” Hyomin bowed to the elders.

“I’m not, I just wanted to contact my people” Eunjung spat.

“It could be understood, you must have been living in world where technology is everything” Uncle Kang commented smartly.

“I’m sorry I was just wanted to contact home, I’m so thankful to you for helping us” Eunjung explained.

“It’s miracle that you girls could make it” aunty Kang smiled reminiscing the moment they found them laid breathing slowly in the river bank.

“Don’t worry ladies, we will try to get you sent to riverbank and go back home once you get better and ready to take a journey on a rough road for a few hours on tractor” uncle Kang comforted.

After getting to know each other, the couple left Eunjung and Hyomin all alone in the house to go to their farm while Hyomin tried
