Things were getting heated between you and Taehyung, but you pulled away when you heard a knock at the door

“Can I come in ___?” You heard Jungkook’s voice

After glancing at Taehyung you called back a yes

The door opened and Jungkook walked in with some food and water

“Jin made this for you. He said that you have to eat it. And I bumped into Hoseok and he said he would be coming in a little while to change your bandages.”

You smiled and took the food from Jungkook, “Thank you.”

He smiled back slightly and turned to walk out

“Wait Jungkook.” You heard Taehyung call him as you bit into the sandwich you received

“I was about to leave. You can stay if you want.” Taehyung got up and walked over to Jungkook, patting him on the shoulder and winking at you before walking out

Jungkook looked at the now closed door then came and sat by you

“How are you feeling?” He spoke when you gulped down some water

“Better I guess. The pain subsided after Hoseok put that weird green liquid on.”

Jungkook nodded and the room went into an awkward silence

You continued eating your sandwich quietly because you were at a complete loss as to what you could talk to Jungkook about

As you were about to open your mouth, Jungkook started speaking

“You’re probably wondering why I’m so distant and disconnected from everyone. Why I’m so quiet and reserved.”

He looked over at you and you nodded, unsure of what Jungkook was saying

“Taehyung told you his past just now right?”

Your eyes widened and Jungkook chuckled, “I was standing outside.”

You blinked slowly

“I heard about yours too.”

You stayed quiet

Jungkook looked down, “My past is probably worse than Taehyung and Jimin’s. But I don’t think I can share it with you yet. I want to, but I’m not ready.”

“You don’t have to rush. I’m in no hurry. I just want to understand you guys better, really.” You finally spoke up

Jungkook looked at you again and smiled. Your heart burst at it. His smile was so cute

You reached out and pushed Jungkook’s hair out of his face. He blushed at the action

“Jungkook, did you have siblings?” You questioned him

He shook his head, “I don’t know.”

You put your food down and scooted closer to him, “Did you ever want them?”

He looked at you questionably, “I’m not sure. The others are as close to family I can have, but that’s about it. I don’t know what it would be like to have a family. A normal life.”

You brushed your hand through his hair and gazed at him with a smile, “Can I be like an older sister to you?”

Jungkook’s eyes widened

“Can I act as a small normal part of your life in this setting? Can I make you feel like how a normal seventeen year old boy should feel?” You continued

You saw Jungkook’s eyes glaze over and you rubbed his back

“I’m going to admit, I felt some sort of fondness and a closeness to you. I felt like you needed something different. I mean look at how young you are.”

Jungkook looked into his lap and nodded slowly

Your eyes brightened, “Really?”

He nodded again and you hugged him tightly

“I’m going to take care of you. Just you watch me.”

You pulled away and laughed at his blushing face. Making a serious face you grabbed Jungkook’s hand, “Jungkook, if you ever need anything. Someone to talk to, rant to, cry to, or just be with, come to me.”

You looked into his eyes with the most sincerity you could

“Thank you ___.” He smiled his smile again

You smiled back and let go of his hand

Jungkook was about to get up, but there was another knock at the door

“Is everyone just going to come one by one today? Come in!” You laughed and sat back

Hoseok walked through the door with a bag in his hand and a smile on his face, “Doctor Hoseok here.”

You laughed and kicked out at him, “Please. You’re no doctor. Not with those oddly coloured liquids you have.”

Jungkook got up to let Hoseok sit beside you

“I am as close as a doctor you can get around here. Now, let me see your feet.” He put his bag down and opened it

You stuck out your feet and grimaced when the bag opened to reveal purple liquids this time

“Hoseok please, why are your medicines weird colours.” You almost pulled your feet back but Hoseok grabbed them and smiled

“Because they’re dangerous if used wrongly.”

Your eyes turned to saucers as Hoseok laughed loudly and pulled out scissors from his bag and cut the bandages on your feet

“Jungkook I’m going to need some help. I need you to wrap the bandages as fast as you can when I tell you too. Be fast and accurate. This is can explode if there’s a long enough reaction with oxygen.”

You choked on your spit when Hoseok said that.

“Hoseok are you sure you’re not trying to kill me?” You tried again to pull your feet away but to no avail

You saw Jungkook gulp before agreeing

“Hoseok are you sure about this?” You tried your best to not go forward with this

“Yes I’m sure. By tomorrow you should be feeling a whole lot better.”

You sighed and let him continue, “I never thought I would die by something that is supposed to help me.”

“You have no faith in me!” Hoseok laughed again and stood up with the bottle

You rolled your eyes and leaned back to give the two boys more room to navigate

“Alright Jungkook get ready.”

Jungkook nodded and moved near your foot with the roll of bandages

“I think I’m going to pass out.” You blurted out when Hoseok got closer

“Please don’t.” Jungkook’s eyes widened and you had to laugh, he was more nervous than you

“Alright.” Hoseok tipped the bottle and let some drip on your foot, “Jungkook!”

Jungkook moved immediately and covered your feet

You sighed when Hoseok smiled and gave you a thumbs up before moving on to the rest of the wounds

When Hoseok was finished he patted your head and left, leaving you and Jungkook alone again

“I think I’ll go too. Sleep tight ___.” Jungkook helped you into bed and turned off your lights

You gave him a sincere smile and closed your eyes, “Good night Jungkookie.”

Ahh some sappy and filler chapters until it gets serious again xD
