“Good morning and Happy New Year, Doojoon!” Doojoon blinked and rubbed his eyes. Four pairs of eyes were smiling at him. Doojoon quickly stood straight. “Eomma, Appa. Eommoni, Abeoji.” Mr. Yoon chuckled.

“I did tell them it’s still early to give surprise for you but your mother wants to see you so much…so we’re here.” Mr. Yoon said. “Sorry to disturb your morning, son.” Doojoon who was in daze dumbly welcomed them in. Mr. and Mrs. Son looked around.

“Where’s Woonie?” Mrs. Son asked. Doojoon scratched his hair.

“Uh, he’s still sleeping in the room.” They walked to the living room. The parents raised their brow when seeing a blanket and pillow on the couch. Mrs. Yoon turned to Doojoon.

“What’s happened there? Are you sleeping outside last night?” Doojoon startled and quickly moved to tidy up the blanket and pillow.

“Ah, neh. Em, I have things to do and I didn’t want Woonie’s sleep to be disturbed so I spent the night here. I fall asleep in the middle of reading.” Doojoon gave a quick excuse, lucky that there are books on the coffee table. The parents eyed him suspiciously while Doojoon just gave an awkward grin. “Sit down first, Eomma, Appa, Eommoni, Abeoji. I will get Dongwoon.” Doojoon said and went to the room with the blanket and pillow. He knocked the door lightly, not making the parents noticed. Oh well, last night Dongwoon acted up again and he had to sleep outside again. Their guest room was in the middle of renovation to change it as their baby’s room, so he can’t sleep in there. This time Dongwoon didn’t let him in at all as he locked the door and went to sleep so Doojoon can’t get inside. Few more knocks, the door unlocked. Doojoon got in quickly when he felt stares from the parents. Dongwoon startled when Doojoon suddenly got inside.

“What’s wrong with you?” Doojoon looked at his wife, noticing the same gentle look from him. The leader guessed that Dongwoon was already okay.

“Em, our parents are outside. They’re visiting because of New Year. I felt bad for unable to visit them but they visit us instead.” Doojoon exhaled. Dongwoon bit his lips.

“Doojoonie…”

“Nah, are you getting a bath already?” Dongwoon nodded. Doojoon smiled. “Go and meet them. I will be out in minutes, I need to bath.” Dongwoon nodded and Doojoon placed the things in his hand on the bed before grabbing his towel to the bathroom. Dongwoon just watched before he emerged out from the room. He smiled when he saw his parents.

“Morning, mom, dad. Sorry I was showering when you arrived, eommoni, abeoji.” Dongwoon said. They just nodded in understanding. Dongwoon shared a hug with his mother. The mothers were fascinated to see the baby bump. Ever since the two got married, the parents didn’t get the time to meet the couple. Doojoon and Dongwoon were busy and the parents also didn’t get the suitable time to go and meet their sons. When Mrs. Yoon got to know that her son-in-law already stopped going for his schedule, she suggested to her husband to go and visit them. Mr. Yoon wanted to go with Mr. Son and his wife as well, so they agreed to come and visit on New Year.

“You look good.” Mr. Son commented. Dongwoon just smiled.

“Yeah, I still have morning sickness but probably your grandson knows you’re coming so he behaves well today.” Dongwoon said as he caressed the bump lovingly. The parents just smiled. Dongwoon blinked. “Ah, I should get some drinks. I’m so forgetful.” Dongwoon got up. Mrs. Son got up as well. Dongwoon raised his brow. “Mom, you can sit. I will get the drinks.”

“Let me help.” Mrs. Son said, arguing with Dongwoon to the kitchen. The other just chuckled to see the tiny bickering. Mrs. Yoon followed the mother and son to the kitchen with the lunch pack she brought together. Dongwoon noticed her.

“Eommoni?”

“Oh well, I prepare some kimbap and few side dishes for you and Doojoon.” Mrs. Yoon handed the pack. Dongwoon gasped.

“Omo, kamsahamnida eommoni.” Mrs. Yoon smiled. Mrs. Son was pouring the orange juice into the glass.

“Pack out the kimbap, son. Let’s eat that for breakfast. You and Doojoon are not eating yet.” Dongwoon nodded and began to take out the kimbap to put on a plate. Mrs. Yoon stored the side dishes into the refrigerator while telling Dongwoon the position and reminding him to eat it later with Doojoon. Dongwoon assured h
