Jongin excused himself to head upstairs to his room after taking that call; explaining that he wasn’t quite in the mood anymore for neither going out nor helping Yixing find his lost mother. Especially with Kyungsoo’s broken sobs echoing through his ears and tugging painfully at his heartstrings. He never liked admitting it out loud, but to him Kyungsoo was more than just a mere cousin, more than just a relative who happened to live with them. Kyungsoo was his family, his best friend and the only living creature out there whom Jongin wasn’t afraid to share his deepest secrets with. So when a person like Kyungsoo gets hurt, by none other than Park Chanyeol, whom lover is bond to get married to Kim Jongin, and whom Jongin himself once thought was in love with, then nothing good would ever come out of that equation—nothing good whatsoever and Jongin would make sure of that himself.

“C’mon Kyungsoo hyung, answer your damn phone!” Jongin gritted, pleading to his dear god that nothing bad has happened to his elder as he clutched the phone tightly with his right hand—knuckles turning white at the force. His cousin was still not picking his phone up and Jongin felt his anxiety increase. He was worried sick about the doe eyed male, his wavery voice as he repeated how cold and uncaring Chanyeol acted with him when he stupidly confessed and got rejected made Jongin’s heart squeeze on itself for so many different reasons, the tanned male swore he’ll get Chanyeol pay for this even if it took him his whole life trying. After all the things they’ve done for him, that maid’s of a son. That ungrateful bastard, he was so going to pay.

“Kyungsoo hyung, c’mon answer your phone, please.” By some sort of a miracle, Kyungsoo finally picked up his phone and answered with a breathy ‘Jongin-ah’ that made the tanned male jump on his feet by a mixture of both sheer surprise and relief. “Hyung! Are you alright? What happened? Please don’t do anything you’ll regret, Kyungsoo hyung he’s not worth—“

“Jongin-ah, calm down. It’s okay now.” His cousin assured, making Jongin take a long shaky breath to stop the crazily unhealthy fast pounding of his heart; he closed his almond-shaped eyes tight for a second before sitting back on his bed with furrowed brows.

“Hyung, I’m worried sick about you—“

“Don’t be Jongin-ah, please.” There was a moment of silence but it didn’t take long for Kyungsoo’s velvety voice to be heard once again, pathetically cracking as he feigned strength. “I’m fine, I promise. I was just exaggerating. I wasn’t supposed to act like that, I had no right of—it’s not Chanyeol’s fault, it’s my fault, I should’ve known better.“

“Hyung, don’t you dare blame yourself!”

“Jongin,” The tanned male clenched his jaw; his grip tightening even harder on the poor device. “He’s in love with someone and I’m his best friend.”

“Hyung—“

“Instead of being there for him, I went with my selfish needs and confessed to him. I made him choose between his best friend and the one he loves. Jongin, I made things even worse for him. He didn’t have to choose because Chanyeol was always honest, for as long as I could remember Chanyeol has always treated me like a best friend and I crossed the line…it’s my fault so please Jongin-ah, please don’t do something stupid to hurt him.”

Jongin was about to say something when Kyungsoo cut him swiftly off with a sigh. “It’s not Chanyeol’s fault that he didn’t fall for us like we did. Don’t hurt Yixing just because the one he loves broke your heart. Chanyeol never promised to not break it so please, for me Jongin, don’t do something you’ll regret.”

“So now you’re being on his side? After all the he’s done you’re just going to act like nothing ever happened?” Kyungsoo sighed again before muttering a low stern ‘Jongin’ but was interrupted from saying anything more by Jongin’s venom laced voice.

“Good for you then hyung, but I’m not you. I will not easily forgive and forget and I already swore he’ll never get back together with his supposed lover. I’m sorry Kyungsoo hyung, but just because you’re a coward doesn’t mean I have to be one too. He hurt you and now you’re going back to his . I never thought I’d say it but I’m truly disappointed in you cousin.”

“Jongin, I’m not going to easily forgive him, okay? But that doesn’t mean I should make plans to murder him just because he didn’t feel the same as me.  Get those stupid thoughts out of your head and move on. For your own good Jongin, please get over him and find a way to get out of that absurd marriage.”

“That’s what you’re going to do? Get over him by using Junmyeon’s feelings for you?”

“I’m giving Junmyeon a chance not using him.” Jongin snorted a hollow lifeless chuckle at that.

“Sure you are. About me moving on, I think you’re right hyung.” Kyungsoo made a relieved noise from the other line and Jongin sneered. “Actually, I already have someone in mind.”

“You do?” His elder cousin sounded obnoxiously uncertain and worried—Jongin curled his mouth into a dark smirk before shortly confirming the other’s clear doubt in his words.

“Yep.” Before dropping the gut-wrenching news on his doe eyed cousin, a shadow followed by a movement caught the tanned male’s eyes and his smirk soon enough widened as he spotted Yixing’s figure leaning against the frame of his door with a hesitant smile—wearing an oversized blue shirt tucked into a white short shorts that did nothing to hide the delicious outline of his crotch and thighs.

“Kyungie, gotta go now, talk to you later dear cousin.” Kyungsoo called out his name, still not ready to end their discussion without getting a name, but Jongin had other plans in mind and now that his cousin reassured him that he was alright and that he was already planning on moving on, Jongin was glad to say that his devilish mission was just getting to the good part.

“Hey.” Yixing said before pushing his body off the door; walking with unsure steps towards Jongin’s bed with a pink mug in hand.

“Hi.” The tanned male took a confused glance at Yixing’s hand before jerking his head up towards the Chinese male’s face. Yixing smiled softly before handing the said mug to a totally baffled Jongin.

“Chips and fried chicken are terribly unhealthy for a breakfast meal. Well, at least eating just Chips and fried chicken is, so I made you hot chocolate. Um, yeah, here you go.” The Chinese male awkwardly pushed the mug towards Jongin’s hands before taking his hand back to scratch the back of his head in embarrassment. Jongin stared down at the mug and smiled when the first thing he noticed were some floating marshmallows.

“Such a caring wifeu.” Jongin teased and Yixing chuckled before playfully smacking Jongin’s right arm. “Why pink though?”

“Because obviously you’re the wifeu, ballerina boy.” Jongin took a sip of his hot chocolate to hide his blooming smirk. His plan was going smoothly on the right direction and he was thrilled for what was to come. Everything was perfect for now and Jongin was planning on keeping it this way for as long as he could. Teasing, touching each other every now and then and being completely comfortable with one another promised nothing but good news for the near future. Chanyeol was going to regret ever messing with the Kims.

“So you know I used to dance ballet, what else do you know about me?”

“Umm, not much to be honest.” Yixing pursed his lips as he thought about it. “Oh, I also know that you like dogs and used to go to an all boys school.” Jongin laughed openly at Yixing’s proud grin, but his laugh soon died when the Chinese male’s grin faltered. “Jongin, please tell me, did something bad happen back home?”

“Why would you ask that?”

“Because you’re clearly upset and—look I didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but you were yelling and—I’m sorry…” Yixing lowered his head in shame and Jongin’s eyes widened in fear at the other male’s alerting confession; his head storming as he tried to remember if he mentioned Chanyeol’s name or not during the heated conversation.

“What did you hear exactly?”

“Something about Kyungsoo-ssi being a coward and…Junmyeon something and that you like someone. I’m so sorry, I was worried something bad might have happened to Chanyeol so I made you the hot chocolate and followed you but then you were on the phone and I didn’t want to interrupt you—“

“Yixing, it’s okay, you don’t have to apologize.” Jongin assured with a warm smile and a hand gently positioned on Yixing’s bare creamy thigh. The Chinese male carefully brought his head up to make sure Jongin wasn’t really mad at him as he just proclaimed. “Chanyeol is fine, it’s Kyungsoo hyung who’s suffering actually.”

“Why? What happened?”

“The one he loved since he was a teen broke his heart.” Jongin settled his mug on the bedside table before shifting his gaze back to a perplexed Yixing.

“Oh, is he okay?”

“No, not really, but he’s trying to convince himself that he’ll get over him by forcing himself into a new relationship that’s more than certainly doomed to fail.”

“I—I had no idea Kyungsoo-ssi had someone in his life.” Jongin ran his fingers faintly over the other male’s bare smooth flesh; Yixing naively obvious to the sleazy action as he tried to recall if Chanyeol had ever shared something with him about Kyungsoo’s love life.

“Forget about it wifeu, it’s none of our business.” Jongin voiced before pinching Yixing’s thigh to bring him back from his thoughts. The Chinese male squeaked; a funny expression gracing his pale face before he roughly slapped Jongin’s offending hand away. The tanned male burst out into an obnoxious fit of laughter before attacking the other male with torturing tickles—easily pushing him back into the bed. Yixing yelped in surprise as he tried to free himself from Jongin’s grip and push the other male off him.

Their legs got tangled up and their breath soon enough started to come out labored and heavily short with every inhale.

The dark haired male couldn’t help but try and kick the younger male off him, though unfortunately that action only helped in making Jongin get pushed closer to his face and when Jongin couldn’t help but burst into a loud bubbly laugh, his hot breath came in contact with Yixing’s sensitive neck as a result, the latter’s body stiffened and a shameless breathy moan escaped.

Jongin immediately backed off with a mortified look plastered on his face as he stared down at a red faced flustered Yixing.

“Yixing?” The Chinese male covered his burning face with his slender hands as soon as Jongin took his hands back to himself. The tanned male quirked a brow in amusement.

“I have a sensitive neck, get off!” Yixing defensively barked and Jongin merely laughed.

“Okay, okay I’ll get off.” Jongin pushed himself off the elder man and took a quick sip of his hot chocolate before shifting his smirking face back to an adorably embarrassed Yixing. “Go get dressed, I’ll take a shower and meet you downstairs.”

“Where are we going?”

“To look for your mother you dummy.” Jongin said with a short chuckle while looking through his wardrobe for the perfect outfit to wear.

“But, I thought you said you weren’t in the mood—“

“Go, or I’ll tie you down to the bed and do more than just blow on your neck.” Yixing jumped up from the bed and run to his dear life with loud Chinese curses as he easily showed himself out. But before he could totally disappear to his own room, Jongin’s faint question stopped him in his tracks. It was probably meant to be unheard by him yet he couldn’t help but turn his head back with pinched brows.

“Excuse me?” Jongin blinked at him for a moment, shirt long gone and a new black one halfway through from being put on. He shook his head with a grin and finished adjusting his Supreme black shirt on before shifting his gaze back towards the confused Chinese male.

“I said, I don’t get what Chanyeol sees in you.” Yixing was visibly taken aback, brows furrowed in sheer confusion and muscles tense, he looked
